The restaurant is nice, welcoming and well maintained. The staff is knowledgeable, professional and friendly.
Given that this is mostly an all you can eat steakhouse, my scoring on the food is focusing on the meat. Most of the meat is over cooked. We should be able to order rare to well and everything in between. The chicken whether rapped in bacon or not was rather dry. A little bit of a let down for a steakhouse. This is being said the meat is flavorful and generally tender.
We picked Malbec Catena Vista Flores with our meal which I highly recommend. It is a fantastic wine for the price!
Provide more filet mignon and it would be perfect
Food and service was good. I felt a little overwhelmed at first. They kept bringing one meat after the next so quickly I didn’t get a chance to enjoy between each serving.
A lot of the food was overcooked. When I usually go there everything comes out medium rare. This time everything was like medium well. The service was really good.
Fantastic meat and worth the price for adults...but unfortunately no kids menu so not worth bringing picky kids
The food is really good, if you’re hungry this is the perfect place to go. There are different options (the whole experience, just the salad bar or even a good salmon fillet) the place is nice and the service is wonderful. Every time I eat here I get satisfied
It was a Birthday celebration. Our first experience at Fogo de Chao .... The restaurant was slammed however, being a Thursday evening, somewhat expected. The concept, a fun one and, our idea was "surf and turf" .... a little meat, a little seafood. As a special treat (a $99 special treat), we ordered the Chilled Seafood Tower. Wrong decision!!! We had almost finished eating all the meats when the seafood tower finally arrived. What a bitter disappointment!. Frozen seafood!!! (not quite thawed properly -- an obvious reason as to why it took so long from ordering it to hitting our table) AND, freezer burned crab claws and lobster tails! Clearly, it was something that the kitchen doesn't serve often, shown by the lack of fresh seafood on the plates and incorrect utensils to eat the seafood with. If that is the case, why offer it? Take it off the menu! Whilst the staff were very nice, definitely not worth the price and, a restaurant I wouldn't ever recommend.
The salad bar alone was terrific! Delicious and great value.
big disappointment, no bacon, warm buns came after our meal , had to find someone to replenish salad bar, our 4 green cards were turned up and the guys just walked right by us, linguica was told was the pork sausage, this is not linguica, 3 of the desserts we chose were not available
Fogo de chao is not what it used to be
It was terrible. Manager was very rude. They were very understaffed and hence we had to keep waiting long periods of time for food.
We had to wait for 20 min for our table despite having a reservation, because they did not have enough servers. I was expecting some kind of free drinks or at least an apology
We as a large group, had an amazing time. The only thing is the price of the food. We were shocked at first, but then realized it was worth it!
The meal was fantastic. The servers were very polite, but because it was so busy it took a while for the check and drinks to arrive. My date and I had to ask two or three times before either showed up. I would recommend this restaurant to dates or larger parties looking to have a quality night. :) Expensive but worth it.
Came on NYE so trying not to be too harsh, but the food wasn't great compared to the Fogo de Chão in DC. The service was very slow; again, it was NYE but it was 10 and 15 minute gaps between the guys that brought meat and I only saw our waiter twice in two hours. We wound up having to flag people down for water refills, and even that didn't work sometimes. I would probably go somewhere else if it's likely to be very busy.
Food was great as always but they clearly didn’t have enough people working on New Years Eve. Our side dishes didn’t come until the very end and took forever to get a drink. Also our table struggled to get the attention of the guys serving the steaks. Finally when spitting the bill, the suggested tip is still based on the combined total and that’s misleading.
This is my first experience eating Brazilian food and I found it delicious. Tried also a Caipirinha... good start for 2019.
Meats were sparsely brought out - waiter had to intervene on our behalf before we got adequately served. For the cost, this was a disappointment.
Food was great. Selection was immense at the food bar. Meat choices were delicious and well cooked. The table needed a tad more light, maybe a candle or a sconce on the wall or something. Service was very friendly. Only service criticism would be that we had to ask twice for my daughter’s requests after waiting a long time. Overall it’s a great place to celebrate special occasions.
Great and different experience. Nice/modern design space and environment. Great for special occasions and groups. Awesome food.
Everything was outstanding, only flaw was we got a bus person that seemed a little pushy, upset about something, or just seemed that she/ he didn’t want to be at work. Other than that everything else was on point, great food great service (other than te bus person) great atmosphere simply delightful. Would definitely return and recommend
Very slow service. Not up to par We were in a side room and the servers just didn’t come by often or at all. The waiter was extremely slow especially refreshing drinks. Had to ask him for anything needed.
Visited on Christmas day/birthday celebration. It was busy, as expected, and it definitely showed in the waiter’s inattentiveness. He took our drink order and we didn’t see him again until after we ordered dessert (from a different waiter). Also, they did not refresh the salad bar items in a timely manner. Many items were gone/not available. For the cost of almost $60pp, service and details like the salad bar were huge disappointments.
Most of the meat wasn’t very flavorful, and the rib was greasy.
The meat selection was awesome. Fast service made our experience so much better.
Delicious, continuous, meats!
