Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse - Scottsdale Ratings and Reviews
The service and our overall experience were great, especially for someone like myself who appreciates an opportunity to try many flavors of meats. We were seated quickly and greeted immediately by our server who went over the process and the recommended drinks. The team service takes a little getting used to because of the constant attention, but we were never without drinks, clean plates and new food to try. The market table has a lot of great food to offer, and the butternut squash soup was the best part. The meats were all flavorful - the house special sirloin was our favorite. Desserts were also very good - creme brûlée and the papaya cream. We had one minor issue with our bill at the end but this was very professionally addressed and taken care of by Norma, who took the time to thoughtfully explain the situation and resolved the problem without issue. Overall a great night out and a fantastic meal!
A close friend suggested we try Fogo's about 5 years ago. We've been going there for our anniversary and Valentine's day ever since! We've never been disappointed. The food is awesome, the service is top notch and the ambiance is lovely. Hands down, Fogo de Chao is our favorite restaurant!!!
We loved being there again. We came for my birthday two weeks ago and had to come back for my fiancé’s tonight. I love the house special picaño, all of the meat tastes so delicious and melts in your mouth. The appetizers are out of this world. Definitely going to be back again soon!
Got seated in the back room and knew it would be trouble. Chefs come into the room after they have cruised the main dining room, so they have very little meat left. Our waiter noticed our frustration before we complained and made a point of bringing full skewers directly to us. After that, it was a wonderful night
Attentive, polite, friendly staff. Amazing selection of quality food. The salad bar is clean and always well stocked. The staff are knowledgeable of dietary restrictions and great with kids. The variety of food and the staff bringing round the meat entertain our boys which helps us to enjoy the experience. It was my husband’s birthday and he got a free dessert to celebrate! Can’t recommend enough it is our favorite restaurant in the US!
Good service and an incredible selection of meat! The restaurant can be a bit noisy with all the servers rushing by, but then, there is always someone nearby to get whatever you need. There is also a very nice salad bar, and a fish option if you don't want beef, pork, or chicken.
This was the second time we have gone there and specifically wrote on the reservation that it was a special 16tb bday. Again we had to say something at end and very anticlimactic. Servers were great it seems a management issue. Dropping $500 on one diner and something as simple is that isn’t cool. Disappointed.
It seems like a struggle to get different types of meat. I have been going to this restaurant since they open, however lately I noticed that you don’t get all the type of meat they used to offer and you have to ask them for it like the ribs or the ribeye then you wait forever for them to bring it out. It is kind of a husle to have to wait 30 or 20 min for then to finally bring it to your table. This has happened the las 4 times I have been there
Felt restaurant was a bit overpriced for the selection/variety. Also expect for the price exceptional service possible restaurant was short staffed busy. Have visited Texas de Brazil expected a similar experience at Fogo de Cho sadly my experience was very different. Texas de Brazil had a larger salad bar, ambiance was quiet romantic relaxing, and the wait staff spoiled you with excellent service.
We’ve been here several times and always enjoyed it. Unfortunately this time things were “off.” The salad bar wasn’t fully stocked. I waited well into the meal for my glass of water (and well after my companions received their beverages). We had to ask several times for beef ribs and ribeye. When the beef ribs finally arrived they were so dry the server couldn’t slice them tableside and had to return to the kitchen. I could go on and on about the missed opportunities that night. Honestly at that price point it should be better.
Very hard to speak to old friends because the 4 Waiters serving the different meats were always interupting our table of 4’s conversation. This became extremly annoying. I also didnt care for having to go to the Smorga Bob’s salad bar, I’d much rather be served my whole meal sitting at my table.
We requested drink refills many times and the drinks never arrived without asking over & over. It’s possibly the waiters did not understand English very well. Even a mgr. Forgot to get my coffee when i brought it to her attention that i was having problems getting a drink.
I eat out at nice restaurants often and IMO there are many better restarants all over Scottsdale. If your looking to enjor the company your sharing dinner with this place is not for you because a sentence is hard to finish between the meat guys.
We are regulars at Fogo de Chao’s Addison, TX (Dallas) location and have visited numerous other locations in the chain. Unfortunately, our visit to the Scottsdale location was atypical. In general, the salad bar, while fresh, lacked the variety and presentation of other locations. The meat items were initially presented more done than we prefer. The filet mignon skewer presented was burnt; but, they were serving it anyway. Fortunately, the next filet skewer was better. A couple of other meat skewers were very tough. Service was ok; but, not the level were used to at other locations.
I made the reservation for an office New Year party and baby shower for one of my staff. I asked to be placed in a quiet corner so we could have privacy and talk. The hostess wanted to sit us in front of the entrance. I explained my request and we were allow to sit in a back section.
The service was possibly the worse service I have ever had in a restaurant. No explanation of how to order, what to expect etc and with no menus. We had never been here before and no one really explained anything other than go get salad and servers will bring meat. We did not find out till everyone was done that there were sauces, sides and other meat options. I asked for lamb chops after no one came by with this option, then had to wait 20 minutes. No one even asked for a drink order. Mashed potatoes were served at beginning of meal and then replenished again when we were all done - freezing cold potatoes are gross. The cuts of meat are cheap, do not expect steak house quality. Expect buffet type meat - poor quality. Even the thinly shaved beef was tough and fatty. No wonder the meat is served so thin, a thick piece would be hard to chew.
We had 11 people in our party and all said this was a horrible restaurant and none of us would ever go back.
