Join us at Fogo de Chão® Portland, our first restaurant in Oregon, located in the heart of Downtown. We are in the historic Public Services Building steps from some of the area’s best entertainment venues and retail shops, & only a short walk to Pioneer Square. The restaurant showcases a beautiful dining room with seating for 250 guests and an outdoor patio.
Fogo de Chão is an authentic Brazilian Steakhouse (Churrascaria) that has been setting the standard in Brazil for the past 36 years. Today, our gaucho chefs still expertly grill and carve tableside each of our cuts of meat like Picanha (signature sirloin), Filet Mignon, Ribeye, Fraldinha (Brazilian sirloin) Cordeiro (lamb) & more. In addition to the main dishes, enjoy our gourmet Market Table, authentic Brazilian side dishes, & award-winning wine list. Guests can also choose to enjoy lighter seafood selections or enjoy the gourmet Market Table only option.
We also offer semiprivate and private areas up to 90 guests.

We had a fabulous experience. One of my better ones in Portland recently. The service staff were friendly helpful and knowledgeable. We will go back again soon!

Overall I had a fun experience. We went for my birthday on a Monday night. Started out ok our waiter forgot to bring water but it didn't take too long before I was able to ask another waitress to help us out. The service seemed to improve and the guys serving the meat did fantastic. However went back downhill towards the end of the meal, we waited forever to be asked about dessert and then we waited forever for dessert to come. Normally I wouldn't care but I just dropped almost 200 bucks to eat here so let's step the service up some. For what it's worth the tables around us seemed to have better luck so maybe us being young had something to do with it who knows....

We had a great time for our 12th anniversary dinner! For folks looking for keto options as well, how can you go wrong with this selection of meats? We will keep Fogo de Chao in mind for future visits - our dinner time discussion included that our son would really enjoy this experience.

We were very disappointed with our dinner. We had to ask to get sides and we were placed right in the back and the wait staff was complaining the entire time. I would suggest many other restaurants to go to before you go here.

I'll be up front and say that I do not eat beef or pork so I would never choose to go to this place. However, upon receiving a gift card I had to try it out. My partner and I ordered chilean sea bass and then were informed 10 minutes later that there was no sea bass available. So the only fish option left was salmon. The "market table" is a worse version of a salad bar. There is virtually no dressing and they claim that these are brazilian snacks: marinated mushrooms, marinated peppers, marinated cucumbers... But what are they marinated in?! They just taste like water. Every possible thing was left completely unseasoned, but the place is apparently too fancy to have salt and pepper on the table. The salmon was cooked pretty well, but it was flavorless and not served with any sauce. I understand it isn't a fish restaurant but I believe if you aren't going to do something right don't do it at all. Even seeing the meat go by, it all looked medium and bland. If you want $60 worth of meat just go somewhere and get a nice steak dinner. If you want to eat five pounds of pig and cow, then I guess this is the spot for you. However, in true chain restaurant fashion, the biscuits were amazing. Beyond belief honestly.

Overall experience was great! However, at check we were told at our seating time we would be called. We were directed to the bar by the host. As time past 8pm I decided to check and see if our table was ready. The host then tell me, that there was a 20-30 min delay and he’d text me when the table was ready. He could of informed me at the time of check in that there would be a wait from the actual seating time as well as letting us know that a text would be sent to notify us at the time of check in. Other than that, and the crowded area by the front door/bar. Service was excellent!

The waiting staff is excellent! The cocktails were meh. Even with reservations we had to wait a 1/2 hour. It was a busy weekend so that was hard for them. Too loud. Some of the options were really great some of the food options were just ok.

My husband and I had a reservation for 6:30pm for our anniversary. We checked in about 6:20 and proceeded to wait until 7:15 to get our table. The food was very good, but the lack of timeliness in getting us seated was not ideal.

Made reservations for 3 for Saturday at 6pm. We arrived about 10 minutes early and it was literally shoulder to shoulder, standing room only. I have never seen a place this busy. After waiting in line and checking in, we had to wait 45 minutes before being seated. If I’m going to pay a premium price at a restaurant, I expect premium service, to include being seated “somewhat” on time. It’s clear to me this place intentionally overbooks it’s reservations. I’ve eaten here a few times and never experienced anything like this... Very disappointed. Food was very good and service once seated was decent.

Terrible service!!! We were seated in the back corner next to the bus boy service area and the food servers rarely came around to offer food items. On top of that the waiter and bus boy were verbally arguing right in front of us. I could go on and on but not worth my time. Not worth the money!!!

Pro- Food is amazing, money well spent, desert are all good, I recommend the flan and cake. Lamb legs was my fav. They have a beer that like Guinness that was just as good.

Cons- check in can be louder calling names. maybe a tv screen with names that come on when table is ready?!? seating is a little tight. More structure on the salami and salad bar. it was hard to get in and pick things.

