Wife and I date nite
We felt like the service was not as it usually is. Anytime we’ve been to Fogo with our five children, the servers are quick to bring cheese rolls and the side dishes, but that was not the case this time. Nothing was brought to our table for at least 10 minutes, maybe 15.
almost immediately after that, someone came by with beef ribs which we love and we know don’t come out of the back too often or stay for too long. But then that was it.. We don’t eat pork (and there seem to be an unusually large amount of pork offered today), so after several more minutes passes, someone finally came around and asked if there was anything we were looking for since our plates had no more meat and our green circles were up. The next server brought what we had asked for promptly so we were grateful for that!
My second honey and smoke drink was poorly made, but the bartenders were quick to fix that! The third one was perfect.
A few items on the salad bar were noticeably overcooked/burnt tasting (artichokes, cauliflower, zucchini), and the cheese rolls were not soft when hot, way over baked. We know this because we eat at Fogo often enough. 😅
This doesn’t change whether we will come back or not! Of course we will come back! But we may be quicker to go to the downtown location instead of the Woodlands location since we’ve never experienced this many problems downtown before.
It's disappointing to hear that we fell short of your expectations, as we always want to meet the needs of our guests. Please visit us in the future, as we are sure to deliver top-notch service.
Our waiter was horrible. We had to request items repeatedly and finally received them from a totally different server. Roderick was one of the carving servers and he was the most helpful. The manager and assistant manager did provide us with a satisfactory response to our complaints. We are returning guests so we are aware that the service is not usually like the service we received that day.
We take pride in delivering wonderful experiences, Stephen, so we apologize for falling short. We hope you stop by in the future!
Of the three Brazilian steakhouses that I’ve been to, Fogo was the most disappointing. I thought there was small meat selection compared to other places I’ve been. Also, rare or medium rare seemed to be the only option as well. The restaurant opened at 5, however it did not seem like things were prepared for the opening. We were celebrating my birthday and an anniversary and we were given a complimentary dessert, which was nice. The service and servers were great.
We are concerned to read your remarks, as we pride ourselves on our variety of selections. Thank you for taking the time to share details of your visit, and we hope to serve you again.
Great place for a mid week lunch and the food is always wonderful.
Servers didn't bring around a large variety of meats. There were mostly 4 meats available and had to ask several times for other options to be brought. 1 server wasn't aware that certain cuts were available until another server comfirmed for him.
We pride ourselves in our variety of cuts, so it is disappointing to hear that your server didn't offer them all to you. Your satisfaction is of the utmost importance, so we hope to earn your 5-stars in the future.
Went for my sister’s birthday. Everything was great! Market table has a wide variety of choices for fresh veggies, fruits, and salads, plus cheeses, salmon, and salami. My sister tried the omelet station and was happy with her choice. Need to pace yourself for the meat as you can easily fill up eating from the Market Table and the delicious cheese bread. Recommend it to our friends and we’re always happy to come back!
It was amazing felt like a movie.
Think of is as a great meat based (not a place for Vegans) tasting menu /“flight” of different meat preparations and cuts. When you consider eh Fogo experience as compared to similar menu items at a high end steakhouse, the price is actually quite nominal.
Everything was great!
Fantastic service. Used their birthday coupon. Also received a complimentary dessert for my special day.
It was my second time there and my boyfriends first time there. He was in heaven tasting all these different meats. He already wants to come back. It’s amazing experience if you haven’t already experienced it before. If you haven’t, you need to because you’re missing out.
We went to celebrate my 40th birthday. Servers were excellent, very attentive.
Very delicious, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. My husband and I enjoyed eating her for our anniversary
A restaurant that is all class. The quality of the food is only superseded by the service of the many waiters. I nice relaxing evening perfect for the wife or a date. If anything was negative, I think there was a bump in the price. But all in all, just a fantastic place to dine.
No un mal servicio y cobraron. $60 por plató y ni carné como mimos nos pusieron en una mesa donde no llegaban a ofrecer la carne y las bebidas nunca las llevaron
Bad bad service. Meat was bloody majority of times.
Drinks was served after eating time.
I simple giftcard don’t cut it.
I definitely go back to TEXAS DEL BRAZIL. this place got getto 100%
The food was very good but having to wait for a one slice of meat every 5-10 minutes it seemed like we were they for an excessive amount of time as well as having to wait 30 extra minutes past our reserved time. Overall was just not the best and I payed way to much for a dinner I didn’t enjoy very much
We were given a 45 minute wait when arriving at our reservation time. The service was poor and the meat offerings very sporadic. We had to ask for the better cuts of meat and still had to ask a second time for them to arrive at the table. Overall the value for the money was not worth it and I would recommend an upscale steak house to the experience there.
The line to check in at the host stand was 15 minutes long. When talking to the host, was informed a 7:45 reservation had a 1 hour wait. When we told them this kind of defeated the purpose of a reservation, they told us everyone else was waiting patiently and were promptly ignored.
Would not go back until they stop such egregious overbooking.
While I think Fogo de Chao is generally a nice dining experience. This particular visit left a lot to be desired. It was our 10th anniversary, which, unfortunately falls on the very busy Valentines day weekend. Our table was crammed right next to someone else so we were unwittingly a part of their conversations, my wife sat without having her tea refilled for nearly the entire meal until it was time to leave, despite making a reservation we still had to wait a long time to be seated, the noise level was as loud as a very busy school cafeteria and the servers mostly ignored us. The food was only okay this time around, some of the meat was overcooked and dried out. We recognize not all of this was the restaurant's fault since it was a particularly busy night. A romantic evening with my Valentine on a major milestone anniversary it was not. But, again, this wasn't our first visit and it will not be our last. We will visit again on a less exciting day next time.
