Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse - Washington DC Ratings and Reviews
We are regular customers but the variety is changing & they don't bring out enough of the more expensive cuts. We were there 2 hours & just as we had finished they brought out the short rib! And it wasn't crowded, actually pretty empty to my surprise. I like Fogo & always suggest it's not as good as it used to be.
This was my first time and I was not disappointed. At first, the deal seemed too good to be true. Once you flip your coaster over, it was immediate that someone was offering you meat. The beef products were delicious. I would pass on the chicken though. Overall, I would rate it an A+ and I will definitely be back.
This place is incredible. The service is always amazing and the food is even better. Dinner can run you about $170 for two people once you factor in dessert and drinks, so this isn't your every weekend type of place. However, for special occasions this is definitely one of the best options in DC. You will not be disappointed!
I have always loved Fogo. I have been to the Atlanta location many times and it is awesome, my favorite restaurant. DC was different. I would go again, but the service was slow and unorganized. In Atlanta they rotate the meat regularly so you get to try everything, in DC they did not. We had to ask for my favorites at the end because they were never offered, I.e. The lamb. The bar and hostess staff were very young and more interested in standing at the front talking to each other instead of focusing on the patrons. The food is great though if it's worth it to you to pay this price for mediocre service.
I come to Fogo de Chao often. For Veteran's Day, they ran an amazing deal for Veterans and their guest, so my boyfriend, his family, and I went to dinner to celebrate my boyfriend's service. The service was impeccable. I was on a cane for an injury, and they had us seated upstairs. Upon seeing me on my cane, they offered me a lift on the elevator. They go out of their way to ensure that everything is perfect for each and every customer. I love this place, the food, AND its staff.
Fogo is a wonderful experience every time I go. The price puts it in the special occasion bracket for me, but it has not disappointed on any of my three visits. The service is excellent, with friendly staff that cater to requests promptly and anticipate your needs. This restaurant has a higher quality salad bar than some other Brazilian steakhouses I have been to though one should be careful not to fill up on its contents before getting a chance to try all of the delicious meats conveyed around the room.
The food was very good and it was served by courteous and friendly staff. However, the front desk service was horrible. The two young ladies were clearly not well-trained in customer service. One of them argued with me repeatedly regarding my preference to have a table in the corner of the room. Also, we waited 20 minutes for our table, even though I'd made a reservation in advance. What's the point of making a reservation if I'll be treated as a walk-in customer? The front desk service is in desperate need of improvement, please make it clear that bad service may repulse some customers and the company would lose potential business.
Food and prices are outstanding!
The service was a little slow when it came to drinks and it was a bit hard to find our waiter but other than that it was great. An accidente happened and someone spilled water on my coat, the manager and server inmediately came to apologize, cleaned my coat and they gave us a complementary dessert.
It was a nice evening!
This was my first experience at a traditional Brazilian Restaurant, It was simply amazing. I would place it among my top three dining experiences. Because the servers bring the meat to the table there is no waiting for the "dinner" to arrive at the table. There was continuous attention at your table not just meat but beverages as well. Our water glasses (table of 7) were never empty and the servers removed and brought fresh plates as you determine sampled the many delicacies brought to the table. The deserts were exceptional as well especially the cherry cheese cake and key lime pie.
