Overall experience was very nice. I took my fiancée there on Valentine’s Day. The service was a bit slow due to it being Valentine’s Day but say still a good experience. The manager was very nice and when I brought up a concern about certain foods not coming to our table he made sure we got what we wanted.
Lovely experience. Really enjoyed the experience. Super attentive staff.
Most of the Meat had a lot of salt. Maybe you should allow the customers to put their own desire salt preferences. Thanks
Funny thing happened, as we were seated, our server/waitress came and began to explain and practicallly every part of her sentence had the phrase “Trust Me.....” which became a little annoying.
Also had a $100 e-gift card for the restaurant, presented it along with the credit card for the balance to be applied. She returned and informed us that there was a problem processing the e-gift because it appears that it was either “EXPIRED” (didn’t know gift cards had expectation date) or it was used before. I said please process it again or at least let me speak with the manager. Manager arrived took the information, we waited for over 10 minutes. Server came handed the information and said “ok thank you for coming” So I asked what was the issue? She replied, it’s ok, and walked away. So I asked another server to bring the manager over to the table for an explanation as to what happened; he came over and I nforms us - “Looks like the e-gift was used somewhere in Texas, but don’t worry it’s all good”; he also walked away. We all looked at each other puzzled as he walks away.....I am still at a loss for words as to what just happened! My puzzling questions are:
How was it determined that the card was used in TX, where in TX, what date. How was it resolved now for you to say “it’s all good”. Still at a loss for words.
awesome 1ST time loved it will be going back !!!!!!!!!!!!
Great service, food and ambiance. Will dine again very soon
It was our anniversary and they brought us a cake and it was so special!
Service was initially amazing but as the evening went on we waited and waited for meat service despite being asked by 2 staff members what meats we wanted. Then it took almost half an hour for the check to come after our server said he was getting it. Still the food was amazing. Expensive and not a place we will go for dinner every week but a nice treat nonetheless.
Staff was wonderful. Food exceptional.
Dinner celebration for my boyfriend’s birthday was great! Service was IMPECCABLE!!! The wait staff was extremely attentive and on point!
Service was great, food delicious and atmosphere inviting.
I went to Fogo de Chão for my birthday with a group of friends. We experienced excellent table service and food. If it’s your birthday you get a free dessert! This place is definitely for when you want to splurge, so be prepared for a hefty dinner bill.
Every six months, I get a new intern, and I use Fogo de Chao as the place we conduct our get-to-know-each-other talk. It never fails to impress the young people, and the quality of the food and the service has stayed absolutely excellent over the years, I have done this. And it's always funny to see people realize that their stomachs cannot hold another bite, but their eyes and nose continue to tell them that they want more. Can't recommend it enough.
We took German visitors who have not eaten at a Brazilian steakhouse before and they loved it!
The salad bar was not very good. I saw a patron use his bare hands to get food from the salad bar.
The meat are good, but a little bit expensive. People there are so friendly. Love this place!
Everyone made our special night, extremely enjoyable. From our waitress, Lisa, all the way to the manger, Charlotte. All of the employees we encountered were terrific!! I was impressed with all of the food, service, and atmosphere. We will definitely be back!
Another value -added at this restaurant is the reasonable valet parking rates. the staff at this restaurant is always in a hustle mode.
As Brazilians and frequent patrons of Fogo, this is the first time that we’ve have a terrible experience. I’m not sure if it was because we were sat in a back room or staff was having an off day, but service was slow and inattentive, the market tables food was subpar, rice was mushy, beans undercooked, only three cuts of meat reached our table and we felt like we were waving down the staff when they were two tables down so they could serve us. Hostess and waiters fooled around as patrons were dining...The restaurant was not crowded, actually somewhat empty for a Saturday, but it was not the usual experience we have here.
Astonishing. Waste of money.
Very drafty and cold as our table caught ever draft that came from when the door was opened. Otherwise we absolutely love this restaurant but would definitely ask for another seating location.
Overall it was great! Not hard to find a parking spot as well
I was in the restaurant with group of friends and enjoyed my meal very much.
If you like Brasilian grill, this is the right place in DC.
If you didn't try it yet, what are you waiting for?
Wonderful as always!
While the food has always been good, we definitely will be considering other dining options after this visit. They stop bringing our particular cut of meat. It was the longest wait 20-30 minutes, we had to flag someone down to see what was going on. Absolutely unacceptable considering how much we pay and how little we do eat but then to stop serving the food is just ridiculous! If this is the trick this restaurant does to get their customer to hit the salad bar instead, well, I guess it worked but I will probably take by business else where.
The experience was awesome, and I found it romantic too
Awesome! Too much food to mention! Love the meat and the salad bar
I had been to Fogo de Chao a long time ago and decided to take my husband for his birthday along with some friends. I was very disappointed. I felt rushed from the moment we sat down. They never brought us the skewer of filet mignon. I had to ask for it and then I got one little piece (maybe 4 bites). After that I still didn’t get any more filet mignon. They never brought it out. The side dish of mashed potatoes was enough for just one or two people. We had to keep asking for potatoes and they would bring one little dish of potatoes for 4 people. We paid $60 each for the whole experience meal and for that I should have gotten more filet mignon. Very disappointed. Done with Fogo de Chao! It was better the first time I visited about 5-6 years ago.
We went there for restaurant week. Definitely worth it for $35. What I didn't like was way we were packed into the restaurant with little room to get around other diners.
This was our first visit, and we enjoyed our visit very much. The service was very good. We did not have to wait for service at all, the staff was very attentive. Will definitely go again.
The food was good and most of the service also went well. We had issues with the bill where we were charged additionally for a dessert that was supposed to come with the meal and we charged for drinks we ordered from the bar, where the server saw us bring them to the table. The manager didn’t even address the issues, instead, the great server assisted us and removed the items off the bill.
Everything was great! My only comment would be after like 30 minutes we had to ask for certain meats because they stopped coming to our table(we ordered the regular $60 dinner so this was kind of a downer). We spent a lot of money and would've liked them to come around more. Service was great though, would recommend for overall experience.
This was my first time at Fogo. The food is absolutely amazing, the waiters rotate around the restaurant so it can be a bit of a surprise as to what you're going to try next. I ate more steak than I thought was possible.
Great food and experience. It’s too loud to make conversation easy to hear.
Amazing as always!
Great food. Use Valet parking. It's worth it.
so far one of the best steakhouse in dc
Went during Restaurant Week, there was some confusion to what was actually included. Meat and rib selection was good, too salty though. Wouldn’t return at the regular price for the experience.
Took some clients to what they said, and we wholeheartedly agree, an excellent spot for lunch or dinner. The main courses and the salad bar is fantastic. If you get a chance, try the ‘Stoli Doli’...amazing!
