We loved it! And you can easily over eat here, so be aware! Service was amazing, and the grilled meats, and salad bar were great! Love that you can get smoked salmon and beets (two of my favorites) at the salad bar. A really fun experience!
Great visit with family and breaking bread makes it all better! Fago service and food quality is amazing.
Best experience ever!! Meat lovers join us!! I tried the shrimp and lobster for the first time, it is just amazing!! The Fogo Malbec is another great experience, followed by a Capirinha e Batida!! Yummmmy!! I highly recommend Fogo Portland
The meat is amazing and service was very good. They need more room. With everyone walking around there’s not enough space. They should also tell you if there is an extra charge for anything they are handing out (the pineapple drink was almost $12 for a small glass we thought was a tasting and don’t even finish)
The last server took away our utensils. We weren’t ready yet. His name was Joel I believe.
If ambiance and a relaxing dinner is what your seeking, Fogo de Chau isn’t the place.
If a continuing selection of steaks and meat is all you want this is your place.
Great service and delicious food. It was difficult not to get full off of the cheesy bread and buffet bar. And the bacon at the buffet was to die for. I wanted to eat the entire vat. Thank you Steve, the server with many musical talents. You were wonderful.
Service was very poor for the price you pay. Will not be going back.
This was our third time at Fogo de Chao. The first time our experience was great. Good service, the unique food. We had fun. The second time was lunch. The meat choices were not great and we kept getting missed by the servers. This time we weren’t offered meat sauces which would have helped significantly with the salty meat and we noticed meat - like ribs- running around but we never were offered them. I know it was crazy busy but they need a better system. The experience, for the price, was subpar and has lost its uniqueness. Not recommended.
We always love Fogo! There are so many foods to choose from even if you don't get the meat added option to the Market Table. Great place for groups or a special date with your special someone.
Always love getting the salad bar with so many offerings including proteins. Plus servers bring by complimentary garlic mashed potatoes and polenta.
Dinner can be quite expensive. Bartender suggested we come back for lunch since you can get the same prime cuts for a lower price. Wasn’t impressed with the bottle of Colomé Merlot we ordered. Always ask the server to bring you a specific cut that your party wants and they’ll bring it over to you happily. Overall, not bad but not great either. Services was fabulous, but the food and price point left something more to be desire....
Delicious food, but very pricey. Our server Joel was great - we were there to celebrate a birthday, and a good time was had by all!
Sylvie was amazing, as always! Best food ever! Overall, great place!
The food was really good, and overall a pretty nice service. I just have a complain.. I really liked the grill cheese and the cheese bread and I asked for more several times and they came to me when we were almost ready to go. At the beginning they were really attentive but after a round they forgot about us... overall the taste of everything was delightful
Far from a relaxing meal. I never mind paying for good food and good service but next time I want a steak, I’m going back to Morton’s or Ruth Chris. Better steaks, better service and I’m not interrupted every 3 minutes.
It is a fun place to eat. The atmosphere is lively and relaxed. The service by Sylvie save the day. We started with someone who was clearly new. Sylvie took over and then got much better. The cuts of meat are wonderful and lots of variety.
We finished off with the lava cake. Yum!
It was a wonderful experience and a wonderful way to spend my birthday.
Kept us waiting 20 minutes after we arrived even with a reservation. Wine list is an abomination with ridiculously overpriced wines - $12 retail wines going fir over $50. Very difficult to find anything worth buying on the wine list. Food was great as is expected from Fago. Overall a 4 star experience, but overpriced. Better value for money elsewhere.
Second time coming here, this time was even better than the first! Thank you to all the waiters who genuinely care about your satisfaction. Never seen anything like it. True quality, truly welcoming.
If you go for the full experience you will not be dissapointed. Buffet style with amazing tasting food. Definetely recommend.
Excellent food, great service. I did not however care how we were set up in between two tables it was a lot of traffic and disruptive at times during the meal.
Not only was the food outstanding, the service was fun! The ambiance was just right - not too stuffy, not too lax. As I was told by friends, the salad bar alone is worth the trip!
Upon arrival the hostess couldn’t locate my reservation. I answered multiple times my last name & first. She kept saying “got it. No worries”. However after 5-6min she asked my name again...
After total of 10minutes of checking in for 330pm reservation & the restaurant wasn’t busy at all. My boyfriend didn’t care for the table she offered, which was just next to the market bar...
Waited another 8-10min for a different table next to the window. Which was better however it was not quite clean seats...
We enjoyed our server Robert was there to greet us right away & attended to our table thru out our time there. Overall we’ve been there 3 times this year just doesn’t pair up to other location ie Las Vegas or Chicago. Their soup bar-carrot soup was cold, manager noticed later on & bought me a bowl from a new batch.
For what Fogo charges, I would expect better standard all around.
This is the second time we have been to this restaurant. The first time we went before 5pm and found the experience much more enjoyable. This time not so much. We went at .7pm and the place was packed with just about every seat taken. The design of the dining area has the tables so close together that you have to zigzag around them, without running into a server or a seat. Some should definitely rearrange the place.
As far as the food, it’s an unlimited meat, chicken, and other restaurant. The full experience includes a very well stocked salad station with lots of variety. I’m a meat person so that’s why we came. The come to the table and a server slices it right in front of you. As long as you have the coaster turned over to green they will continue to bring around the food. Turn the coaster to red and it means you are taking a break. Turn it back to green and we start all over again.
I think we will stick with going earlier to avoid the crowds.
We were very well taken care of by the host and waiters. The food was amazing, and priced well for the occasion and taste.
Much recommended for carnivores and meat fans! it was my third time, and i definitely knew what to expect.
with that, I would like the chefs to introduce something new and different, every now and then, so I wouldn't be having the exact same meal... but over all, much recommended! :-)
It was great. Service was great and servers were very friendly. Food was amazing and so were the drinks. Really enjoyed my dinner.
My only criticism was that the upcharge for select cuts of meat left us disappointed. the way the meat was cut left it less desirable that one might hope. Otherwise the experience was great!
Fantastic service, food, and ambiance. I will definately be coming back.
Always good food and good service. It’s our favorite place to go to!
Service could be better for the price tag (20 minutes wait despite our booking, 10-15 minutes to get our drinks etc)
That said it is a true churrascheria, with good atmosphere and all the food is really outstanding including the salad buffet and side dishes.
We asked several servers specifically for certain cuts of meat without success. This is unacceptable.
I'd have to say this has been my least favorite Fogo de Chao that I've been to and I've been to a lot of them. After we were done with our Market Table, we sat there with our green cards turned over for at least ten minutes.
We finally flagged down a manager to let him know. We did start getting meat coming to our table. The only issue, is they kept bringing the same cuts over and over again. We had to ask for other cuts that I have always thought were normal cuts.
I did like the ambiance of the restaurant. The lighting was good, the seats were comfortable and the decor was stylish.
One thing to be aware of is there is not complimentary valet parking. This is a downtown location, so finding street parking can be difficult. The only valet parking option is $12 and the restaurant does not validate.
Got there 10 before our reservation to check in. Wasn’t seated until 40 min later. Then had to wait at our table for 15 minutes before a serve came over.
It was very good. Just lengthy chek out
One of the best dining experiences I have ever had. I will definitely save up to come here again.
