Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse - Rosemont Ratings and Reviews
We arrived around 9:20pm and were promptly seated. It was my boyfriend and I with our daughter. Our server was young gentleman named Gustavo. He was very attentive and very accommodating to us and our daughter. It was towards the end of the night and he never made us feel rushed in any way. Great service is what really made our night there :)
I have been to other Brazilian steakhouses, but this one is the best I have ever been to. From the moment I was seated and the server put my coat on my chair so it wouldn’t drag, to the fantastic explanation of the menu to ensuring myself and my husband got to try everything we wanted to, it was an amazing experience. The meat is perfectly marinated and is not salty like other similar establishments. It was great and I hope to return soon.
Quality of the meat has gone down substantially. Most cuts were tough and chewy, and even visually not as appealing as in the past. Service was exceptional as always. Sadly, the price makes it impossible to justify a repeat visit. Other local options are much better.
Comparing this to Texas De Brazil and I prefer Fogo better. I find that their meat is not overly seasoned ( salty ) which for me takes away the flavor of the meat. Also I did appreciate that despite being busy, the servers passed by our table frequent enough to sample everything. That was my main gripe in Texas De Brazil where despite being in the middle table... our table was overlooked. Just a better run place in my opinion despite being so busy. Do make the effort to reserve, it can get packed so walk ins could wait a bit. Also, the parking situation in Rosemont is terrible where valet turned away cars due to the lack of space.
Every year we go to Fogo for my husband's birthday and this year was better than the last. I really felt like we were taken care of without it being overwhelming. I believe it was a manager that came to our table, I can't recall his name, but he was so nice and welcoming. Everyone there is looking out to make sure no one is missing anything. Overall we had a good experience and we will continue to go to this location!
Waitress spilled a huge tray of drinks right by our table broken glass and ice everywhere. Sprayed my friend’s girlfriend with soda. It happens, right? Offer a free drink or dessert or something? Nope. Was it necessary to create a scene to express displeasure? I guess so because without it was swept under the rug. Then waited forever to just bring us a check. I love Brazilian Steakhouses and I like gorging here, but was unhappy with the customer service that night. Lame.
The overall experience was good. One complaint I have is that where our table was someone was sitting in the corner and because it wasnt easy to reach him he did get left out of some of the food. Between dinner and getting our dessert menu was an hour and 15 min! Most of our guests were ready to leave at this point. Another thing was the parking. Its not very clear where you can /can't park and nobody told us that our ticket can get validated. Overall it was good though.
I took my girlfriend out for our anniversary. The service was exceptional, the food was exquisite, and the cheesecake slice we had at the end was amazing! The plate even said “Happy Anniversary” in strawberry sauce. So cool! It was a phenomenal experience. Can’t wait to go back again.
I thoroughly enjoyed Fogo. Great atmosphere and the food bar was awesome! The meats were a little over cooked sometimes but for the most part, they tasted fantastic! I've been to many Brazilian steak houses and this is one of the best.
Great job Fogo staff!
I am a vegetarian and I was there with a group.
The market table is nice with quite a few unique options that I have not seen elsewhere. The taste and ambiance is great!
But I didn't find it value for money, given that all I could actually eat was the sides and salads.
The experience and staff was nice which is what made the experience great, but for me to go back again would really need me to find a coupon or a great deal.
I took my wife for her Birthday. She had been, but it was my first time. Service was excellent. It is a true team effort. Once we were seated our waitress explained our options. We went to the Marketplace (buffet with many options) and sat down and turned our cards to green. In an instant I had several kinds of meat on my plate. It was amazing. They had 17 different options. I think I tried most of them. Some more than once. My wife likes her meat more well done and I like Medium rare. We were both very happy that we could get the exact type for our tastes. Everyone was very knowledgeable of the different meats and they even got my wife a desert and sang happy birthday. We will be back after I recover. I am still in an Awesome Meat Coma.
Hostesses were incredibly unhelpful and rude. We arrived at 4pm but had a 430pm reservation. Although we saw various open tables, we were not sat until approximately 440pm, after we asked about the status of our table. The entire time we waited, we watched parties walk in with no reservations and be seated promptly. Once seated, we asked to move to the other six-top across the aisle but were once again met with attitude by the hostess when she flat out said NO. My stepdad asked to speak with a manager, at which point she was suddenly happy to accommodate us. Our servers and gauchos were amazing as usual and the food was outstanding as we’ve come to expect. This was our first time dining at the Rosemont location but simply due to the unprofessionalism of the hostesses, we are unlikely to return. Perhaps they could benefit from some training from the hostesses downtown.
