Absolutely love this place! We’ll be back really soon!
We celebrated my daughter's first communion with family here. Our waiter was very good. Manager visited our table several times to check on us as well. Our waiter made good recommendations on what to try food and beverages. Staff was very attentive. Food was excellent.
The concept is executed pretty well, but it's a pretty cheesy, chainy concept. It's basically a very expensive all-you-can-eat buffet with a decent salad bar and good meats. Aside from the price, it's nothing like fine dining.
I'm not sorry I went, as I've always been curious about it, but I can't imagine returning. I took my daughter there for her 16th birthday, as well as her boyfriend and her younger sister. They all reached the same conclusion.
It struck me as the sort of gimmicky thing stupid, fat Americans would easily be conned into thinking was alluring simply because it's expensive. I'm amazed and appalled the chain has been so successful, but God knows there's no shortage of fat, stupid Americans.
We had a fantastic time. Service was attentive without being overbearing.
It was perfect!! AMAZING service!!
Good solid food. Friendly staff, some unique cocktails, and really good food.
Food was not worth the money. Staff where nice but just not what we remember of the Westheimer location about 10 years ago. Nothing was great not bad but not a great time four our anniversary
We went to Fogo for Easter brunch and to celebrate my mom's 96th birthday. While the food and service were excellent, we were disappointed that they charged us for my mom's dessert. I didn't want to make a big deal in front of her, but the website says that they offer a complimentary dessert for birthdays, so we were surprised. We mentioned several times that we were celebrating her birthday and the waitress even wrote a Happy Birthday on the check. Just an FYI if you go to celebrate a birthday.
I was not familiar with the process and told the first waitress this. She tried to explain the dining experience but didn’t speak clear English or at an understandable volume. Subsequent waiters seemed annoyed that I didn’t have a tong. That I didn’t understand what they wanted me to do with it. Or that I didn’t understand the type of meats that they offered. They were rushed. And I felt that I was being pressured to finish early.
Excellent as always!
The service was exceptional, from the hostess, the gauchos and the servers, they were all very attentive and on point.
The Market Table was good as always but I prefer the winter and holiday offerings better. Did not care for asparagus pea soup. Beans were also very bland. No seasoning.
Normally everything would be a good experience. But on our last visit the bathrooms we're dirty, there were no lamb chops, bone in ribeyes and the meats seem to come slower. We also usually ask the servers for a large steak or rib bone to take home for our dog. A bone that is normally trashed. This time the management said no. But that's all right. The servers were attentive and friendly as usual.
Fell very short compared other locations. Service was great. All of the meats fell very short of "good". Might give it another try to be fair.
We love Fogo de Chao and highly recommend it. The only thing you have to worry about is eating too much because everything is so good.
Worst service I have ever had at an restaurant of this quality. After we were seated and served our drinks, I was not waited on again until I waved down the manager, which was some 20-25 minutes later. After I expressed my unhappiness he assured me that he would get things in order. He left without asking what we needed! I hailed another staff member to fill out drinks another 5 minutes later. Manager never bothered to check with me again and made ZERO adjustments to the bill!!! Unbelievably disrespectful and a poor showing of his managerial capabilities. I would never return unless it was corrected.
Good service and great food
They would not bring the meats I wanted, they brought the good stuff (filet) one time and then it was just chicken the toughest lamb meat and an ok sirloin. I asked them for 15 minutes to bring me the (filet) and it never showed up. We were celebrating our 11 year anniversary and that place was a let down. I mentioned the aggravation to the staff with kindness and it fell on def ears. This was the second time to visit this place on our anniversary, the first time was perfect, this might have just been an off night for them, but for almost $60 a person it was not money well spent.
All the staff was very helpful and attentive to our needs. This was our first time to dine here. My husband and I was celebrating our 12 year anniversary.
Food was good but service was poor. Very slow and inattentive.
Food was good but too noisy for date night.
The restaurant doesn’t seems high end us price is too much.
Went with another couple for business/casual dinner. We’ve been here many times and service was always superb. Food is always on point.
However, this specific instance I had 2 issues:
1) the filet mignon (my husbands favorite) was subpar. This is supposed to be the most high demand and theirs was a disappointment.
