Costela / Beef Ribs
These succulent ribs are first rubbed slightly with rock salt, which creates a seasoned crust. The costela is then grilled for several hours to bring forward its natural flavors.
I've dined at this Fogo location many times, but this experience (late July) the customer service was rather sub par. ... I accept that all restaurants are having challenges with staffing right now, but the service levels of an "up market" place must achieve higher expectations.
Not recommended for Brazilian steakhouse experience. Waiters are inexperienced, intrusive, lack a knack for service. Plates, glasses and dishes cleared off unfinished and left us feeling as if we were being rushed out. The waiter serving our wine broke the cork, and he was chewing gum...?!
Food is fatty, oversalted and cheap cuts of meat. Salad bar is filled with cucumber slices and canned veggies - very low quality and highly oversalted.
GM didn't come by once. A floor manager with stains on her shift and ill-fitting clothes (way too small) checked in on us as she was walking past.
They need serious direction and help on elevated the customer experience, and not close to being worth $57/pp.

I love Brazilian steakhouses and have always been very happy with Fogo de Chao's downtown Washington DC location. This was my first visit to the new location in Tysons Corner. The new restaurant is beautifully decorated, open, and airy. The food was very good, as usual. The service was lacking however. The staff were perfectly pleasant but there were not enough of them. At the price charged by Fogo, service ought to be top notch. This was not the case for our visit. It may well be that the company is struggling to find workers so our visit may have been an anomaly. I will also mention that after a time it seemed as though the gauchos carrying the meats decided we had had enough and all but stopped coming by. Again, considering the price charged, I find that totally unacceptable. I will go back again -- no question about it. Hopefully next visit will be up to par.

Like the food but service was not good at all. The meet was raw and asked for medium, but they never came back.

I wouldn’t recommend going here for the salad bar dining experience as it hardly rates paying $30.00 for a salad bar. The feijoada was overly salted and inedible. No seafood or fruits with the exception of pineapple. For someone who enjoys drinking coke, they charge for every serving without first telling you. It’s a very nice dining room but it was extremely noisy. Parking is $5 to the valet which I suppose is reasonable but parking used to be free. The Pao de queso was passable. I wouldn’t return.

The food and service was great.
First time eating at one of these after hearing about it for so long, and came away quite disappointed. The service was glacial except for a brief burst in mid meal - on a night it was maybe 2/3 full- and our server disappeared when we stopped taking additional meat, forcing us to flag down a manager to get our check. The meat itself was inconsistent; some quite flavorful and tender, some very fatty and close to inedible. Even by DC standards it is pricey. You can do far better for the money.

Celebrated spouses birthday on July 9. Overall it was great. Our initial waitress wasn’t good. She didn’t take our drink orders and took awhile to return to our table. Another came by and made everything great! She gave us small plates for our appetizers and ordered a special birthday dessert for the birthday girl. She was great!
While the service was great and the food was good, the value did not match the amount of the bill. I believe I would have seen better value going to a regular steakhouse. Probably won't return for that reason.

Occasion was great but the drinks kept being sent to the wrong table. It was quite annoying and we didn’t receive anything for the mix up and it happened three times. Please get the drinks right!
Might I say Beef ribs? The service was terrible. I have been at this location before so I know its big and busy. So when we ordered I told every server my only 2 requests Beef ribs and medium rare lamb crops. Well after 50 minutes finally the gaucho brings lamb chops which you guessed it were cooked well done. 1 hour to get 2 slices of beef rib. And by2 slices thats it tqo pieces that were inch wide and 1/4 inch thick by maybe 3 in long. So for $59 I got a salad over down lamb chop and the magnanimous 2 slices of beef rib. When I repeatedly asked the staff were rude and said "They take a long time to cook" it was 6pm at night I think they had time to prep for dinner. So with a $15 shot of Crown Royal and our whopping bill of $155 with tip I'd call this an epic failure.

The food was pretty decent and the prices match the food quality and options. Our waitress Sarafina was very courteous, knowledgeable and lovely. I hope we get her next time. The caipirinha was very delicious!

Chicken was as dry as sand and none of the meats were juicy or tasty. Sad about that as I heard good things. Nowhere near the same amount of food as Texas de Brazil. Not even close and people flocked into this place like it was food Mecca. Good thing I had good company because I drove all the way from Richmond There won’t be a second chance

My wife and I were celebrating our 20th Wedding Anniversary, and we wanted to experience great food and service. We weren’t disappointed. This was my first time going to this restaurant, and it won’t be my last. The food seemed to be ongoing forever and it was all SO delicious. Cannot wait to go back!
I’ll start with the one thing I believe needs improvement, we sat outside by choice, only a table of 2, and asked for lamb. We were offered several meats when we flipped our cards but it took almost our entire night sitting and telling 3 ppl that we wanted lamb, one lady waiter finally contacted the manager and all to ensure we got our lamb, the one meat we requested. The lamb was delicious when it came. We tried a couple of the meats and they were all pretty good, just wish the one we requested came faster. Nice ambience and staff, overall nice place. Only place with a open reservation on fathers day, too, which was great.
Way better location than downtown DC, food quality and customer service top notch.

On this day, for many people this was a joyful occasion. Father’s Day. The food was excellent. But for 4 people and a $300 dollars later, I wanted the experience they couldn’t deliver. I barely had any meat because they didn’t come around a lot. So I felt I had to eat a big plate of the buffet. The staff was nice.
Great food; I loved it and so did my family
The food was a bit pricey. I would have like if the Waitress sang Happy Bday or acknowledged that there was a birthday at the table since I did put that as a special occasion when I made reservations. I only saw our waitress twice and had several other patient waiters and waitresses so I hope the tip was spread to everyone and not just our original waitress.

Early Father’s Day. Son had a chance to eat lots of different meats for first time. It’s expensive but for an occasion, it’s worth it.
Was a disappointing visit. Started out waiting twenty minutes for my glass of wine while those around me who ordered full bottles were served. Then it seemed when folks did notice our table-- the offerings were all well done (my son and I prefer medium rare). Servers would all say they'd be back... but never were. I was asked what we might specifically like-- provided the info but no one came back. Not what I'd remembered pre-pandemic....

The food is very good there, but they can work a little bit better on their service. I feel like toward the end, our servers forgot about us and didn’t check in anymore. Other than that, we had fun celebrating my birthday.
