Great food and great service!
Great service. Reinaldo, Diego & Marcos are the best!.
Went for lunch. Service wasn’t good. Then overcharged us by $25. Waiter made all kinds of excuses none which made sense. Will wait for my CC to see if he really corrected it.
Great place I will be returning greet value for the price and you won’t leave hungry
The food was great, as usual, but it seemed we had to flag down the servers initially to get their attention. After that, everything went on as expected. The price is a bit high, but was expected based on the location.
Would recommend for the experience only.. My friends and I have been here quite a few times however, the meat during my last visit was extremely gamey.. It was very disappointing considering it was Mothers Day and my brother’s first visit as he lives out of the area. For a bill that was nearly $300, my family and I ate mostly salad and side items because the meat flavors were disappointing.. The only thing we enjoyed was the chicken breast. The service was excellent despite the employees having been there since morning.. Our reservation was late in the evening.. most looked exhausted but all were extremely attentive and friendly.
Always one of our top choices for special occasions! Food and service is always amazing! I highly reccomend Fogo de Chao for special occasions!
Perhaps for lunch, the front desk area gets too crowded and the noise is off the charts for dinner.
The servers tend to ignore the red/green card we placed on our table, which was weird - what’s the point of that system if they ignore it?
Excellent Service, upscale ambiance, great food. Responsive to our requests and all positive. On Mother’s Day, very busy but felt like we were the only once’s there.
5 Star service!! Amazing food, beautiful restaurant 😍
It was very crowded, which is a good sign. We had to wait a brief period for our table but once there the service was great. The food experience is novel: you start out visiting the salad bar, which is extensive and rich with choices. Then, once you turn over your chit showing you're ready for meat, the servers circulating with their choice stop at your table to give you pieces if you want them. The filet was the best I've ever had, absolutely melt in your mouth. And the chicken hearts are delicious! Also, the wine pours are generous. We'll definitely go back!
Reinaldo, Diego and Marcos are awesome!
Food is good not great. They need to offer sauces to compliment the meat as the meat was very dry. Overpriced in my opinion
May family of 4 with 2 teens enjoyed our visit on a Sunday for lunch. The service was good, wait staff came often to our table. The meat selection was ok, lamb being the best. The cooked food selection and salad bar were pretty limited. The fresh fruits were fantastic - papaya and pineapple were ripe and sweet. We would come back.
Awesome food in a comfortable environment. I will definitely come back again.
Great service from beginning to end! I had a long list of dietary restrictions and the server made sure needs were met. Salmon was great! Thank you!
Great place to go for lunch, or dinner, and or special occasion
This is my favorite brunch restaurant in Santana Row. I always come here to celebrate birthdays and anniversary. The meat they serve is quality meat and very tender.
Again, AMAZING! This was our 2nd time dining here in a month. It was so great to walk in and see our server from the time before ,Nasia, greet us. That made my night. Camilla was our server this time and she was spectacular as well. Two time, both phenomenal service staff! You can't beat the value and the quality of the food. My favorite still is the bone-in rib eye as well as the filet. The warm cheesy pop-overs are to die for and are never ending, so that's a plus! We will be back for my son's graduation with a whole group. This is our go to for a great meal!
Salad bar was not even close to other Brazilian steakhouses, like Salt Lake City. Service was poor, bearly saw the waiter. Tried to force shrimp cocktail and shots as ala cart extras. Definitely not worth the money.
I have a good experience but I waited to be seated even though we had a reservation.
Staff is always amazing, the food was great!
The staff here was wonderful and made me feel like I was family. The CSR Kamila was super friendly and was always conversation ready. The meat was super yummy! It was given to my mom and I by Owen and Richard. Our servers were Saul and Rafa who were super friendly. The coconut cream and chocolate molten stole the show for me though! Would absolutely come back again!
Took my Dad out for his 70th Birthday . Awesome place ! Outstanding restaurant! Thank you ♥️♥️♥️
Very attentive and good service
The wait staff were confused because there are so many of them trying to create an “experience “ for you that they get their wires crossed.
Buffet table is sub par for sure.
