Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse - San Diego
Fogo de Chão is an authentic Brazilian Steakhouse (Churrascaria) that has been setting the standard in Brazil for the past 36 years. In addition to the main dishes, enjoy our gourmet Market Table, authentic Brazilian side dishes, and award-winning wine list. Food and service excellent as always !!! Even though restaurant was very crowded because of graduations
First time here and we have to say I was really impressed with everything. Service was great and the food was even greater. Planning on going back soon.
Salad Bar way far to be brazilian. The meats was good but the food very poor and cold. Terrible beans , they have a tag as “feijoada” not even close. Terrible “farofa” and 60 bucks. not worth it.
I don’t recommend.
Very nice atmosphere. Our server was great, friendly and informative. My husband and I had a wonderful and delicious dining experience
The food was delicious and they come around often to press you with meats. Never had to wait long for anything.
Very nice place especially when you’re celebrating any special occasion. Food was great, all meats taste very good.
It was just OK, their competitor Rei do gado is slightly less expensive and has more to offer.
They also put us in the far corner and it was over crowded to the point that it was almost pointless to go to the salad bar.
It was my first time going to a Fogo De Chao and I totally enjoyed our time at our family gathering, I’m glad I picked this restaurant for this special occasion.
This was the first time no food server asked how we'd prefer the meat cooked, which resulted in many well done cuts. Disappointing, as we prefer rarer meant, but excellent nonetheless.
Fogo never disappoints! Went for brunch this time, even better!!!
Me and my wife loved it ! It was definitely the place for a perfect romantic dinner
A great meal with friends.. Great assortment of food.
Sons 16th birthday dinner
Ambiance and food was really good. However, they’ve switched to electronic billing and it was supper problematic for our table of 6. I took about an hour after dinner to figure out our bill
Wonderful food and service. It wasn't very busy so we got extra attention from the staff including taking requests on meat which has never happened when we've gone on weekend evenings. Highly recommend for dates and business lunches!
First, my family visits a Fogo de Chao at least 5-10 times per year, so we are very familiar with how our experience should be. During this visit to the San Diego location, the meat was EXTREMELY over salted. Also, the filet was chewy the first time and very rare the second time, even when we asked for medium. The couple at the table next to us also complained about the very heavy salt on all of the meats. During the beginning of our meal, we waited a good 10 minutes while we watched as the servers took meats right past our table (our disc was on green the whole time) and we finally were asked by a women (maybe a manager?) if we were doing ok since she saw that we were just sitting there, without any food on our plates, and we were looking around for some sort of acknowledgement from ANY of the staff. We told her that none of the servers were stopping at our table to offer us meat and that we'd been waiting for about 10 minutes with empty plates. She promptly redirected the servers to come by our table and from that point on we were properly served.
Overall the San Diego location is the worst Fogo location for service, quality of food, and parking (we paid $20 to park), and the couple seated next to us agreed with this assessment. We have been to the San Diego location several times, and our experience has not improved. This past visit will be our last to this location. We will continue to eat at the Fogo de Chao in LAS VEGAS, as we have had very good experiences there. We actually have reservations for eight in two weeks at the Las Vegas location and look forward to our visit at the Las Vegas Fogo.
It was great – the food was delicious and the service was attentive, the atmosphere was pleasant and quiet
Everything was good
It was very warm in there to were it was making us uncomfortable
Waitress not that friendly, nothing was given for dessert for a birthday celebration
Service was amazing as the food. Took my dad here for his birthday and I’ve enjoyed it!!!
Always excellent in all areas. A great place to enjoy a good meal with great service!
We got seated right away. All the servers were very friendly. We took the recommendations for cocktails. I had the caramelized pineapple old fashion. It was light but refreshing. This was a first time visit for two of my guests and they loved it. We celebrated a birthday.
We come very often, we LOVE the food. It is high quality food, fresh and tasty.
The market table is amazing ! my son is vegan and he enjoys coming here. Few restaurants
have the quality of this one.
Excellent service and quality of grilled steaks. Monica, who is one of the gaucho servers is fabulous & very attentive. We will definitely be back for more!
Slower service than normal. Slow kitchen. I’m usually more happy.
The food and experience was outstanding. Wonderful for a special night out.
Won't be back. At that price point you expect a certain level of service. Should not take 20 minutes to get drinks, then forgot one and then take another 10 to get the one drink you forgot. Food was ok.
Outstandingexperience, I have recommend this to everyone I’ve spoken too in the last 24 hours. I will be going back again really soon!
"I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I most likely revisit. Go with an appetite so you get your moneys worth.
Price is a little steep if you don't eat much.
Service was well-timed and friendly, wines were affordable."
Disappointing service arrived at 8:30 and we’re happly seated but immediately forgotten servers were putting the restaurant to bed while we still waiting for food felt unwelcome
Food & Service was amazing! Our overall experience was fantastic! We’ll be back!
Great food. Amazing service.
I had only been to one other Brazilian Steakhouse before, and that was back on North Carolina. This was just as good, if not better than that one. The meat here is delicious, the medium rare is just perfect for every cut. The salad bar had everything you’d want and then some. Great food, great service, friendly servers, and a beautiful setting. A little on the expensive side, but in my opinion, 100 percent worth it.
Everyone is super nice. Went here for my birthday and they gave me a free dessert. Kids under 7 eat free, which is amazing. My kids loved the food & experience. Food was great!
You trally didnt have a choice....either rare or rare. Also found that with few exception most cuts were bland and needed the sauces to create flavor. Definitly over prices for the quality of food....spent several months in Brasil on business and this restaurant doesnt even come close to the flavors and quality I experienced there.
Fun night, great food, great service! We went here based on the review and they were spot on. Highly recommend for a fun, different eating experience.
First time, best time!
Came here for my first cheat meal after competing in the Muscle Contest NPC show Sat and the garlic steak was everything I wanted and more. Plus, as it was around my bday, they gave me this yummy strawberry cheesecake (which I took home because the steak filled me up). Love this place
Have been to most of the locations now and love the establishment but this was the worst experience i have ever had unfortunately. Party of 9 and for 8 of them, it was there first time going. Half of us did the all you can eat which was amazing, others ordered a single dinner. Drinks never came, dinners that were ordered never came so they unfortunately left hungry and irritated that i recommended this place and it was a complete let down. Other locations were amazing. Maybe it was an off night for this location but unfortunately it makes you second guess going back.
Courteous staff. Great food. Valet parking is expensive even with validation.
