This reservation was made to celebrate my husband for Father’s Day. We loved going to the Bellevue, WA location. So we thought, why not try the Seattle, WA location. We deeply regret coming. All of the meats were DANGEROUSLY salty. Our reservation was at 12:00; the cold bar, where fruits, sides, Salads are kept, weren’t replenish in a timely manner. Our server that originally had our table left for an hour and there was no communication from anyone else during that time. We were left with empty drinking glasses. We had flag down someone to get refills. One of the managers had to tell a server to stop what they’re doing so they can check on us. We didn’t see our server until it was time to pay for our bill and the bill was input incorrectly. It seemed like the only meat that the Gauchos walked around with was different cuts of steak. The location in Bellevue, WA had many different meat selections. There were two managers that walked around in navy blue suits. They had no concern for the safety of their employees or the guests for that matter. There were children running around the dinning area. Although, it’s ultimately the parents responsibility to ensure their child/children are being watched. However, none of the staff talked to the guests to inform them that their children must remain seated or at least be in close proximity of the table. The Gauchos walk around with hot cuts of meat and sharp objects to serve the customers. It would be a shame if an accident happens because of negligence on either the restaurant staff or the parents. And lastly, my family and I had the Indulgent Experience (what we always get). For a total of $275.60, I would expect to receive better service and quality food. Unfortunately, that’s not what we had. I don’t believe this is a matter of what Fogo De Chao, as a whole, has to offer. The lack of attention to detail and pride falls on this specific team and management at the Seattle, WA location.

Very understaffed- we went on a Wednesday night to celebrate a birthday. It took 20 minutes before meat servers came around our table. Then, they came very sporadically, very unlike our past Bellevue experience. The location is very nice, they do not validate parking (though it is only $10 in the evening.) We waited 30 minutes and finally flagged someone down to ask for the meat servers to come around again and to order dessert. I hope the location learns to manage their staffing needs better. We were there for over 3.5 hours because of the delayed service.

Service not great… only 2 waitresses for entire restaurant..took 20 min to get waitress to our table to order meat. Sauces were not provided until 2nd serving of meat.

All the staff was kind, pleasant, and helpful. We waited about 20 minutes for our server - no one had even come by to offer water. When I asked a different server to find out who was responsible for our table the answer was “I am not sure” I had to press and say “well that’s not the answer I was hoping to hear. Could you please find out who it is or let your manager know that we have not been attended to.” Our server came over shortly and was very pleasant . After we had practically finished our meal he asked if there was anything else and we brought up the crab cakes. He apologized and said he had forgot to punch in that order. He offered to get some but we declined as we had finished. Again he was very pleasant and helpful and apologized. But overall I question if I would come back again.

This was my first time to Fogo de Chao and it did not disappoint! Make sure you go very hungry as the food is amazing and there is lots of it. The steaks were cooked to perfection. We will be back.

We had a terrific meal and experience at Fogo de Chao. The food was superb and the selection was terrific. Great place to take a friend, date, business associate, family, and really anybody else.

Considering they just opened in September there were still some growing pains which is expected when almost all of the staff I had talked to had only just visited the Bellevue location just before they opened so that’s obviously a big caveat and weight in how I felt about the experience. Meat selection was far better than at other Fogo locations I’ve visited. They were extremely fast and accurate when we put in a specific request. Brought out the exact meat, uncut, and to the exact temp we requested in all of 3 minutes after requesting. This happened three times. Our server was a bit bubbly and very conversational which was fine but aside from that she was quite skilled at her service. The gauchos were also incredibly respectful, quick, and inquired about what we’d like when we had declined three of their offerings in a row. Not out of frustration but in an effort to make their rounds more efficient. They asked what temp and what meats we’d like to see and less than a four minutes later they were at our table with our requests. The manager came by three times to ask us about our experience and asked about the quality of the service (both were great). Noise was probably the biggest complaint considering the acoustics of where we sat (right up on the wall in the middle of the restaurant) and they were a packed house about an hour into our time there. That and the drinks did take a while to be made. Looked like they only had one bartender who wasn’t trying to rush (for good reason). Overall though I was pleasantly surprised considering the time I had the Bellevue location. Much better in its operation and quality/selection of food. Hope they keep this up. Last note is that although the meat quality was quite good, it still doesn’t hold a candle to the quality of the food at the Texas De Brazil in Tacoma. That could just be a chain difference though. If they can pick that quality up a bit, I would definitely prefer to go here than drive to Tacoma for better food.

Love to dine at Fogo de Chao, and have from coast to coast. First visit to the Seattle location and probably the last. Food was consistent so no complaint there but the service was lacking. We arrived for our reservation 3 minutes early and it was not ready. Restaurant was not busy and it took 20 minutes to prepare our table. Once seated the service was slow and very incomplete. The flow of food out to the table caused our party to dine at different times all evening. Very disappointing.

The meat was so overcooked and/or tough from fat/gristle or just being bad cuts that I discarded more than I ate. Some pieces were entirely inedible. When I told the server, she laughed. I’m not sure if she couldn’t hear me because I could barely hear her, as softly as she spoke. I’d read reviews about how inattentive the service was, and yes, it’s true. After my wife left the table to got to the restroom, I remained standing so that I could more effectively wave down our server after I had grown tired of waiting for the check. By the time my wife came back, I was still standing, still waving whenever our server was in our area, still being ignored, not just by her, but by any of the other staff, too. When she finally noticed and I asked for the bill, she asked how the evening had gone. I told her how hard and long I’d been trying to get her attention to ask for the bill (we’d been seated for 2.5 hours and had been waiting for the check for 30 minutes), again she just laughed. The bill came, but delivered by a customer service manager. She asked how the evening went and I said not good, explaining our issues with the food. I didn’t even mention the worst “Negroni” I’d ever had that came with a few floating ice cubes and tasting like pure Campari. They comped us all the food, which was surprisingly gracious. This person knew what she was doing. The rest of the staff seem to be very young, just mailing it in, sometimes adequately, sometimes not. Front of house is a disaster, an unmanned station, an afterthought with no welcome, and a host whose expression and demeanor couldn’t be less affected by having a job of greeting and helping customers. No smiles, no greeting, wait times, even though we were early for our reservation in a half-full restaurant. Horrible way to start an evening. The space is beautifully designed and pleasant—except it’s uncomfortably warm. Lastly some kind of dress code should be enforced. Cutoffs and tanks are not ok in a restaurant.
