We were stuck at a table on the side. The meat servers didn’t get to our table most of the time. We had to wait for our food - with long awkward intervals between servings. The restaurant tried to compensate us for the poor service with 2 free deserts. That didn’t change the fact that service was poor and the dining experience was a very poor value for the price.
Regulars at Addison and Plano, very poor service - drinks were wrong, could not get the meat cooked as we like it, and the bananas/polenta tasted old - left over from lunch? Asked for specific cuts of meat and they never brought them. We had to ask for meat each time, never stopped at our table. Managers seemed uninterested in the customer's throughout the evening.
Beautiful restaurant and superb quality in service and food.
Attended to host a business meeting with a top client, and it was the perfect venue.
We got seated and waited about 40 mins before the first person to come around and provide service and after that no one came and our waiters would just pass our table and would check on the bigger parties beside us and we asked for our anniversary dessert and it never got to us
Early Sunday dinner was great. We were able to sit at the bar while waiting for the remainder of our party.
We went for brunch and this is normally my favorite brunch place but it was just sorta sizzler like this time. Not great service, too busy to keep the market bar full, nothing special seemed to be offered , waitress sorta non existent , crowded, and I’d like to see egg whites offered at the heated about Omelette bar. So I’ll admit we were disappointed - spending practically 100.00 dollars for a normal experience. We can get that somewhere else or at better at home. Seemed a lot of stuff was out of the can at the fresh bar too n meats for my guy were ok once we specifically asked for something the guy carrying it was really good about coming over with the rare version of it n giving plenty after. However , I’m veg/vegan n normally I’m happy here n just wasn’t at all this time.
Wasn’t what I thought it would be. Service was awesome but the meat was different.
Service wasn't even average. Way below what one would expect in a upscale restaurant. We had to wait way to long for our drinks(non-alcoholic) and then our waitress literally came by twice. To take out order and to drop off the bill. Had to ask other waiters for help with food and drink.
We have never been to this location, the one we usually went to was the one in Addison, that I believe is closed. The ambiance was nicer there, darker and more for dining, darker. Also they didn't have all of the selections of meat they usually offer. Ribs, different types of steaks etc. But it was still very good.
The food was up to our prior visit level. We asked to be seated in the quiet area, furthest from the door. It was nice & quiet until a large, loud party sat behind us and got louder and louder after drinking.
My only disappointment that was preventable was that the area we sat in did not get very frequent meat offerings. I sat about 20 minutes for my 1st offer of meat and the rest of the entree serving was about the same.
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The food was great. We really enjoyed the variety of the salad bar.
Britain, one of the wait staff, was exceptional. She made things happen and took excellent care of our table. I work for Frisco ISD and if she were to interview for absolutely any job, I would hire her on the spot. You are lucky to have her.
Re: the food. Several cuts of meat that were given to me were over cooked or full of hard to chew ligaments that should have been trimmed away. The staff routinely offered my husband a clean plate and asked how well done he wanted his meat. They NEVER asked me my preferences or offered me a clean plate. This was unfortunate because I was the one paying the bill, not my husband. I loved Britain. She made things happen and made sure the cuts that didn’t seem to be circulating in our direction got to us. but the rest of the servers underperformed and seemed a bit sexist. Our future Stan outings will be at Perry’s or Estilo Gaucho.
It felt like, because we were there for the Restaurant Week Special, they were less frequent with the meat and the server did not seem as enthusiastic after we told him what we wanted. The last thing that made me the most upset, is when we were given our check, the portable check out showed percentage for tipping, but it was off by quite a bit, because after I selected the percent value and paid the bill, the printed receipts that they gave to us showed the Tip amount base on our bill amount at the bottom and it was off by 7%. I didn’t think I need to double check such an establishment but I guess I will double check from now on if I ever consider going back.
First timers. Did not do the full unlimited experience. Had salmon, spouse sliced steak. Both were good but a bit dry. Salad/appetizer bar was exceptional. Lots of choices, all fresh and tasty. Carrot-ginger soup and apple salad were especially good. Helpful service. Pleasant atmosphere, modern and airy.
Always love Fogo, never had a bad experience. The Picanha, filet, pork loin, fraldinha, and chicken were excellent as usual. Tried the Feijoada this time, not bad. The sausage was good.
Drinks are always top notch, they know how to make a nice caipirinha with their house cachaca. 5 stars again. Would highly recommend to anyone.
The service was the worst I have ever had anywhere. We would ask for clean plates and they would remove half of ours and never return with new ones while leaving the dirty plates in place. This happened 3 separate times. We finally got up and got our own clean plates. Food was cold and meats were dry. No waffles on brunch table yet you had waffles listed in menu. Drinks were never refilled not even once and when we kept asking for our bill, no one came and then we realized the entire staff including the manager were all seated in the middle of the restaurant eating!
We have been coming to FOGO for 20 years now for every special occasion and New Years but will never ever return. The chairs and floors were also filthy!
Absolutely fantastic. I go every time im back in town and every time i leave absolutely satisfied.
Excellent as always. Service was exceptional, thank you cherrell.
Always been my favorite fogo de chaos but this location in Plano wasn’t as I always expected from them for several times but this time it was perfect as I use to get from them, keep the good work!
