    To start, we were seated at our reservation time. My partner and I thought that was a good sign. When we ordered, we were told about where to get our sides while we waited for out entrees. My partner ordered “the tour” to try all that was being offered, and I ordered “picanha.” By the time the first meat came around, my partner only received a piece that was consumed in two bites. A few minutes later, a new meat to try, and same small portion. While this was going on, I ordered a drink from the bar. I flagged down our server, who took the order again. It took 2 atonal waiters and a manager to get a drink. I asked a total of four times. Back to dinner… my partner got rightly 4 oz of various meats over 40 minutes. My entree was not in sight. We flag down our waiter, who rudely said, “I just take orders, I don’t bring meat” and walked away. He had tossed a bowl of Brazilian tapioca rolls onto the table without a word, but loudly still. We were able to get the attention of another manager, Crystal P, who apologized for the lack of service and meal. She gave her best effort to try to salvage the experience and honestly, she should be commended for her quick intervention from the waiter’s statement. She assisted to the best of her ability, and we appreciate her for it. My feeling is that this place is just an overpriced salad bar, with staff that likes to ignore their guests.

    I have been to Fogo’s all over the country- 5 or so times a year for the last ten years. This was sadly my worst experience. I booked for a very special Birthday celebration - we arrived 5 minutes prior to our reservation and it was chaos in the waiting area. We were told people were taking longer to eat than expected so it would be a bit. It was a 35 minute wait past our reservation time . We were seated and ordered drinks and went up to marketplace - there was soup but no bowls or spoons and several dishes were near empty. None of my beloved signature favs like an apple salad…. Went back to table and we were brought overcooked polenta and undercooked plantains…round 2 at marketplace….. bowls, but no soup….. sigh. Back at table order drinks - 30 mins later we get 3 of 4 ordered….. another 15 mins to get the 4th….. round 3 at marketplace….. soup! Yay! We get some, so much black pepper in the butternut squash soup no one can eat it …. Order third round of drinks….. never comes…… twiddling thumbs at table waiting…… 45 mins later a lady asks us if we are waiting for something….. we all say yes simultaneously…… she checks out drinks - we get 3 of 4 AGAIN….. we don’t touch them…. Waiting in the 4th…. Another 20 mins….. we already had the check and had paid by then…… the drinks were totally wrong and we took one sip and said no…… but no one ever came back….. we just left ….. oh! And the special birthday celebration was an afterthought because we ordered and paid for dessert- were full and we were given a birthday dessert as we were leaving ( and of course didn’t ask why no one was touching their drinks) absolutely awful experience and we will not be dining at the Providence Fogo again.

    We were sat 20 minutes after our reservation time. That wouldn’t be a problem but our party was going to an event we then had to rush through dinner to get to on time. At the table, the service was subpar. We had to ask anyone who would listen for drinks and when we did get a chance to order, they took more than 20 minutes to arrive, plus one was forgotten. Probably won’t be back and will find and other place in the area.

    Took over 30 minutes for my salmon. Received it and it was chewy and overcooked. Took over 15 minutes for someone to realize I had a barely untouched fish in front of me that no one was eating. They offered a free dessert. I ended up waiting long for that too. The tableside meats were good though. I’m tired of giving this place any extra chances. Evenings have ended much worse than they started coming here the last few times. At least this time, they gave us the correct check at the end of the night.

    Have been many times… this time the people coming to the table were not on there game. Chicken came three times to the table and pork before any other meat came. We had to ask for it to come to the table. When we asked they flooded the table of five… and then slowed to non existent again… Just not our usual experience.

    Fogo de Chão is not a Brazilian steakhouse house. They do serve the steak Brazilian style and have a good caipirinha (a Brazilian cocktail), but that’s it. The restaurant has lost its identity years ago and it keeps getting worse. Food quality and variety was below average. Very few cuts of meat which was hard to get - we had to ask multiple times for the “gauchos” to stop by our table. Desserts were not good. Espresso coffee was huge and meh. Prices were high and the experience was very disappointing - we were a party of 11 (a mix of Brazilians and Americans and everyone left with the same impression). We won’t be back. Friendly staff, however they seemed flustered and/or understaffed.