The food was perfect. The salad bar is beyond compare, and the meats are delicious.
Guest manager Kamila stopped by the table to chat and she was delightful.
The server was passing free cocktails to try-a Brazilian drink somewhat like a Mimosa. I accidentally knocked mine over. They asked if they could bring me a new one, did so, and then charged me $18 for it. (I received the tiny trial size, half full, the second time)
I had earned a $50 open table credit, Made my reservation through that link, and printed out the $50 gift card, so that I would not have to hand over my phone at the end of the meal. The server who showed up when he returned with my card gave me a look as if I was a cheating lowlife who had tried to pull one over on the restaurant, telling me that the card was empty. Well, if it had been, it wasn’t my fault, since I had received it morning via email through the proper channels. Turns out after he disappeared for about 10 minutes and came back that the cashier didn’t know how to use one of the OpenTable gift cards, and she charged for the entire amount to the card, which of course could not be supported because The charge was more than $50. It finally got straightened out, but with no apology from the server that he had embarrassed me in front of others.
I will go back, but these memories will last
Presently surprised! This was a retirement gift, so not having to pay for this dinner was a plus since it is a little expensive. We had the full experience and tried everything that went by, but we started with a marvelous salad. We tried Peppadew peppers, sweet with brine, all kinds of olives, different sausages with the salad mix. Favorite meats were the sirloin, small ribs with lime juice, and the tenderloin topped with the Peppadew peppers, tasting combo. No room for dessert, but we shared a key lime pie anyway, just couldn’t resist. Favorite beer for the night was Sol Americano! We will go back as the night was fun, food was wonderful, the wait staff was attentive and very friendly.
The food is always amazing and the service friendly and attentive. The pork ribs and lamb ribs are tasty and always served hot.
I have been to Fogo de Chao locations in New York, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Scottsdale, Boston and Baltimore combined about 50 times over the years. The experience in San Jose was by far THE WORST I have ever experienced. My first dirty martini was just ok, but it was not bad enough to send back. My second drink was made incorrectly twice and I finally passed on it. The food service was HORRIBLY slow and it was the first time in any churrascaria that no meat was served in the dining room for about 10 minutes right in the middle of service. When someone came over and asked me what I would like next, another 20 minutes passed and the lamb I requested never made it out of the kitchen. I don't mind paying pretty much any price for a great meal, but I felt incredibly ripped-off when I got the bill for this less than mediocre meal. I probably won't take the chance to go back to any of their locations.
Disappointing service. The server didn't pay any attention to our table, our soft drinks were empty most of the time and not refilled timely, and we had to ask for a few items twice before they would bring anything out. Cesar salad tasted like vinegar.
I am a frequent visitor here. However they keep sending “not good” food to you instead of the decent ones, even you requested. Very unpleasant experience with Fogo.
The worst. Had one decent cut of meat, everything else was overcooked & well-done.
Good food and awesome services!!
Mentioned that it was for a birthday, we didn’t receive any acknowledgment for that. The server was pretty busy
Food is always amazing, and service is usually a lot better than it was this time. They made me wait over 20 minutes even though I had a reservation, and sat all the walk ins before us. At first I thought it was because we had a party of 8, but a party of 12 that came after us, and weren’t even all there was seated before us. Refills were also very slow, and I had to ask our server most of the time I needed a refill. Kind of disappointed this is was one of my favorite restaurants in San Jose. However for the price, and the tip ($60, and we split the check so that was only what we tipped) I expect the best service.
Market place salad bar was excellent but meat average. It was so busy in the restaurant that service was very slow to the point of almost being completely ignored.
It was crazy busy. After waiting 30 minutes past our reservation time we were seated. Unlike previous visits almost no one came by. They brought our bottle of wine with one glass. It took another 10 minutes to get a second glass. There were large parties but we finally had to start asking for them to bring meat by despite our cards bring green. Many times they literally walked by us to another table in another section of the room. Usually you have to flip your card to red to stop so much coming by. We didn’t flip it once the entire time we were there but the green cards didn’t help. This has always been a favorite place to celebrate events in our family but I may need to rethink. Very disappointing after spending nearly $400.