The restaurant was too busy. They were 30 minutes late on our reservations. Service was horrible. We only saw our server twice and one of those was to pay. I had to flag down the gauchos in order to get any of the meat selections. I believe they added extra tables in the restaurant because they were ridiculously close to one another. We will never go back.
We had reservations and had to wait over 20 minutes in a very crowded front entrance along with everyone else who also made reservations. When asked what the importance of the reservation was since we still had to wait the manager informed us that all it does is guarantee a table, maybe not at that particular time but that we would get one. It seemed very odd. We definitely will not be making a reservation here again since it really doesn’t mean much anyways.
The thing is...going on Valentines Day Weekend you would THINK they would be prepared. I avoid this location most the time, but we planned to meet another couple who didn't show. SO they had moved all the tables into these rows for couples. So close together we could barely speak to each other. We listened to conversations on both sides of us. Our waitress tried. I mean she gave it her all. She moved FAST, she did her best but she was taking care of like I don't know...an area of 12-14 tables? My favorite thing about the salad bar is the bacon. They didn't bring any out for the hour and 45 min we were there. I visited this location last Sept on my birthday and it was amazing. Just NOT ON VALENTINES DAY, they just moved everyone through like herding cattle, and the "fine dining" experience was totally lost! I was sad, but our waitress was so pleasant and she worked so hard, she went to the back and got me the bacon I came for! We gave her an extra $20. She deserved it!
A reservation was made, yet we were sat outside. The meats barely made it back there.
Awesome dining experience!!!
Birthday surprise for sibling
Just terrible. So bad that we timed it - nobody approached our table for 12 minutes. Cards were green side up. Lost our server, so we spoke with the hostess, who flagged down two gauchos. That was it until the dinner crowd came in. Clearly saw other tables that were upset over the same situation.
Husband and I are very surprised and disappointed with this experience at Fogo.
Feels weird when all the waiters and waitreses are so nice and attentive. The price is a bit in the high end, but it was to be expected, also worth it.
I made reservations for mom mom's bday and it was not the best experience. Upon arriving we sat before 2p and apparently after 2p[, you are charged the dinner price and it is not listed anywhere on the site. I didn't find this out until I received the check but the waiter rectified the situation and adjusted the price to lunch prices.
With that being said, we had a horrible experience overall. We were there for a total of 2 hours and initially the waiter was nice and great but then he got pulled away to 10 different directions. We didn't see him again after the hour. We were being waited on by other waiters and it would be a good 10 min in between being waited on for refills, more meat coming around or anything else we needed. I have been to Fogo De Chao on multiple visits but this was my first time in the Woodlands and I have no desire to ever come back. When our waiter first came to our table, all we got was the little breads and no plantains or mashed potatoes. Another waiter had to offer us those 2 things and I thought those weren't given during lunch and that's why I didn't' ask. I am very disappointed in the service that was given and will not recommend anyone here.
Valentine’s Day !! Was great
There was some delay due to the Valentines crowd but otherwise the service and food were excellent. A manager visited our table twice to make sure we were happy and the food was fresh and delicious.
I would recommend, but NOT on Valentine’s Day. There were too many people, not enough staff and the salad bar was lacking. There were chunks of food spilled in the floor, the salad bar plates were not clean and my husband had to keep flagging down a water to ask for the side dishes and drink refills. We have been several times before and it was great - this was a sad experience.
We had a Valentine's Day reservation but were seated 30 minutes later because "everyone waiting here has a reservation." We had to eat quickly but when they slow walk occasional bits of food to your table, that's not how it works. But our parents night out event would be ending so we had to eat what we could to go pick up our kids. So the 2 1/2 hour night out left us with 45 minutes to eat at a restaurant designed for a slow, enjoyable meal. With no drinks, it cost $120 before a tip. Very little meat came to our table at all and if you prefer not rare, forget it. I had 2 little chicken legs and 3 other small pieces of meat. Told my husband I'd have been fuller at a wing restaurant. We don't eat starches but had a few salad bites. The restaurant was overcrowded to jam every person in for their dollar to the point I could not reasonably get in and out of my table. Then to add to the ambience, they left a door open for forced outdoor seating so I ate with my coat on. Yes, it was a rare cold night in The Woodlands and I ate with a coat on. Not one manager or waiter seemed to care. We left cold & hungry.
Great food great service fill like home 👍
It was extremely salty very
And they toke a lot of time to bring the good meat
The food is absolutely wonderful. I love the parmesan crusted pork, it's the best. The servers are attentive. Very nice place.
This was our first time to visit a Fogo De Chao and I expected something different from all the hype we heard from others. We are not from the city so we bbq, grill and sear a lot of meat for different occasions. The meats were mediocre to me, my husband enjoyed them more. I must say, the mashed potatoes and cheese muffins were delicious. The atmosphere was nice. The staff was good although we had to have someone else serve us our sides because we could not find our waiter and we had already had almost all the meats served to us. Since we had not been there before we finally stopped a staff member walking by to ask if we get up to get our sides or what and they sincerely apologized and went to get it immediately for us. Overall, okay.
Initially the meats were coming non stop. After a few minutes we had to ask our server for a specific meat for them to bring out. My kids are slow eaters and that was annoying. Took a while to get our checks, just slow service in general.
