This is an excellent restaurant. You must however make reservations through open table. Drinks and food get a 10/10.

Great spot for brunch, they had a pretty good deal and the food was delicious.

Just make sure that the majority of your party is together upon showing up for your reservation. I had booked a table for 1:45 but had to wait to be seated until 2 o'clock because my friends were experiencing train delays. The restaurant is small and the bar can fill up quickly, so it's a bit awkward to have to wait in the small doorway until they will seat you.

Other than that it was a great atmosphere, with really great food and service. I highly recommend Fonda for any kind of meal or occasion!

The waitress was very nice and the food was fresh and delicious. I just expected a larger portion from the special i ordered, though the presentation was nice. The guacamole is memorable, as were the retried beans, and enchiladas. I will be back for sure.

Fonda is amazing always. Some of the best Mexican food in NYC and definitely the best I've found in Park Slope. The queso fundido appetizer is unlike any queso you've had before, perfectly stringy, cheesy, salty and topped with mushrooms or chorizo. The taquitos (small tacos) are an amazing value (less than $11 for 3) filling and have the most incredibly delicious meat, you literally can't go wrong, but the carne asada is a favorite. The margaritas are also exquisite. If you like frozen, I can't recommend the Rosalita (frozen hibiscus) enough - it's delicious and refreshing and goes perfectly with everything on the menu.

I love Fonda, my only issue with this venue is that I don't like to be rushed thru dinner. They have seating for 90 minutes only and then it feels like security is kicking you out of the venue. People literally coming thru and grabbing food and drinks you aren't finished and cleaning the table before you can even get the check. I didn't get asked if I wanted another drink, dessert etc. The place is very small and in an attempt to add more seating they take away the comfort of guest. You can barely move thru the venue without bumping someone's chair or table. Other than that the service was great before our 90 minutes ended and the food is awesome. I would have liked the cocktails to be a little stronger.

My suggestion to the owner is quality over quantity.

This was my second time dining at Fonda for Sunday brunch and i loved it. The staff are really friendly and always there when you need them. Highly recommended and Affordable. Their Frozen Hibiscus Rosalita is my favorite brunch drink.

Excellent restaurant. Wonderful service and fantastic food. I highly recommend it - and also recommend making a reservation as several people were turned away because there was no room. Its a neighborhood fav for me, but I encourage you to travel in just for the food. Thanks Fonda!
