Worst prices i have ever seen. Way too expensive and you dont know it until the check comes. I will never return and i’ll make sure everyone i know never comes here
We are disappointed to read your words, as it's imperative that every guest enjoys their visits. We hope you choose to visit us down the road, as we are sure we can earn your 5-stars.
The food was mediocre. Some cuts are too dry. Most meat that was going around is sirloin, and I believe that is the cheapest cut. Service was horrible. It was very difficult to flag a staff down, and even so, they do not accommodate your request. You can get a way better value for this price dining elsewhere.
We never want to hear that our cuts are mediocre, as we take pride in serving you quality cuts. Please know, your opinion means the world to us, and we hope to be able to make this up to you in the future.
This was our 1st experience at a Fogo de Chao Restaurant and overall it was Good. The meats and variety of food on the bar was all good. Although our server somehow got lost for us, there were others who stepped in when we had a need.
Food was great as usual just I went with a few others who didn’t want the premium meats. I paid for the premium and I don’t know if it was because the others or what but I was overlooked quite a bit. I enjoyed the food I did get but at a certain point I just got frustrated and left.
Had a lovely birthday lunch here. The food was excellent and the service attentive
The service was slow and terrible from our waitress. We had ask no less than 3 times for anything, from drinks to side dishes (which we never got during our 1.5 hours there). Several of the meats never made their way to our section despite our asking specifically for them, even thought we saw other areas with plenty of them as we walked to the Market Table and on our way out. When meats did arrive, we were asked how we liked them cooked. If we said medium rare, the response was always “this is closer to medium, is that ok?”. They were closer to well done every time. I have never in my life had chicken so dry. I’ve eaten at a Fogo De Chao before and it was excellent, so I don’t know if it is this location that is awful, if it was just a bad night, or if the chain is just doing down hill, but it certainly left a bad taste in my mouth, both literally and figuratively.
We pride ourselves in serving our guests cuts that meet their satisfaction, so it is disappointing to hear that we fell short. Your opinion is of the utmost importance, so we hope to earn your 5-stars in the future.
We often go to this restaurant when we are celebrating something. We were there last week to celebrate my son's college graduation. We were put at a table kind of in the middle of the restaurant and next to a family with babies. I wished that we had asked for another table, so our bad. The food is excellent, however, we were offered beef filet only one time towards the end of our meal. That was disappointing, because we had asked for it several times. Our waitress was not overly friendly. At the end of the meal, just before she brought the check, she mentioned that we were celebrating something, but never asked any details, nor offered a special dessert like we have received in the past. We enjoyed the evening, but did not leave with a glow like we have other times. Maybe we will look for other special occasion places. They are very busy, and so don't have to fawn over their customers.
One of the best meals I’ve ever had!!
Outstanding service & food is worth every penny!!
Fogo San Diego misses the mark by burning all of their meats and overcooking then every single time. Servers think they do you a favor by cutting very thick pieces of meat over your plate- seems that they don’t know what a churrasqueria is. Too bad that it’s not at the same level of the other Fogo in the US and a far cry from Brazil.
I used to frequent Fogo de Chao, but over the course of the year, the service has declined rapidly. There seems to be a lack of servers and gauchos during the lunch hour. The meats are either served rare, or well-done. During the lunch hour, the gauchos no longer ask how we like the meats cooked. It took an awkwardly long time for our server to get around to us and get us our check when we were finally ready to leave. I have been to many Fogos over the country. This one has unfortunately become one of my least favorite locations to visit.
Very disappointed. The service was not good - had to ask for things (like water, bread, potatoes) multiple times. No one cleared our dirty plates - I finally took them to someone. The meat was all tough and overcooked. We usually enjoy Fogo but not this one.
I have enjoyed Fogo in a couple of different cities and this was my first trip to the San Diego location. It was by far my least favorite. The food was not as tasty and it felt more like a factory than a dining experience. It may have been due to the post-Valentine's day aftermath but will definitely come back for another try.
Food was great, I would go back for sure. Only negative is we had to ask for the filet 3 different times and it took about 45 mins to finally get it. When we finally got it we were so full it wasn’t as enjoyable.
Really great service!
There was over an hour wait... after showing up for our reservation time! Service was rude, the food was poor, and it wasn’t the experience my girlfriend and I wanted or expected.
They Overbooked and Everyone with Reservations had to wait 45min to a Hour.
My second bad experience at Fogo. Had a reservation at 8 pm but sat down at 9:30 pm. We stood in line 20 minutes just to check in for our already confirmed reservation! Then stood by a crowded bar for another hour to get a table. the service was terrible also! We hardly ate and kept getting asked if we were done. The salad bar was empty and the meat would never come around. The meal wasn’t worth anything.
Food was good. However, when I make a reservation two months in advance I should not have to wait an hour past my reservation time because you guys overbooked. I even got there 15 minutes early, but by the time I got through the long line of other customers with reservations it was about 10 minutes past my 8 o’clock reservation. The whole process of reservations for tonight seemed very poorly structured. I’m not one to ask for anything free or any discounts, but I do think an apology and ownership for the mistake was owed.
Terrible wait time regardless of reservations.
