Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse - San Diego Ratings and Reviews
As always, our dining experience at Fogo de Chao was amazing. The manager took great care for a member of our dining party with a food alergy and setup a wonderful birthday cake surprise for our party. We will be back and highly recommend this brazilian dining experience to everyone!
We were in San Diego for the PCBC Show last week. I was recommended Fogo De Chao Brazilian Steakhouse as a great restaurant to visit in the area. We entertained one of our key customers for dinner and we had a great time and a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, the service was great, the ambiance was lively and the drinks were amazing. I would definitely visit again and would highly recommend.
It was the best experience ever.. great food, the staff were fast on bringing well-done meat, which was great. The salad bar was great too. We celebrated my friend's birthday as surprise to her. She loved it and loved their complimentary desert too with one candle. They made her day.
Came here to celebrate my girlfriend's dad's birthday. We were seated promptly close to the feijolada bar as I had requested. we had gone to the Beverly Hills location before but the service here was even better. The food was all delicious and their cuts were cooked to perfection.
I have been here several times , but the last few times the quality and service has been so bad . We literally sat there and waited for meat to come out for over 20 mins . It wasn't until we asked did they walk over with the meat we wanted and it was cold !!!! The place is not cheap and so it's disappointing to spend over 150 dollars and barely get your miners worth . The only service person that was good was the man bringing over the drinks and checking up on us . I had bad service last time and complained , but management at fogo doesn't really care . I decided to go one more time , and I promised myself I would never step into that place again . I can go somewhere else and get more bang for my buck with better service .
We were seated on the back part of the restaurant, we were served 3 different types of meat within our 30 min being seated. I had to ask for service since we've been ignored and the meat servers doesn't get in our area since we're seated too far. We paid full price but never got the full experience.
As always Fogo de Chao makes our visit special. Being a Brazilian I only choose the best and this is the Best even back in my country. Their service is amazing and all the quality of what they prepare is super.
I love pão de queijo, Guarana, the incredible salad bar, and all the amazing meat cuts that you will not eat anywhere else.
Is an unique experience that you will for sure always want to come back.
Oh and for dessert the flan or the papaya with cassis.
And if you want to be more adventurous try caipirinha.
Kind of disappointing. Don't get seated in the back. Waited 10-15 mins before any skewers came by. They kept walking to the other tables. The waiter had to tell the people to bring the meat to our table. On multiple occassions they ran out of meat before everyone in our table of 7 got a piece. Not an enjoyable experience. Should've spent our dining dollars elsewhere.
Waited for our waiter for two teas almost 20 minutes before getting them. The meat cutters would pass our table. Had to keep asking for someone to bring meats. When brought meat it was like rare and cold. Have had much better service maybe go back. Asked for more bread none brought.
The service could have been better. Having never been to the restaurant before the waitress didn't explain how the restaurant operates and didn't offer us a menu. There was quite a bit of miscommunication and frustration on our part. Overall the food was good though.
We went for memorial day lunch and our son's birthday. The waitress and all the staff were very kind and helpful even when our two-year-old lost his straw a couple of times. Food was amazing as usual. I just wish I had parking or Validated parking. Even with the valet parking $10 for an hour and a half is a little steep after you pay so much for food. It will continue to special events restaurant for our family. Much love and God bless the farah family
Great experience and fantastic all-you-can-eat food, with a salad bar that is extensive and loaded with variety and quality. Will certainly go back, but bring your wallet/purse with you. We only had 3 glasses of wine for a party of four and the bill still came to $280 before tip!
Came to celebrate a special occasion (graduating from a doctoral program) with multiple guests visiting from out of the country. It didn't feel anything close to "special" despite having great experiences dining here in the past. We had to constantly try to get attention from the servers. We had to ask for certain meats (at one point I had to ask 3 different servers just to get a particular type of meat). Our server was not warm or welcoming at all. Not even a "congratulations" or ask what the celebration was for when I was clearly wearing a tam and graduation lei. It was not a busy time either (tail end of brunch). For celebrating such a huge milestone in my life and considering the value and experience of my guests, I really wish I could've taken my business elsewhere.
Very expensive, the lamb taste fish. Not sure what happened with it.
Dinner for 2 with one beverage and 1 glass of wine $140. Classy, but Brazilian steak houses are just a notch above a buffet. No way I will spend this kind of coin for fishy lamb and fried bananas again.