The vibrant atmosphere both in the bar and dining room is well done with plenty of natural light. Every single person working here seems friendly and proud to be there! The service is absolutely the best here!
Dining at Fogo is outstanding! No matter your appetite or diet, you’re going to enjoy it! I love that they have plenty of options, from casual apps and drinks is at the bar to just a loaded salad bar experience to a carnivore’s delight! The salad bar isn’t just a few greens - it’s loaded with salads, meats, cheeses, fruits, candied bacon and more.
There are also levels to the gaucho experience of table served meats. You get the stop (red) and go (green) coasters to signal to the servers if you’re ready for meats and can request specific cuts and indicate the way you enjoy them to be cooked. The servers are very attentive to your requests! They also serve several hot sides with your meats including mashed potatoes and polenta.
If you haven’t experienced dining at Fogo, connect with their enthusiastic team and check it out!
PSA: they have great specials going from time to time. This summer they have some deals at the bar area with groups and provide bar apps for you complimentary.
When you want a Brazilian steakhouse dinner, Fogo is the prototype. EXCELLENT!
I started out with a friendly and attentive waiter, but towards the end of my dinner, he was nowhere to be found.
I had to wait a while to get attention from any server to bring me my check. When I requested a printed copy of receipt, it never came. So I had to ask another waiter to bring it . Toilet stall had absolutely no toilet paper in it. For an evening where it was absolutely not busy at all, the service was Disappointing. For an upscale restaurant, I expect washrooms to be fully stocked at 5:30 pm.
Our waiters, Alicia and Keshawn, were very kind and tentative. They were supportive of our celebration and made the evening feel very special.
The food is awesome and there is a huge variety if you have someone who doesn’t eat much or any meat. The market table has a wide selection of vegetables, fruits and salads. The cheese bread that they serve at your table is very tasty as well. For the carnivores there are many different cuts of beef, pork, lamb, chicken and sausage.
The choices also rotate with the seasons so that you can get the best produce. We usually go for our birthdays across the year.
The staff works together as a team making it very easy for you to find someone to help if you are looking for a particular item. They are all very knowledgeable and helpful. I give them 5 stars as well.
The service was very good. Everyone was friendly. Much of the meat was dry and had no spices or flavor. There was no seafood option other Brazilian steakhouses that we have been to have had more of a variety with a seafood option to go along with the meat service. We may give it one more try.
Service was attentive but over the top. Waitress hovered over me finishing a piece of pineapple to provide me with a clean plate. When suggested that she come back in a minute, she said “It’s OK” and stayed anyway. Very annoying. She was curt and cited policy when we asked if we could take the free plantains from the table with us. A delicious treat that was provided to gonin the end, but not worth her drama. This is the 3rd time I have been here for lunch and every time we have some issue. Avoid it. There are better places at Legacy West!
We celebrated my daughter’s birthday at Fogo de Chao. The food was so delicious and the meat was so tender. The staff was so friendly and attentive. The restaurant is beautiful. We will definitely be back!
Some of the cuts of meat were a bit dry and overcooked. The waffle iron was not working. Some of the salad bar items were not available.
We had to wait about 30 minutes from when we checked in for our 7:30 reservation to be seated, which isn't too big of a deal, it's a Saturday night and they had a lot of large parties. My parents and I sat at the bar and had a drink while we waited. My only complaint was there were only 2 bartenders (that I could see) working. For a restaurant as big as Fogo, and for how busy it was, they should have had more bartenders. Once we sat down our server Alejandra was WONDERFUL! She was bright and happy and went out of her way to ensure my parents and I had the best experience possible. All of the managers were extremely friendly and made sure all of our favorite cuts and sides were coming our way.
Service was miserable.. I’m a regular at Fogo, and this location did not match their normal. Very disappointed
Go hungry the food is delicious and the service was excellent! Looking forward to going back!
I spent my birthday here and it was amazing. My first steakhouse and the bar is definitely set high
We had never been, but highly recommend. The food and service was fantastic. Make sure and come very hungry...allot of food to sample!
The food was excellent, service was great and the atmosphere was refined yet casual (very comfortable).
THis was my second bad experience at this location. THe meats were not well seasoned and typically under cooked or at the other extreme and dried up. Also the signature meat cuts only came out twice and only tiny cuts were offered. The emphasis was on filling us with cheaper cuts and sausage, I felt rippef off.
What an abysmal experience. When the server freely acknowledges that he is giving you horrific service, you know something is wrong. We have been frequent guests of Fogo over the years. In fact, we even celebrated Mother’s Day there, this year. Sunday night was as bad as it gets. The manager ended up comping our meal after spilling a glass of water on me. We will not be back.
Food was great and Miguel's service to our table was outstanding.
The meat was incredibly slow and few and far between. I have been to Fogo across the country over 50 times (second time to this location) and this was one of the worst dining experiences I have had there. I requested certain meets at least 15 times. And when it finally did come out they went to different tables first. We have other similar Brazilian restaurants in the area and they are significantly better.
Just did not love that our table was right next to a cart full of dishes and where the staff would go to get things they needed. Otherwise, perfect.
