Fond’s interior features natural tones and elements, including a 12-seat live-edge wood bar, where guests may enjoy a selection of beers, well-crafted cocktails and a thoughtfully curated wine list. The 36-seat dining room with its bright display of greenery throughout and oversized windows overlooking the neighborhood’s ‘Singing Fountain’ enhance the restaurant’s comfortable, welcoming ambiance. During warmer months, ample sidewalk seating is available for guests to enjoy food and drink al fresco.
Very cute spot with good drinks and service, however, the food was subpar. Almost every dish was disappointing.
Food was good but it took one hour for our entrees to be served. Restaurant was drafty - my husband had to wear his hat to keep his head warm. Noisy by bar.
We got the Valentine’s tasting and loved it! We also got wine pairing and it could not have been better. Food was well prepared and drinks were mixed perfectly! Talented chef as well as a talented bartender. Service was incredible very attentive without being obtrusive. We ‘Klugman be back!
We tried the five course tasting menu and it did not disappoint. Each course was thoughtfully prepared and complimented the next. From the stroganoff with black truffle and the delicious pork belly, the entire meal was a wonderful experience. The cocktails were great too! We will be back.
The servers, especially Adam, are at the top of the restaurant scene in Philly. The bartender prepares some of the best cocktails around. Our meal was delicious. Our appetizers of Oyster Rockefeller and Escargot were tasty. The main entrees of Pork Belly and Duck Confit were exceptional, as were our sorbet and chocolate cheesecake for dessert. A true neighborhood gem!
I had a goodly sized piece of foie gras and a lovely piece of back bacon. There may have been some vegetables involved, but I don’t recall. And the service was EXCELLENT!
Went for Valentines Day dinner so may have been an atypical experience, but it was a pretty disappointing ~$270 meal (for two, pre-tip). Arrived on-time for 9pm reservation, sat down at 945pm, and didn’t receive main course until just before midnight. Small thing, but had to ask for bread as waiter skipped us for some reason. Left before dessert at 1230am because we were falling asleep. Generally don’t expect fast service on Valentine’s Day, but it was a late reservation so I expected better, and the waiters did not acknowledge the delays or comp us for a glass of wine or something as a gesture. The appetizers were excellent (the soup especially), but the surf and turf was served lukewarm and was average. Might be better on a non-valentines night, but not willing to try again.
Food and service were terrific. Tables were very close together which made seating a little less comfortable than usual. Not a huge fan of the Prix Fixe approach (at a minimum would suggest a few more options) but everything was delicious l.
The food was excellent, the staff was attentive and the restaurant was perfectly sized.
Excellent flavorful food, attentive staff, however quite noisy. Dining experience could be improved by adding soft elements to wall surfaces to absorb sound.
Stopped by brunch; the omelette are creative & tasty. The home fries are the best I’ve had. I would highly recommend Fond!
Such a great experience! Cocktails were amazing and the food was delicious, each of us finished our dishes with nothing to spare!
One of my favs, excellent quality and execution!
Reliable and perfect! This seems to be where we end up for every wedding anniversary, 3 years running :)
The service st Fond is a 10! I highly recommend this place. One of the pest of East Passyunk.
Excellent as usual!
Brunch was Outstanding
We celebrated a family birthday party at the chef's table. At the last minute the chef and server bent over backwards to accommodate vegan members of our party. The food was absolutely fabulous especially the fancy mushroom whose name I'm unable to remember, but was clearly amazing. The staff is always warm and efficient. I would definitely suggest this as a special occasion or romantic destination. Good clean food and lovely people. What could be better?
We tried the tasting menu. It was delicious and the portions were just enough. I would certainly go back. The cocktails were VERY well done. The bartender went out of his way to ask our preferences.
I had my birthday brunch at Fond and the food was delish and the service was fabulous!!
I did not have a great first experience at Fond, but I have been many times since and every other experience has been great. The service is always wonderful and you can always depend on the food being good. Especially for brunch.
Fond is consistantly among the best restaurants in Philadelphia. Don't hesitate- GO! You'll love it.
Simply amazing, every single time! The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating...The food sublime. Chef Lee's foie gras is the best outside of Paris! A great place for a cozy date or outing with friends. We love it!
Fond is without a doubt our favorite restaurant in Philadelphia. From the most incredible food to the friendliest staff, it is the most perfect dining experience from start to finish. Carney’s warm hospitality and unbelievable cocktails are a special highlight. He is truly a master of his craft. Thank you, everyone - We can’t wait for our next visit!
Awesome!! Wonderful dinner here!
Always excellent! The food and service is consistently terrific!
Fantastic food and service per usual. Definitely my favorite restaurant in Philly!! I love it here so much
I enjoyed my meal at Fond and the service was excellent! The pasta with brown butter, ricotta, and butternut squash was delicious and my husband enjoyed the “green circle” chicken dish. Ambiance is cozy and inviting. Highly recommend!
The food, the cocktails and the service were fantastic. Fond never disappoints Usually we go for brunch which is equally as wonderful but our dining experience was fantastic what a great place
Second time there, second time the most excellent brunch experience - will be back again!
I took my gf here for her birthday. The food, service, and ambiance were outstanding. The restaurant was packed and the staff was dialed in. The food was excellent. Black squid ink risotto is a must try! I would gladly go again! 😸
One of my favorite restaurants in Philly. Couldn't recommend highly enough!
We really needed the Fond treatment that night. A friendly, attentive waiter; a round of cocktails; an intriguing selection of entrees and appetizers; a little "amuse-bouche" from the kitchen; slices of great artisinal bread from a basket; all leading up to a delicious meal. We're very lucky to have a spot like this in our neighborhood when we need this kind of sophisticated comfort food. It's a little on the pricey side but a great value in pleasure.
The food was excellent and the service was even better!
We have never been disappointed at Fond. The food is amazing and the service is always great. The portions are incredibly generous and the wine pairing was fabulous. The chicken liver mousse is our favorite dish.
PHENOMENAL food! I absolutely loved everything about Fond. I live over an hour away and I can’t wait to come back!
Everything was absolutely amazing, from the food to the service. I will definitely be going back.
Our visit to Fond on a Sunday evening was just lovely. Such a pleasant change from all of the trendy restaurants where the noise level makes conversation impossible. The food was wonderful - perfectly fresh, expertly prepared, and with interesting sides and sauces. Service was perfect - our wine glasses were filled magically without us even noticing. This restaurant would be perfect for a date or a get together with friends who want to enjoy a great mean AND each other's company. Nice wine and cocktail list as well.
