Fogo de Chao - San Antonio
Fogo de Chão is an authentic Brazilian Steakhouse (Churrascaria) that has been setting the standard in Brazil for the past 36 years. Today, our gaucho chefs still expertly grill and carve tableside each of our cuts of meat like Picanha (signature sirloin), Filet Mignon, Ribeye, Fraldinha (Brazilian sirloin) Cordeiro (lamb) and more. In addition to the main dishes, enjoy our gourmet Market Table, authentic Brazilian side dishes, and award-winning wine list. Guests can also choose to enjoy lighter seafood selections or enjoy the gourmet Market Table only option.
We also offer semiprivate and private areas that can accommodate parties up to 140.

Soooo good! We did the brunch (huge) and the fun coffee aflame!
We were put in a small, intimate room, which is fine, but it took a while for the gouchos to come with the meat. The meats were delicious but didn't really vary. I believe only 3 different varieties of meat made it to our area, and one chicken and one lamb. The experience was ok, I'd go again with friends but other Brazilian steakhouses are better.
If you are looking to do something special. This is definitely the place
We weren’t getting served any food until I had to complain about it.... 4 of us dining.
Asked for Filet several times, only ended up getting a small piece of it once.
Only saw 3 cuts of beef and 1 chicken come to us...
Wagyu steak at $125 wasn’t anything special...but, at least we got it.
Luckily the salad bar items were available.
At over $400, I expected it to be a memorable dining experience. We took our son there for a special occasion having graduated from Air Force BMT...that wasn’t the case. We enjoyed our $40 lunch at Garcia’s Mexican restaurant WAY more for 10x less!
This was a big disappointment on a special day for us.
The food was good but the salad bar should not be called one. The side would be tasty if they were warm when delivered. When we asked for more bread it took about 45 minutes to get some.
Fogo is the place to go for the most celebrated occasions due to the high price and challenges getting seating for large groups. Nonetheless, it is absolutely worth it to have an amazing meal with bounties of great food for a set price. I have been making an annual trip here for 4 years now with a group of friends from college when we all come to San Antonio to meet up and its perfect for such an occasion.
I always go to fogo de chao over any other Brazilian steakhouses but this experience was not my best. The food was great as always but the service was very subpar I waited a long time and I felt as if staff and management were not prepared as they usually are. Maybe because it was a late night on Thursday but I am sure that it could have been just an off day for everyone.
One of the best restaurant I ever went to! The food is delicious. The prices are reasonnable. Servie is number one! Go there!
Never fails... the service here is horrible. The waiter deliberately ignored us on multiple occasions that the manager even took notice and apologized on their behalf. The restaurant was not busy and the had to continue to ask the manager to have certain meats come to our table.
Food was great...love the Picanha. Drink service was a little bit chaotic...but the Premium Caipirinha was fantastic.
Had the worst 1st experience. My fiancé took me today for my 21st birthday, our server only came once to the table. We waited so long for our drinks, and our server explained everything so poorly. I am a server/bartender myself so I’m usually very understanding but for the amount of money we spent there was no reason for such a delay in our drinks and poor service. Will be the last time I ever visit this place.
We did the restaurant month which does not offer the high value steaks and they were ok.
This was our first and last visit to this restaurant. First our server did not make us feel welcome when we were seated. Then my husband decided not to get anything from the salad bar and had to get his own starter plate for meat. After taking a few bites from the meat my husband fell ill. He said everything he sampled was overly seasoned in garlic salt. He went to the bathroom for an upset stomach which were absolutely filthy and had standing water in the handicapped stall. Then when we asked for the bill we were forced to wait over 15 minutes.
I was able to sample some meat as well and it was very bland or over seasoned.
My husband and I will not be returning to this establishment.
For the price point I was underwhelmed by the food I got. That and it was New Year’s Eve and the valet shut down at 11 pm. Major bummer.
The food was great. The service was ok, probably because it was new year’s eve and the restaurant was very busy. Overall the experience was good and we ate well and had a good time
Los cortes de carne no son los mejores. Muy mala calidad
La carne muy mala y el servicio también
This was our ~10th visit to this location, usually dining here about 3 times per year. While nothing was particularly bad, this location just isn’t the same it used to be. For the first time ever, we found ourselves waiting long periods without any meat coming by. The meat quality was great as usual with the perfect balance of salt. It was still a good experience but just not quite as good as it has been the last 3 or 4 years.
Ashley and Elaina provide exceptional service every visit!
Fun family time!
We visit frequently, tonight was not a good experience. They had so many extra tables on the floor and the wait staff was clearly stressed. Took over 30 mins and a second ask for a Diet Coke and tea. Had to ask for our favs to be re-stocked on the salad bar. The meat severs didn’t bring half of the normal choosing. Family of four, wasn’t impressed this time.
A little slow on the initial service but everything after was great
The staff was very friendly and accomadating. Fodd was awesome!!
Attentive service and delicious food. Restroom out of order for more than 30 minutes.
Would have been disappointing if the meals were $20 each and if it was just for a regular dinner, but this was our Christmas dinner and the meals were $55 each. All but one of the meats were completely tasteless, all were barely lukewarm. The mashed potatoes were dry and also barely lukewarm. The salad bar was on the lower end of ok in terms of selections and taste. Restaurant was very loud and we were unable to hear virtually anything any of the staff members said. The entire experience felt like they were too busy and too rushed to do a decent job at anything.
We have come here the last 4 years for Christmas lunch. If I’m spending over $500 for a meal, please don’t “squish” 7 of us on a 6 top table. I made reservations and arrived 25 minutes early so our group was not unexpected. The side of our table that had 4 people seated had no room to push our chairs back to get out. The servers bringing meats could not get in between us without touching us so we lean into each other so they could cut meat for us. It was uncomfortable and disappointing to spend that much money at a place where we could not even cut out food without bumping each other’s elbow.
Wait staff were extraordinarily attentive and prompt with service requests. Market table was kept well stocked and had additional items for the holiday that could have served as a full meal without the carving servers.
Outstanding service, Mr Salazar (the manager) gave friendly welcome and made us feel like home, all staff members great service and great food
Great service! Delicious food.
Everything about the evening was perfect, thank you to everyone at Fogo de Chao!
I went there for a very early birthday dinner (My birthday isn’t until ten days from now which is New Year’s Eve by the way) and I was pleased with how I was seated fairly quickly despite that it was three-quarters of the way filled up.
Sub par service and food was middle of the road.
It was amazing everything was delish!
My Husband and I had our anniversary dinner at Fog while visiting San Antonio. Everything was wonderful.
Taste and atmosphere were excellent!
We enjoyed the dinner.
Good food and service