    This was our second visit to this location since it opened. First time the service was very very slow, but we figured maybe it was because it was new so we decided we would come back and try it again, we had a party of 9 the second time and although the actual server was great everything else was extremely slow, drinks took over 30 minutes for our first round. The food salad station was not good at all even the pineapple was rotted you could tell the food wasn’t fresh. We kept asking to get our meats on the medium/medium well side and it wasn’t until about 45 minutes after that we had to let our waiter know that we had not gotten any meat at the requested temperature. Overall, very disappointed and can’t say we will return , I was hoping this would be a great new addition to Providence but so far it has just been disappointing.

    Overall experience was great! Our server was great and very attentive. Like other people have said on here, some of the service is a bit on the slower side. Took almost 15 mins to get our second round of drinks. We had inquired a few times about some of the higher end meats and kept getting told they would be around. It was almost 45 mins from the first time we asked about them before they came out. In general the food and atmosphere are terrific! I also know this location is still new and will take some time to get the kinks worked out.

    Server neglected us. Only visited twice and forgot to enter out drinks in the system. Then when he did enter it, he left it at the bar. I had to ask one of the people clearing tables about our drink. Then a manager had to bring it. About 45 minutes to get our drink

    The issue with the door the having to wait for our table in the cold. This needs to be solved. My date wore her coat the 3/4 of the night and we were seated further back by the food. We would have left if we were by the front. I understand the guests had the doors open but like I said , could have thought of how busy it would be and made arrangements to keep both checked in guests and waiting guests happy. Most places don’t let their front door get open all night. Top off the fact there was about 50 people all staring at you in this freezing cold to make it feel like the more they cooled down the place the faster people inside would leave. No organization to tell people when their table was ready. I was shouting to everyone in the breezeway the names I was hearing myself. Slight issues with cocktails - finally got the right one after 3 attempts. Paid for it/ no issue there we did drink it once it finally came after 25 mins Waiter was nice but thank goodness I have been here before so I knew what we were missing in our experience. All tables around us got their mash and plantains before us even though we sat first. The meat was not coming around very fast. Very long time in between and clearly trying to push the sausage. We were there for 1 hour and 30 mins and the tenderloin came around once - basically super rare. Still took a piece . Asked for MED , I would have thought they would have come back again with our requested temp. Nope. I finally flipped my card to red because between the cold in the air that was freezing my date and the fact that they will bring out steaks but skip over some tables was very disappointing. Clearly it was a holiday but I do expect the same quality service and food since even on holidays the price and experience should stay the same.

    Our first waiter soon dropped us like a hot potato because we were not going to go for the “full experience”, so, seeing that his tip would be equivalent to the expense we were about to have, he ditched us. Very disorganized. It was Valentine’s Day, we had reservations and we had to wait a while for a table. One could tell that they overbooked their tables. Advice to the restaurant, don’t be greedy - quality over quantity should always be a good measure if a restaurant’s success.

    The greeter is not a good front for this restaurant she’s pretentious. The place is huge and was pretty much empty when we arrived. The first table she sat us at was a table for 4 but in the corner right next to where they store the extra chairs. We felt like second class citizens. We asked to be moved. The salad bar was good and good selection. But when you go to a Brazilian bbq you expect to be inundated by…meat. We had the same meats offered to us over and over when the sausages in this case went passed out table but was not offered. The meats seemed like cuts that are not good cuts of beef. The lamb was very rare. Just an overall aweful experience. Felt like a total waste of time and money. Don’t bother. They new things were bad as I saw two other tables besides ours get complimentary meal cards…I’m good…will never return.

    They overbooked for a Saturday night. We had a 25 minute wait past our reservation. There is no place to wait. People just packed in by the front door. The seating is such that our table was located next to the long line of frustrated people waiting for a table. They ran out of staple foods, they said they were making more. We never saw it. Our daughter’s steak did not arrive at our table until 20 after my wife and I were served. Would not go back, and would not recommend.

    I believe the restaurant overbooked themselves. After waiting for 30-minutes past our reservation time my husband inquired how much longer it’d be. the hostess told us another 20-minutes which was unacceptable since we had a show after dinner. The lead hostess noticed the interaction and sat us at a table that had been empty the whole time. The meat waiters rarely came by our table. At one point it took 30min between them stopping by. With them being a higher scale Brazilian steakhouse, that should never be the case. Other Brazilian steakhouses charge half the price for way better service. To be completely fair, our waiter was great and did his best to redeem our experience which we were grateful for. All in all, it could’ve been a lot better based on the price.

    Great first Brazilian Steakhouse experience! Fogo de Chão has really set the bar for my expectations of a Brazilian steakhouse. The service was great and it was impressive to see how well all of the employees worked together to make our dining experience memorable. The meats were cooked and seasoned to perfection. I will definitely be back!

