Amazing service, all waiters and servers were kind, respectful and welcoming but the food was not the best in comparison to other Brazilian steakhouses I’ve visited in the San José area . Most of the steaks lacked real flavor. Even though on the menu they state that there are many options they only do really offer a handful. Quite disappointing. They do walk around offering shrimp cocktail as if it were a part of the full experience without mentioning that it is not and that you should expect to get charged for it as separate. The buffet bar had decent options. If you do choose to visit I recommend their Brazilian lemonade. The pricing is very comparable to other Brazilian steakhouses but I will not be returning.
Wrong place to be on the busy Sat night. The nice bottle of white wine was served @ the room temp we had to ask them to chill the bottle. The server says "busy night, sold out the ones in the fridge". Line of people waiting for the fresh plates at the salad bar due to the restaurant being a buffet style restaurant. @ $70+ ahead, I just can't justify the value at all. It could have been better during the weekdays.

My wife and I went here for date night! Luckily we were able to get seating outside, but it was so crowded inside the restaurant. The scene reminded me of the days before the pandemic, and we were curious whether the spacing between tables and the number of patrons allowed exceeded the county mandates?
We selected the Churrasco Experience, which is supposed to be a Fogo Tradition. I love the idea, but I cannot recommend it. We love meat, but it was disheartening that a good percentage of the options were just meh. I regretted not ordering from the "traditional" entree portion of the menu.
Although it was not the best option for date night, I did love the Caipirinha alcoholic beverage!

Service to our table initially was very late. We sat for almost 30 minutes before a waiter took our drink order. The women’s bathroom was disgusting. There was no toilet paper in 3 of the stalls and one of the toilets was overflowing and wouldn’t flush. The food was good but the noise level and bathroom experience made our evening disappointing

Service was amazing and the food was yummy I went back to the salad bar a few times.
Went to celebrate a birthday and unfortunate there was no mentions of a happy birthday to the guest of honor or any complimentary desserts offered for a special day. Compared to other higher end restaurants for special celebrations, this one lacked everything and it was not a busy night either.

It was fairly cold inside the restaurant during this fall day (Oct 12th). We couldn’t enjoy our meal comfortably without wearing our jackets
As soon as I checked in, I was warmly greeted by the customer service rep Qiyam and immediately taken to my table. Rachel, our server, took care of me and my brother all night as we celebrated my birthday. Fogo has an amazing sense of community, I felt so welcomed by every employee there. We ate the ribeye, filet mignon, wagyu, and grilled cheese…I have no complaints. They topped off my night with a complimentary tres leches cake. For a full restaurant, the noise level wasn’t bothersome at all, the tables were evenly spaced and I didn’t feel like I was intruding on other tables with my noise as well. 10/10 experience. Will definitely recommend in the near future.

Always a fun and great experience at Fogo de Chao! The service is impeccable, the staff is very friendly and THE MEAT! Love the variety of choices and the cuts!
Note: Watch out for the friendly tray offering of shrimp cocktail or other hors d’oeuvres. There is an extra charge for each item. The way it was presented made it feel like it was part of the “all you can eat” price. Though, it taste excellent!
Nice variety with the salad bar. Can't say the same for the meat. There are supposed to be 19 types of meat but I counted only 10 or so. Also, most meat served were overcooked. Sort of a rip off for what you pay really.
You should've been served every cut that is included in your experience, so we apologize for this. We'd hate for you to be disappointed, so when you are ready, visit us again for a better time.

10/3/21 This Fogo location wasn’t like any other locations i’ve been to. Over crowded with tables blocking the walk way and tables to close to others. Example: Everytime someone was walking pass our table their hitting our table. We were jammed in that restaurant. Quality of meat wasn’t great on another note it was also to salty. Right after dinner me and my partner felt really sick when we got back to our hotel. First time i’ve experienced this at Fogo, and i’ve been been to a few.
This is disheartening to hear, as our cuts should always be filled with our authentic Brazilian flavor. We hope this doesn't truly keep you away, as we'd love to deliver you a 5-star experience.

The bathroom was disgusting. Our reservation was at 7:30 pm but the restaurant was overlooked so we had to wait for our seats for 45 mins. It was ridiculous.

Reservation was for 7 PM and we were not sat until 740. Took 15 minutes for the waiter to come to our table and take our drink order. Once we were done with dinner the waiter never came back to ask us if we wanted dessert or offer us our check. 30 minutes later we finally had to flag him down and asked for the check again he never even asked us if we wanted dessert.

Overall the food was delicious and the service was very good. We did have to ask for the meat servers to come to our part of the restaurant (seated near the bar) because after sitting there for 45 minutes we saw them twice. We knew having been to another location that they should be all over the place. Once we asked, they were there and they were great. But what we were really taken back by was that we were charged for water! Our server asked if we wanted sparkling or flat water when we sat down. We both said still, thinking we were just ordering ice water. Free ice water.. Well we had a bottle of water brought out to us, just as the all the tables around us had. We assumed this was how they served water now. Nope, 2 bottles at $7.50 later we found out on our bill that it wasn’t regular complimentary water. This really should have been communicated at the beginning instead trying to upsell us on water.
Too crowded to feel ok during Covid. We felt very uncomfortable and rushed through our meal to get out of there.
Otherwise, great service, pretty good food, very high prices.

Service was blah. Food needed salt. Also felt they were coming around with the filet minon REALLY slow. The kept bringing strip steak (cheapest cut). They didn’t do a good job making sure we had what we needed. Not for the price.

Things are slipping a bit here, both in the clientele and the product. Service was enthusiastic but poorly trained, salad bar less than what it was years ago, unappealing, dated decor attracting a poorly dressed, heavy eating crowd who are there to stuff themselves. I’m afraid it may be becoming one of those large buffet restaurants making a profit from volume and quantity.

Wonderful food!! We go here when we are able. It's a price for special times. The Lie seating is too close. Even without COVID. Could spread individual tables out some. Puts a damper on the ambience potential there.
Service was slow, meats were somewhat over cooked. I notice a lot of the staff chatting with each other with masks not fully covering the nose.
We came for an anniversary and weren’t treated any differently. We’ve been in the past for our wedding anniversary and they gave us a special dessert and made us feel welcome. The reason we chose to come but but were disappointed. We were also seated right next to the kitchen where the staff was dropping lots of loud dishes.
Not a special visit like we were hoping for.
Our drinks were ordered from the bar, took 15 mins to receive them. It wasn’t busy when we there at 5:45pm

Wonderful and fast service, very attentive. Even asked us if there was a particular meat we wanted them to bring back out, and at what temperature. They brought us back perfectly cooked filet mignon that was fresh and hot. Friendly staff. Perfect experience all around.

It was my wife and I anniversary
We were seated for almost 20 minutes before anyone came to our table. We were there at 5:10 PM and it was not overly busy at the point. The meat selection was poor. The top quality meats like the Ribeye and Filet came around our table once in over an hour and twenty minutes of the visit. The garlic steak and bacon wrapped steak came around every 5 minutes… I never did see or taste the Picanha. Extremely disappointed with the visit. On the positive side, when we finally had someone assist “Freddy” was helpful and kind.
