Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse - Washington DC Ratings and Reviews
Absolutely wonderful service. We arrived 20 minutes earlier than our reservation and was seated almost immediately.
Service was attentive, prompt and courteous. Food was delicious. Cocktails were really good - not skimpy on flavor or alcohol. Each team member was courteous and respectful.
Bathrooms were clean.
Excellent as always - took the parents after a long day wandering the National Mall. “Salad bar” really doesn’t do Fogo’s pre-dinner zone justice. All the choices are tasty. Service was outstanding - in fact, our server brought us out a dessert “just because.” The filet cuts were amazing - Fogo never disappoints.
Ok. I have been coming to Fogo de Chao for over 10 years. Minneapolis, Dallas and especially Washington DC. I usually give 5 stars across the board. First, staff more bartenders. 12 minutes and not even a "hello"? Very uncool on management. Also, don't rush me. I hate that. Otherwise, all was excellent. Take this as a learning experience.
Service and quality were outstanding, Fantistic quality salad bar and meats Location is great.
We were visiting town and have been to other Brazilian Steakhouses in different cities, This was outstanding. The waiters and the Gouchos are top notch. The wine list is extensive as well, By the glass or bottle. Thanks for a great time.
The restaurant staff pushed the alcohol and desserts more than they pushed the main features, which were the meats. There is no real system as to which meats gets to your table and when. There were varieties of meats presented to us long after most of us had finished eating. The sides were very small. The chees bread was hard and crispy. It was hard to find a waiter unless you need a drink. The menu and options were not explained by the staff. Very expensive and extremely disappointing. I will not go back.
This place was AMAZING!!! I have eaten at many Brazilian Steakhouses and love the concept of the style of dining. This particular one has many more meat options than typical Brazilian steakhouses. Everything from beef, to chicken, to pork to lamb. I would not go here as a vegan as it is a huge cost not to enjoy the meats. This was my husband’s and I on a date night before a long awaited concert and the two of us for dinner plus each with a Brazilian soda (Guaraná) was upwards of $135 plus add the tip. This is a high end dinner. It does not call for slacks or black tie however dressy casual or date night, anniversaries are perfect. I would love to return.
The food was very good. Quality meats and sides. The service was also exceptional and attentive. Only con was that I thought the salad bar was limited. At other Brazilian steak houses I’ve been to (for $60) there were more items, soups, vegetables , etc. at the salad bar.
We usually like this place and have always had good Mel's and good service. Tonight however -disappointed. Service was mediocre, food was just ok -a lot of the meat actually cold and way over done, even when asked for medium rare to rare. Even Caesar salad was wilty. Services were overwhelmed and slow. We asked socially for a couple of things and got everything but what we asked for. Brought by the cheaper meats a lot. Really different than what we were used to. Capariannas were the best part of the meal by far!! Disappointed and will not be back for a while:(
I go for the meat. The salad bar is pretty good, above average. It not exceptional but that's not why I'm there. They've always been able to accommodate me for a team business lunch with about 10-15 folks, even when they're booked. I used to go about once a month. The service is always pretty good.
I had only been to Chima in Tysons before which is much better. This place is very touristy and has no outdoor place to relax. Very noisy - ambiance is sub-par. They kept skipping us with the meat which was disappointing, though once I told one of the guys - about 5 guys in a row came around. Sides were good. Meat was good. Everything else was meh
This has been my team's go-to for a few years as a great spot for a quarterly lunch or special occasion such as departing members or greeting new ones. The food is ALWAYS good, and the service friendly and responsive. It's pricey, yes, but always a good experience.