Restaurant was nice and food was good but price wasn't reflective of quality. The restaurant was very busy since it was the day after Valentine's Day so it may be indicative of why the food wasn't up to par. The service was a bit slow but steady. Some of the meat cuts were overcooked. We ordered cheesecake and it was still frozen. Not our best experience since we've been here before but I'm attributing it to the restaurant being busy.

This my 3rd visit and always had a wonderful experience. My boyfriend and I went on Valentine’s Day so it was his first time. Our reservations were at 9:30P and the restaraunt was overcrowded in the bar and people were standing outside. It was difficult to walk through the crowd to check in for out reservation. There were a lot of bumping into other people due being overcrowded. We waited close to an hour before we were seated. I felt the restaraunt wasn’t prepared or overbooked for the Hallmark holiday. It made by boyfriend’s first experience unpleasant for his first visit even though he enjoyed the food.

I realize that Valentine’s Day can be busy but this was terrible. We were packed like sardines waiting on our table to be available and struggled to hear names being called to get seated. We had a 9:15 pm reservation and finally got seated just before 10:30 pm. The server didn’t bother bringing the wine that I ordered to our table, at least they didn’t charge me for it. They also didn’t bring the standard sides to our table as they have done in the past. The overall experience was very poor and I was disappointed since I have had good experiences when eating here previously.

Our wait to be seated was about an hour after we checked in 10 min early to our reservation. Then after we waited a good 5-10 min for our server to get to our table. After he helped us out it was extremely hard to get a hold of him, we had to get the meat runners to chase him down. First to get some drinks , we waited like 10 min and he came back with no drinks he had forgott to get the drinks. We later asked for more bread and bananas 10
Min passed by and nothing. Even a chef from the kitchen walked out and passed by our table and waved the waiter down without us even asking to get us some bread. He said ok , 5 min passed by and nothing, we asked a meat runner if they can get us some bread etc. They waived the waiter down and let him know, we thought maybe finally after about the 6th time asking for bread banana a and palentta he would finally get it. We waited for a like a solid 10 min and he passed by our table and he brought us the check and said no rush. We where pretty tired to ask for anything else knowing that it was a mission the whole night to get anything so instead we just paid. The food was good just the service ruined the whole experience, we usually tend to go to fogo more than Brazilian grill up the road but this time we where shocked!

We went to Fogo de Chao on Valentine's Day and it was a very difficult evening for the staff as they were completely full and running 45 minutes behind on seating reservations. Despite that stress, and a number of very irate patrons, the staff were uniformly professional, polite, patient, and welcoming. The meal and the service was worth the wait and truly outstanding.

After making the reservation 3 weeks early knowing it was Valentine’s Day, the seating was an hour 15 minutes behind in seating us... not good service there, we checked in but the hostess was so overwhelmed she didnt tell us how we were to be contacted when our table was ready. There were customers mingling around from the back door to the front door all evening it wasn’t a good ambiance experience at all. It was so crowded. Most of the hot food was cold or over cooked. I would not recommend this place at all on any type holiday. Wasn’t worth the money spent.

Food was great! Request the beef ribs. Michelle, our waitress, was fantastic! Drinks are a little spendy but worth it; order the Coconut Creme. We went in for Valentines Day so it was super busy; MAKE RESERVATIONS. The atmosphere was chill so the hour wait didnt seem that long. The staff are very friendly even with the amount of people that were packed in. I would definitely go again.

Terrible experience! We had a reservation for 7:00pm. We were not seated until 7:55. After our server took our drink order we NEVER saw her again. We had to ask multiple times for the cut of meat we were looking for. It was a struggle to get anything but pork. The bacon ran out after we each got one small piece and was never refilled. No one ever stopped by the table to check if we needed drink refills or sides. At the end we waited easily 15 minutes for our bill and finally flagged down a manager. Definitely not worth the price! Huge disappointment!

The reservations were running an hour behind so we weren’t seated until an hour after our reservation. Then we hardly ever saw our waiter and had to ask three times and wait half an hour for our check to arrive. It was to chaotic and seemed very disorganized, in addition to being promised a voucher for buy one get one meal for dinning on Valentine’s Day which was never delivered. The food was great but the drinks were way over priced and the atmosphere and service was rather poor.

Our reservation was at 4:45. We arrived a few minutes early. It was so packed it was hard to check in. Once we did we found out through others around us that they were very far behind. After almost an hour I asked where they were and said they were seating reservations from 5-5:15. I had to show them where our name was on the list and that we actually had a reservation which was started unlike many others. I’m not convinced we would have been sat if I was not persistent. Food was excellent but service was terrible and my wine glass sat empty and I was not asked if I wanted anything else. Awful experience for a day that is supposed to be so special. Ruined the rest of my night.
