Most of the salad bar was completely empty
Overall great experience but we made reservations and was told by a young host that we had to wait for unknown time either outside in the rain or at the overcrowded bar. According to Young curly brownish colored hostess said the manager doesn’t allow them to close reservations when they have reached their maximum capacity. Spoke to manger explained I had seniors with our party and choices to wait either place wasn’t an option. Mngr set us at our reservation time which was appreciated. Gauchos we’re slow to respond when they said they would return but in all fairness the restaurant was overcrowded. Table service slow number of people come to table to check on you but no one return with your request. We were a party of 4 and we had to constantly ask for more potatoes. Experience was palpable but for price the restaurant should have been more organized.
The Wagyu Ribeye experience was so worth the wait and cost, I’d recommend it to anyone!
Made reservations at 7:45 but waited around 50 minutes to get seated.
Please know your time is of the utmost importance, so we apologize for making you feel otherwise. We'd like to make this right, so when you are ready to visit us again, please do so.
It had been a great place to eat out.
However, the experience this time was not the best as the floor stuff were not educated about their food, lacking the knowledge. There were not enough signs for the food on their buffet to describe what they were such as a creamy looking stuff, dressing and soup etc.
A floor stuff was transferring the buffet cut vegetables to a new buffet plate with his bare hand was unappetizing. (Is it normal??)
Their selection for the buffet seemed to be a lot lighter than ever and same thing to their signature of meat.
Very disappointed unfortunately.
We might give it a shot one more time one day, but not anytime soon.
We hope they will go back to what they were.
We are disappointed to hear that your visit wasn't up to par, as we should always be delivering top-notch experiences. We will be sure to reach out via direct message, in hopes of inviting you back for a better time. Thank you.
All you can eat steakhouse basically for great price!
Food excellent. Ambiance excellent. Small problem waiting for some water but not a big deal. Very nice servers. Would have liked to have been offered fried bananas and filet mignon. Love this place thank you
Thanks for your feedback, Terri! So happy to hear our team was able to show you a memorable dining experience. We hope to serve you again!
Food was great. Our waiter was super rude. Overall 4/5
Our first experience a month ago at Fogo left a bit to be desired, but Alex the GM reached out and convinced us to give it a second try. And I have to say, I'm very glad we did. Both times the food was excellent, I mean how can you not enjoy fresh cuts of meat carved off right at your table, but the service this time was stellar as well. We never felt like we were looking around to be helped, the staff were on top of their game, even in a fully packed restaurant on a Saturday night.
We were seated right near the kitchen entrance, so the noise level was quite loud (to be expected), but we had the benefit of getting first pass at the cuts as they left the kitchen, straight from grill to our table, so it was well worth it.
We will certainly be back, and are very happy we were convinced to give it a second try.
Well done Fogo!
Our experience wasn’t good. We made the mistake of making reservations 45 minutes before closing time. There was one server who was hustling and kept coming around, but everyone else was taking it easy. Because it was so near to closing time there were no new meats coming off, and everything we were served was over cooked. Lots of meat was unavailable. They started cleaning up and stacking tables and chairs while we were still waiting for more food. We finally took the hint and realized that things weren’t going to get better and left.
It was truly our pleasure to serve you, and we are disappointed to read that you felt so unwelcome. We do not want to leave you with this impression, as the opinion you hold of us is very important, so our team will be in touch via direct message. Thank you.
Memorial Day Holiday-my bf is an active duty for the army, so we couldn’t resist the promo at Fogo. It was way busier than usual-the most busiest we had seen during Covid. But the lead host, his name is Robert? We instantly recognized the Naruto cap my bf was wearing (which I got for my bf’s bday) and got along really well and he started us on our drinks while our server was elsewhere. Cool dude!
Honestly not worth the money, take your business to ringside instead .This place used to be such a great experience but not anymore. We were sat by a window to watch the homeless and drug users walk by and right next to a server station. Employees and service was unprofessional. Drinks were so sugary and gross. The buffet area definitely isn’t what it used to be I’m assuming due to covid but for the price it was over picked and looked un-appetizing. Would not recommend this place.
We always want our guests to leave impressed with their Fogo de Chão experience, so it's disheartening to learn we let you down. We'd love the chance to regain your support, so we'll be sure to send you a direct message shortly. Thank you.
Waiter was inexperienced and ignored us 80% of the time. We had to ask for things several times. At one point we asked for desert menu and waiter came around with it for the table next to us, but ignored my table. They almost lost or shopping bag and staff shrugged their shoulders at an attempt to avoid responsibility. Never going back!!!! Don’t recommend.
Derek, your service should always be top-notch, so we are disappointed to hear that we fell short. We hope you visit us in the future, as we'd love to earn your 5-stars.
Food was awesome. Some of the meats, depending on when they got to you, was dry but they just swap it out no big deal. The waiter made us really uncomfortable though.
