Fogo de Chão is an authentic Brazilian Steakhouse (Churrascaria) that has been setting the standard in Brazil for the past 36 years. WOW this place has gone downhill. First and foremost, the floors are positively disgusting. Sticky and there’s a visible haze on the floor. There are tiles missing on the floor that are covered in tape. There is no grout between any of the tiles and you can feel them wobble under your feet. The ambiance for the price paid is absolutely deplorable. As for food, the first few meat offerings were tasty. And then it seems as if almost a certain time, they start covering all of the meat in salt (maybe MSG to get people to stop eating?). No matter what we received it was so terribly salty. The quality has gone down too. Some of the meat was so tough and impossible to chew and had to be spit out. The waitress we had was bad. She was rude and we had to beg for her to refill our drinks. The worst issue was the salad bar. Countless people went up to visit the buffet, used their fingers to pick up what they wanted, LICKED THEIR FINGERS, and continued choosing items WITH SAID FINGERS. I told our waitress and she acknowledged me but they never swapped out the trays. It was repulsive. I cannot and will not recommend this place.

I didn't even know about Fogo de Chao until a friend came to town on business and was staying overnight at a hotel by O'Hare airport. Before I moved to Chicago my go-to for all my special occasion dinners was Espetus, a Brazilian steakhouse on Market Street in San Francisco with the same theme as your own. Fogo de Chao is even finer than Espetus, and that's very fine, indeed. Your entire staff was professional and friendly (friendly is a rare trait in Chicago), attentive without ever once being intrusive. The fillets of steak in every form imaginable were perfectly done and presented amply, which made it simple to keep to my Keto diet that week. I never wanted to go home.

After dining at Fogo in downtown Chicago I was expecting a good experience. This restaurant was totally different.
Servers seemed indifferent to any needs at our table. The self pay computerized tablet bill reminded me of a fast food hamburger store not a fine restaurant.
Perhaps management needs to address the chill at tables near the front door every time it opened. No double doors to prevent cold winds in my case, from entering the building. Quality of meats was good but for the fact that they appeared few and far between. I will stay with the Fogo downtown.

Celebrating my anniversary I had a great experience! The food was amazing. Our waiter was great. There was so many people there it took awhile for us to receive different cuts as they went around. But overall great experience! Definitely coming back soon.

As always, the service stunk (from the wait staff). The meat cutters are always good and friendly). The waitress disappeared for 25 minutes and we ended up grabbing a random server to simply ask for water and then another one to ask for our check (after another 10 minutes).

Mixed reviews as we enjoyed our meal, very pricey for what ended up to be a virtual salad meal, sans one fish dinner. We did wait for almost 20 minutes for our drinks which in the end were comp'd for said wait. The atmosphere was a little disjointed as there seemed to be a lack of communication? Seems like they may be still trying to get their rhythm down.

Great variety of food and super relaxing atmosphere. Everybody just keeps feeding you lol! Thanks to Jonathan A for topping off our experience with some dessert. The key lime pie was delicious!

The service seemed rushed to get you in and out. Salad bar was OK. The chicken was very dry. There was no filet as advertised. All other meat was good. We had issues paying bill with our gift card and the waiter tried to help. When we noticed an error and asked for the manager he was very RUDE to us. We tried to tell him of the issue and he did not want to hear it. So I ended up paying 50% tax on a $30 bill which he said we owed. Not going back!

Where to start? We came to this location since the downtown one has gradually lost its quality in the last 15 years. First, reservation was for 10 people and table was set for 9. We asked several times for place settings. The meat servers only stopped on one side of the table. Is it by coincidence that the less expensive meats made it to the table several times but we had to ask for lamb and top sirloin 7 times before they came once? There is only so much sausage and chicken legs one can eat. The area around the salad bar is dangerously slippery. The quality of creme brûlée was so poor. This place is not worth the price anymore. What a great disappointment!

Service was terrible, I asked for my drink and bread to get refilled so many times I felt like I was borderline begging for a cup of water. Asked for the rack of lamb and beef ribs literally about 6 or 7 times. The tables seemed cramped together my chair was constantly getting bumped into. Literally was there for about 3 hours and it felt like most of it was spent waiting on being served.