2) waiter came around with large shrimp FOR SALE!! It made everyone uncomfortable. We paid a large price for the meal already and they want to pull more money out of us? They should really stop this. I’ve never heard of this before, something extra outside of the meats.
It may be a while before I come back. That tray of shrimp for sale was very awkward, un comfortable and just get weird.
Went at 430 on a Sunday after the brunch crowd and before the dinner rush. Not a lot of meats circulating and the cheese rolls were old. Picked a bad time to go on my birthday
It was our anniversary my wife have made it a tradition to celebrate it at Fogo every year. We have dined at other Fogo in other cities like San Antonio, Austin, Dallas and our usual place Houston Westheimer. We were kinda disappointed our table was in a spot where a lot of traffic was coming thru and I kept getting bumped. I saw it was busy and it took a good minute for the servers to come around. The bar seemed the selection was less than what we expected at the others we have been at. Our favorite is the chicken with bacon and they were out. We live in Kingwood and the woodlands seemed like a better place to go to be closer to home.
Service is awesome. Buffet is great, meat was salty.
Waited over 25min despite my OpenTable reservation and arriving 5min earlier. Obviously overbooked, too busy, too noisy. Definitely NOT a romantic don’t relaxing dining experience
We had to ask 6 times for tenderloin and lamb. We asked for medium rare and they kept bringing meat cooked close to well done. Our waitress was very inattentive. The experience was disappointing especially since we were with another couple who were dining at Fogo for the first time. Based on our experience as well as quality, service and value, we will not be returning anytime in the near future.
Fantastic! Food and service is top notch!
Love the food and service. Don’t like the fact I must leave a minimum of 50 words for this review.
Valentine’s Day was the best at Fogo de Chão
They over seated all the sections so it was difficult to get from our table to the salad bar without running into someone. The servers often forgot our requested items (I had to give the couple at the table next to us our mashed potatoes because their requested potatoes never came), I had to ask for a spoon 3 different times. The biggest issue was the lack of meat servers coming to our area. Our table and the 3 tables next to us were often over looked, and we would have to ask for specifics meats because otherwise we would have never got them. My husband sat with an empty plate most of the time because one server would come and the next wouldn’t be by for another 10 minutes. And when they did come to us they only ever had well done meat, they always had to go back for medium which made the wait even longer. I’ve had better service at chili’s at a much cheaper (but mediocre food) price and closer to home. Usually the service is great but this time I think they over extended themselves and in turn sacrificed the quality of service.
Went here for Valentine’s Day. They crammed way too many tables together, understaffed, had to wait almost an hour for meat to come by the table. Terrible service, saw our server twice. The entire dinner. By the time the meat would arrive, the sides were cold.
First time there and food was delicious and had a great Valentine's day there.
I have frequented the fogo on westheimer and the food and service seem superior to the one in the Woodlands. My husband and I have been a few times in the woodlands and decided this last time that we will not go back. We were there for valentine's day and the service was lacking, we had to ask for extra seasoning on the meat for it to even be enjoyable. You would think with a special day they would have extra staff. I felt everyone looked as if they were running around like a chicken with their head cut-off. We ordered tea, got water, had to ask a different server for tea and had to continuously ask for refills. For the price you pay here, the service at least should be consistently superior, the food as well. HUGE LET DOWN, especially for Valentine's Day....come on FOGO, get it together!
Food and service was great. Will be back. Salad bar was pretty cool and the meats were cooked to perfection.
We usually leave Fogo great reviews, but this time will probably be our last. The host seated us and took out drink order for our server. We got up to walk to the salad bar and came back to find our table taken.. we were then reseated and told “Just find a seat over there.” Which I don’t think is very appropriate considering how expensive the food is. Servers didn’t check on us once. Food was great through, I just think the service lacked professionalism and based on the price, I just wasn’t impressed.
We are always amazed at the level of impressive service and accommodation Fogo @ The Woodlands provides.
The staff are really on top of their game. Wonderful, restrained and professional service. Of course the food was delicious and perfectly presented.
Food and ambiance not worth the price. Flare not fancy enough for price. I would rather pay for Melting Pot or hibachi.