Everything from our main server Nino to all the other servers walking around with appetizers, meat cuts and drinks were AMAZING! The atmosphere was so fun and positive that we really got to enjoy ourselves. This was our first visit and we will definitely be back! Thanks Nino for all the fun jokes and laughs and making us feel so comfortable and welcomed all the while eating delicious food.
We keep asking about the rib eye steak and they never brought them out. Rice was bit crispy and soup was empty. Overall good food but won’t be coming back.
Poor service. Very slow
Attentive service is what you can count on here, so we're disappointed to hear you received anything less. Our team hopes you decide to award us a second chance in the future.
Service was slow. Staff did not seem to be working together as a team as they claim they do. Not many meat selections were offered. When we requested meats, staff was slow or they would forget about our request. Many meats were cooked well on outside but too rare inside. Very disappointed!
Our team should always be working together to ensure you are receiving an amazing fine dining experience with a great selection of cuts, so we apologize for falling short this time around. We'll be sure to send you a direct message shortly, as we'd love to regain your support.
Food was great as always, but they did not serve Brazilian side dishes with the full experience this time (we used to get stuff before and after the meal like mashed potatoes, caramelized bananas, crispy polenta, etc. but somehow none of that served this time). If you get no side dishes, we highly recommend the Chocolate Brigadeiro as a dessert (a delicious beast that should be shared by two people).
Service was not great. The servers were attentive, but forgot to bring what we asked for(drinks, coffee, etc.)
Your requests should always be fulfilled, as our team strives to deliver nothing short of attentive service. We'll be sure to send you a direct message in hopes of inviting you back. Kind Regards.
My first time at this restaurant as things are reopening. Definitely take an appetite but the flavors and service were wonderful, it did feel a bit crowded with headcount but the service was excellent and attentive.
First time there, everything was so good it’s far too easy to over eat. Will definitely be returning perhaps monthly. My new favorite restaurant in Portland.
Good food great service just need more meat servers. Chicken never made it to our table but everything else was good.
Outstanding food, service, & ambiance! Perfect for special occasions or just a nice meal with family.
This is a fixed price menu with add-ons for water, wine, desert, etc. Two main courses: The first is a salad bar with some enhancements but many to most items what one would expect from a "family" restaurant. The second course features different selections of meats brought to your table and carved for you there. It's really a quite nice and unusual idea. A few problems here, as well, though. They did not provide fresh service, so we ate off our salad plates. Many of the meat items were well done, but they were more than willing to help us get the medium-rare we wanted. Unfortunately, they brought the side dishes (mashed potatoes, polenta, and fried bananas-not plantains) while we were still eating our salad bar course, so those were cold by the time the meat came around. The service was really good, though.
Anthony, it's disappointing to hear that your experience fell short, as we always want to deliver amazing moments. We will be in touch with you via direct message to address this matter.
Went with a few friends, was everyone’s first time and food and service was great, made a reservation via open table and was quick. Will definitely be going here again.. everything was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Thanks for a nice evening with friends .
Celebrated birthday with friends. Had to ask 3 different servers to get a straw for drink. Server was not very present. Experience was just okay.
We greatly enjoy celebrating birthdays with our guests, and we are sorry for not earning your complete satisfaction during your visit. We will be sure to reach out via direct message, in hopes of making this up to you. Thank you.
Had family in town - outstanding service, food and experience. Always a fun time at Fogo.
The experience would have been amazing if their outdoor lights worked and if they were more attentive to their outdoor dining guests. Food was great.
We’ve been to Fogo de Chao many times but this experience was awful. We were seated 45 min late and though we asked for menus and prices several times, the waiter would only recite options verbally and said he couldn’t recall the prices. We had to remind a waitress three times that we had ordered drinks, and they took a very long time to come. A gal in our party ordered salmon, and we also had to remind the waitress several times that we’d ordered it. By the time it came, everybody else was finished eating and she felt pressured to eat it in a rush. Overall, it was a terrible experience that cost a fortune.
We are saddened to learn of our team member's behavior, as you should always receive attentive service and never feel rushed. We'll be sure to send you a direct message shortly, as we'd love to regain your support.
Our favorite place to go! Everything was perfect for our 24th anniversary dinner. From the food to the service, that was a great choice!
As always FDC never disappoints. It’s amazing! Always feel pampered there.
I was surprised to see that the restaurant was at full capacity and there was not a lot of space left between tables.
Finally an improvement over the last two disappointing visits. service was improved meat was hot and better there was an adequate amount of quality beef instead of pushing the chicken on previous visit we had to ask for the beef today we only had to ask for the fillet rest of the meets were all good quality yes there was a lot of chicken but it was also a lot of steaks and beef.
We came here as late Mother’s Day celebration, food was great and so was the service. Can’t wait to go back!
Mother’s Day was expected to be a crowded day, but we got seated on time, thou it took some time for the meat to start to go around our table, Fogo delivered as always!
Was a great Mother’s Day!