Seems this location is going through a remodel. The dining area was cramped and there was a serious lack of ambience. We’ve been here years ago, and it was much better. Now, the tables were pushed up right where people were waiting to be seated and the tables are cramped. The plane walls and there was a lack of decor. The food itself was fine, but very slow even when we requested certain meats, over 3 times, they just never made it around. We had a vegetarian who ordered the salad bar and asked if we the soup was made with chicken stock... took 2x asking and 20 minutes to get an answer. Not the end of the world, as it was busy, but definitely something lacking here. We asked for the dessert menu, and 15 minutes later we get the bill? Staff was very friendly, but either they were too busy, and couldn’t handle it, or just an off-night.?

We haven't visited the restaurant in a couple months, so when we walked in, we were surprised to see a new layout up front, and the rest of the space in disarray. Instead of the usual low lighting, it was super bright, which was strange for 7:15 at night. Walls seemed bare and unfinished, there were bits of unfinished carpeting/flooring throughout, and it just didn't look as nice as it normally does. It's clear they were in the middle of some renovations, as I was seated directly next to some drywall and there were chunks of drywall on the floor. I decided to skip the salad bar that night, so I turned my card to green shortly after we sat down. I waited ten minutes until someone came to our table with meat. Someone stopped by with plantains and polenta, but we had to ask for the parmesan puffs and mashed potatoes. I had 3 or 4 servers stop by and was finished with my first round of meat, and THEN the mashed potatoes were brought out. Everything was just slow - we've never had to wait that long for any of the sides. Based on the service and the overall appearance of the restaurant, it was a disappointing experience. Instead of feeling like we were in a normal Brazilian steakhouse, we felt like we were having continental breakfast at the Holiday Inn.

Food was terrific. Service was disjointed. Appetizer cake after dinner, couldn’t get our server, I think they may have been changing shifts. Tonight was a special occasion and we were bummed that we had to address service issues all night which took the attention away from the birthday celebration.

My husband and I were seated almost 40 minutes past our reservation time. Once finally seated, we were not provided with proper plates or tongs so the few meat options provided in the beginning was cut onto our side dish plates. Almost 30 minutes later provided one side of mashed potatoes and plantains. We were consistently walked by with the servers providing top cut meats and sides. The only server that seamed to pay us any attention was a young lady offering chicken. She visited our table at least five times. Sorry but I think it's ridiculous to think someone is willing to pay over a hundred dollars for unlimited chicken only dinner with a spoonful of potatoes. We will never return to this location.

Made a reservation on open table. I guess there is no point of making a reservation at fogo de Chao because we waited 45 after our reservation time to get a table. Then ask the host what is the point of making a reservation when you don’t get a table. He replied back to me saying everyone is on desserts and that they were leaving. Still waited 20 minutes after that. I don’t like to complain but it was just horrible. They are under construction at the moment and expect you to pay for a expensive dinner at a high end restaurant. The only thing that came out good from the night was Adis he took care of our whole table and was very polite. He came back to our table with different foods the whole night. He was the only person that was taking care of us. Overall bad experience except for Adis he was excellent and honestly deserves a promotion.

Adis was one of the servers (lamb) and his personality was awesome! He explained the cuts, visited our table often and made sure we had whatever we needed. Love this place!!

Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted and given a pager even though we had a reservation. It took about 15 minutes to get us seated. The server was great, she took our drink order and explained how the process worked for the guests that had never been before. Salad bar and hot bar were great, you could really make a meal on that alone. We had several meat servers come around but did have a long hair wrapped around our steak which was very unappealing. We told management but he tried to explain it away or diminish it. Never offered to take $$ off the bill or anything, get us a free dessert, nothing. That was disappointing but we didn't let it ruin the evening. It did however make us cautious on every bite.

Food and customer service was excellent, our waiter went out of his way to satisfy our requirements. Noise level was the only negative point, it was hard for me to keep track of conversations. For groups of 7-8 people I would recommend a round table, a rectangular table is not good for the people at the end of the table because of the noise level.

Made a 6:45 reservation for 8 and arrived at 6:47 with all members of our group. A group of 11 was seated ahead of us even though they didn't have a reservation. Wasn't seated until 7:15 (30 minutes later). 2 of our dinners were comped to make up for it. Food and our waiter were great once we were seated.

I used to love going to Fogo de Chão with my friends every so often. I always praised the good service and the food. Last time I went, food was dry! It’s supposed to be fresh out of the grill food. Our steaks were served well done and and dry! Rice looked and tasted hard. I was so disappointed with the experience, especially because I brought new friends to try one of my favorite places to eat. Not going back to that location

The food was great but the service was very slow. We had to ask multiple times to get the meats served at our table and for a table of 13 we had to ask multiple times for more mashed potatoes. 4 small plates will not be enough for that many people. The Rosemont location needs to work on improving their service.