    While the food was delicious, when they came around with the meats it was feast or famine! There would be numerous meats all at once, then nothing for 30 minutes. We actually had to ask if there was more coming. At the end, they had accidentally double billed us which they fixed upon us telling them.

    Excellent service and quality. I have dined at several churrascos in Brazil after working there for 11 years, including Fogo De Chao in Rio. This experience was very close to those experienced in Brazil. The quality of meat was as good as you will get and the caparinhas were on point. The level of service was excellent with multiple servers verifying our satisfaction throughout the night. Well worth the visit.

    We had such a nice time at the Carnival kick off. All of the staff were welcoming and attentive, the drinks delicious! Look forward to more fun events, it was a great value as well.

    Food was very good -- when we could get it. We wound up at a table that was easy to skip when the servers were floating around. We complained to a manager, who helped a bit. But there were long periods where we were brought nothing. For the final 30 minutes we got one person to come to our table and gave us a small serving of a less-exciting cut. Our toddler was expiring, so we asked for a check and left. We never saw any of the exclusive dinner cuts. I will never again go during a busy time. Lunch service has been good. This dinner was just awful.

    This was our first experience with Fogo de Chao in Providence, RI. The interior is very comfortable, stylish and contemporary. The bar is beautiful. The restaurant has a high-end feel and ambiance. The staff was friendly, but not overly polished or consistently professional. The service was exceptionally slow, particularly in obtaining drink orders. The first round took a full 20 plus minutes (one of the waiters came over after we inquired on where they were and indicated there was a computer glitch -yeh, right). After the second order didn't arrive for 15 minutes we inquired and someone went to check on it. It took another 10 minutes. Oddly, the bar was nearly empty. Part of the issue might be that the wait staff doesn't seem to be assigned to specific tables or areas. The food itself was generally good. We opted to try the CHURRASCO EXPERIENCE which was interesting and fun. Whether it was intentional or not, we're not sure - but there were lots of the lower cost meats offered regularly (particularly chicken, linguica and lower end steak cuts) by the staff circling through the restaurant. But the higher end cuts weren't brought around as often. We had to ask for lamb chops. We were there for 2 hours and were not offered the double bone-in pork chop, the bone-in ribeye, the regular pork or the beef ribs. The majority of selections that did arrive though were very good. A few were either overcooked, or very rare. So look around at the stick of meat they present and don't be afraid to ask for the cooked temp you prefer. The service was nearly non-existent when it was time to obtain a check and have our card run. We waited at least 15 minutes and ended up walking up to the host station and asking someone to run our card. All around a decent experience, but one we wouldn't need to repeat.

    We made reservations as asked but yet still had to wait close to an hour to get seated. Now once seated, after picking out the basically filler food from the “buffet” area, we had to wait for the meats to make its way around if it ever did. We was seated next to the bar and it seemed as if we were always the last table, because i watched plenty of times how the meats would run out before it made it to my table. The few pieces of meats that made it to my table were all bland and raw, since most of it was the middle of the meat. These meats are not top cut meats. Definately not worth the wait or price. Such a let down. I was there for 1.5 hours but yet i was only served meat 4 times. Go figure. I felt robbed.

    I've eaten at many similar restaurants, including others in the chain. I was very disappointed by my experience. First, the restaurant was jammed. The bar was also jammed. There isn't enough room in the small spot where folks wait for their reservation. The noise level was quite high. It was like eating in a stadium. The service was quite slow. We waited quite a bit in between meat services. I ordered a single drink 3 times and it took them longer than 30 minutes to bring it to me after the 2 additional reminders. The salad buffet was not properly stocked and many items needed to be restocked. Then finally, when the bill comes, it is as high as the most classy restaurants in RI. In any of those other restaurants, I would have been pampered, and my wife and I would have had a romantic evening. Instead, it was too loud to talk, and we were frustrated. We won't be visiting this restaurant again or recommending it to others.

    I went to sit at the bar and was served by Christian he was fantastic I got a caipirinha and it was delicious. I got the spiced chicken sliders and liked it so much I ordered another one right after. Finished my meal with an espresso and all for $25 it’s hard to beat.

    Had their Lamb Chops and Empanadas from their Happy Hour menu. Delicious and tender...the lamb chops were tender and delicious....great deal...4 of them for $15. Great bar staff.