My first and probably last visit to this establishment on Christmas Day. My waitress was courteous and professional and explained how things work. I ordered a cocktail and my entree at the same time, foregoing the market table buffet even tho it was included in the price of my entree. I waited a long time, but that was to be expected as they were slammed being one of the few restaurants open Christmas Day. However, when my entree arrived I still hadn't gotten my cocktail so asked the delivery person (not my waitress) if she could check. Then I noticed my entree did not have the advertised asparagus and flagged my waitress to check into it. I was halfway finished with my fish when my cocktail finally arrived and nearly done by the time my waitress returned to tell me they were out of asparagus, offering me again the market table, which I declined. I do appreciate that the waitress had my entree price reduced by 50%, but even taking the busy holiday into account, having to ask twice for my drink and the wait staff not being properly informed on what was and was not available from the kitchen ... not good for a restaurant that is supposed to be on the high end of dining.
I have been here several times before and it was very good. We made reservations for Christmas day several weeks in advance and were looking forward to a wonderful holiday dinner. Boy, we were disappointed. First, we waited 15 minutes past our reservation time for our table. Then, 7 of us were crammed onto a 6 top table. They had crammed many more tables into the restaurant and got rid of the round tables so it was like being in a giant dining hall. Tables were very close together and it was hard to get up to go to the salad bar, bathroom or even eat at our table as the chairs were so close together. They must have overbooked reservations and took the greedy way out. Service was very slow and the meat servers rarely came around. We were there for over 2 hours as it took so long to get any of the meat to our table. The sides didn't come until half way through our meal. The salad bar was less stocked than usual and not replenished regularly. Overall, a pretty unpleasant experience for Christmas Day.
It’s Christmas day, so instead of cooking we decided to eat Christmas lunch here as first timers. I would say that the food is good, but would still prefer Espetus. The buffet here is all but salad, no pasta or other hot meal compared to Espetus. Some meat were tasty, but some are bland and not juicy, the thick cut made us full right away. We enjoyed our lunch with good service but not planning to come back here though.
Excellent quality in food and service. This place is consistently terrific and I'm always happy to return!
Salad bar is good - lots of options. Great variety of meats but almost all meats were over-salted. They don't seem to have a well-communicated process for pricing. They dont charge for the meat experience if you opt for salad bar only but when we checked our bill we saw they charged all 4 of us, when one person had salad bar only. We had to have them fix the bill. It is also very loud here, and the feeling is very rushed. Not a place to go if you want to have a relaxing dinner with good conversation.
This was a wonderful spot for Christmas Eve dinner. Our seating was on time for our 8 pm reservation. Dinner was immediate since we get the salad and servers right away. However, the falling short came when we got absolutely no refills on water or beverages. Unfortunately, when the servers don't check back periodically, it's poor service and in the end, it guaranteed our beverage tab much smaller. Also, the meat servers service was very limited and rare between visits to our table, which normally isn't the norm.
Service was dreadful! All the other FdC chain restaurants I have been to are better in every aspect! The buffet was a huge mess, the meat service only sporadically arrived at the table...
Rude bartender, slow service, food was cold when served and the buffet was very limited.
Very slow service. We barely got to eat any meat. Food tasted good, but you'd be better off going to other Brazilian steakhouses. Salad bar doesn't have anything. Don't bring any vegetarians with you.
Christmas Eve Family dinner.
Our experience didn’t start well, as we waited 20 minutes past our reservation time only to be shoved into a table in the far back corner. It was Christmas Eve, so I get that they were super busy, & I normally wouldn’t mind waiting... but there was not one acknowledgement or apology for that wait by the staff. Instead they appeared irritated when we asked about our table after the first 15 mins of watching others get seated in front of us.
On to the food. The premise is great; salad bar & roaming carvers bringing a variety of delicious meats to your table. In theory, options include chicken, filet, top & bottom sirloin, rib eye, pork, bacon wrapped sirloin, & lamb. Everything looked delicious as it passed by our table & was offered to the diners around us. We were offered bacon wrapped sirloin 3 times, and rib eye once. After 45 minutes, we asked the attentive bacon sirloin guy if we could get some other options. When 15 more minutes passed with nobody coming to our table, the lovely bacon guy went out of his way to bring us other options that he could find. We never got chicken, pork or filet. The food we did get was delicious & cooked perfectly, but we received one small plate of mashed potatoes & another of carmelized banana & polenta. Not enough for a table of 5 to even get one piece each. We had to ask for more potatoes & water.
The food we had was great, and 2 of the 5 staff we interacted with clearly went out of their way to make up for the poor service provided by the rest. Over all a pretty disappointing experience for a double special occasion of Christmas Eve & birthday. Definitely not worth the $600 bill, especially since we never even got to try the filet.
We booked this restaurant through open table for 5:30pm. We arrived at 5:25p and checked in at front desk. Nobody called us for 25 minutes. After my follow up they prepared a table for us and we were seated around 5:55p. In general front desk was not organized. Food was okay but was not worth the price. Desert and coffee were also overpriced and very low quality. Better Brezelian restaurants can be found for lower or same price. The only advantage of this restaurant is its location. You could feel the Christmas spirit in December around Santana row.
Great place, great food, great service as always. Thank you!
Christmas Dinner party..
I’ve been several times, and for a few ppl in my party it was their 1st.. usually it’s really nice, this time however was disappointing.
We chose this place because it fit everyone’s dietary needs.
The salad bar which boasts 65 items, barely had 20☹️. For the vegetarian’s in the party I felt terrible for them.
Consistency would be nice..
We went on a Sunday . Table to table is very close to each other . There were serveral time the waiters knock a server tray on my head when he tried to clean up the plates for other table next to ours . There is yes and no card . We already put up the NO sign but the meat server still interrupt led our conversation by placing meat on our table.
