Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse - Rosemont Ratings and Reviews
Went in to fogo for a Christmas party and fell in love with everything! The front staff is impeccable and the location is a goldmine. The restaurant is upscale and it all began with the lovely ladies in the front, the bar has a beautiful Christmas tree that makes the entire bar shine. Once the party was seated we were introduced to a beautiful seafood tower and spectacular red wines. The staff was very friendly and took care of all our need. I had a marvelous time and can’t wait to return, thank you fogo for the amazing time and the perfect start of my holidays. I will definitely be returning and bringing In the rest of the family! You have the best value and product in the business.
Good Food but service could have been better. I felt rushed. They served us one cup of coffee at the end with dessert and never asked if we wanted more. We had to ask. It felt like they wanted to turn the table over, even though half the restaurant was empty at that point. It is not a place to linger and visit with your table mates. Also, when we checked in, they did not register our keeping our reservation.
We came with a large group of 16 people. The food was fine, it wasn’t exceptional and it wasn’t bad. But it certainly wasn’t memorable. What was memorable was the service, and not in a great way. We were obviously a large group spending a significant amount of money, with high hopes of good service. There were times for 20 to 30 minutes that we couldn’t even locate our server. Certain meats never came to our table and we had to request 2-3 times before someone came. Drinks sat empty for long periods of time. For the amount of money spent the service should be exceptional. I won’t be back
Went to Fogo De Chao with a friend and had the best time. The hosts were very attentive and sat us down right away. The server was extremely polite and explained the concept and guided me to the salad bar. The salad bar was full of fresh and tasty options the sweet potatoes is a must have. The chefs did a excellent job in explaining the meat options and made sure we got all the cuts we desired, the lamb chops were amazing. I will definitely be returning to this beautiful restaurant. Thank you Fogo for the phenomenal experience.
I'd only been to one Brazilian Steakhouse before and was thoroughly impressed with the food. So when a friend of mine I was working a convention with asked if we could go to Fogo De Chao I was interested, and we decided to bring some more friends along.
My friend was born in Brazil and as we sat down to dine he would occasionally converse with a few of the waiters in Portuguese. All of the staff were very friendly and prompt with requests. The food was excellent all around and the energetic ambiance helped keep things lively. The entire party fawned over the cuts of meat and the appetizers that kept flowing throughout the meal.
Our dining experience at Fogo De Chao made for a very memorable night. Would definitely like to return next time I'm in Rosemont.
Wait staff was very nice and attentive. Food was ok but used to be much better. Our only problem was that the manager constantly circled our table so we could leave before the rush which made us uncomfortable. There are much better Brazilian steakhouses for the money. Try Chama Gaucho
Excellent food and market salad bar was phenomenal. Great way to taste a lot of different cuts of meat. The only criticism - watch the doneness of the meats. They tend to want to give you what's on the outside which is always overcooked. You need to tell them no, you want what you asked for - if you want medium or medium rare they will plop down the well done and call it a day if you let them. Food is great once you get around this problem that they need to address overall at this location. Was never offered chimichurri which was a disappointment. Service was phenomenal otherwise, food was tasty and abundant for sure. Nice, fun atmosphere. Great change of pace from an average steak house.
Other than the people who brought the meats, too many people attending as our waiter so really could not figure out who our go to person was. No introductions on the various people who came to table asking if we needed anything. When asked what the price of the seafood tower was we were quoted a different price than what we were charged for. For what we paid for, I really expected better and so much more. Probably will never return!
This was my first Thanksgiving I didn't have to cook and I couldn't have asked for a better place to enjoy my holiday than here at Fogos !! Again I would like to thank all the servers that gave up their holiday to help make mine extra memorable !! Besides the regular delish meats I loved the little side table with all the traditional Thanksgiving foods available !
We arrived around 9:20pm and were promptly seated. It was my boyfriend and I with our daughter. Our server was young gentleman named Gustavo. He was very attentive and very accommodating to us and our daughter. It was towards the end of the night and he never made us feel rushed in any way. Great service is what really made our night there :)
I have been to other Brazilian steakhouses, but this one is the best I have ever been to. From the moment I was seated and the server put my coat on my chair so it wouldn’t drag, to the fantastic explanation of the menu to ensuring myself and my husband got to try everything we wanted to, it was an amazing experience. The meat is perfectly marinated and is not salty like other similar establishments. It was great and I hope to return soon.
Quality of the meat has gone down substantially. Most cuts were tough and chewy, and even visually not as appealing as in the past. Service was exceptional as always. Sadly, the price makes it impossible to justify a repeat visit. Other local options are much better.
Comparing this to Texas De Brazil and I prefer Fogo better. I find that their meat is not overly seasoned ( salty ) which for me takes away the flavor of the meat. Also I did appreciate that despite being busy, the servers passed by our table frequent enough to sample everything. That was my main gripe in Texas De Brazil where despite being in the middle table... our table was overlooked. Just a better run place in my opinion despite being so busy. Do make the effort to reserve, it can get packed so walk ins could wait a bit. Also, the parking situation in Rosemont is terrible where valet turned away cars due to the lack of space.
Every year we go to Fogo for my husband's birthday and this year was better than the last. I really felt like we were taken care of without it being overwhelming. I believe it was a manager that came to our table, I can't recall his name, but he was so nice and welcoming. Everyone there is looking out to make sure no one is missing anything. Overall we had a good experience and we will continue to go to this location!
Waitress spilled a huge tray of drinks right by our table broken glass and ice everywhere. Sprayed my friend’s girlfriend with soda. It happens, right? Offer a free drink or dessert or something? Nope. Was it necessary to create a scene to express displeasure? I guess so because without it was swept under the rug. Then waited forever to just bring us a check. I love Brazilian Steakhouses and I like gorging here, but was unhappy with the customer service that night. Lame.
