No one explained the different cost levels nor did they inform us about the restaurant month special; although, ended up getting the special which included dessert. The waiter kept saying do is everyone getting the Fogo experience, which of course was the most expensive selection. The happy hour prices for the drinks are definitely a bargain.
Belated Mother’s day
If you are starving, living a low carb lifestyle and want to feast out with friends. This is the place for you.
I wrote a review privately to you. Thank you
Unfortunately, we will not be returning.
Not the best performance or food. I guess we went on an off day. Hopefully it doesn't become the norm.
Great night out with mom for mother’s day. Great food and service. Best key lime pie I have ever had.
We waited sooo long for drinks from the bar it took 30 mins for beer and wine. I guess I shouldn’t complain about that, it probably saved our group 100s of dollars. Also, our table was extremely close to the one next to us but a lot of room On the other side. They need to set it their room better. Finally the meet was either raw or well done, most of the time, way over cooked. Not a lot of medium, how most people like it. The salad bar was good and the meat that was cooked appropriately tasted great.
Everything was enjoyable except the feijoada. I mention that because it was delicious the last time. This time, however, it had no flavor. It seemed like they just opened a can of black beans and dumped them in the tray. I told the host this. I really had my heart set on the feijoada. The cooks need to follow the recipe.
Overall, a very good experience. Food was terrific, food service was terrific, beverage service was marginal.
Although they did not have my table ready till 20 minutes after my booking, the staff was helpful and friendly especially the bar tender
Slow service. The server forgot our table’s drink orders. The gauchos were rude.
This is one of our favorite restaurants in Pittsburgh!! We have been here almost 25 times since they opened!!!
I have always just eaten lunch there and had the market table. It is worth the $15. There is a great selection of food and if you can’t find enough to eat then shame on you. Each time I have been there the service has been great. You can ask any server for whatever you want, they all seem to service all tables.
Great Food and service. Second time going a third is in the works.
Very disappointed. Had to continually ask for certain cuts of mean to be brought to the table. The buffet was not stocked all the time and not great assortment.
The wait staff was sarcastic and slow. The Market Table was empty most of the visit. This was a problem because 2 of the people in our party ordered the Market Table and had basically nothing to eat- when the manager was notified of this his response was we’d have to wait as they were busy. Took forever to be served and they were out of dessert - was told “come back tomorrow for the dessert you ordered- it’s frozen” and then took 25 minutes to get the check. They meT servers walked by our party on a regular basis but didn’t stop at table even though cards flipped to green.
It was great!
Dinner was good. I was there for my birthday. Beginning of the service there was wait staff helping us everywhere. But then I noticed something floating in my water. Someone took it away (looked like manager) but never brought a new one. It took me almost 10 minutes just to get someone to stop at my table after that. Finally after 20 minutes I received a new drink. The service needs to be consistent throughout the entire dinner, beginning to end. Other than that the food was good.
I guess I ordered the wrong thing - when you go to a restaurant known for meat, you should get meat. But I ordered salmon and it was just ok - on the dry side w/ really no seasoning at all. The people with me who had meat liked their meals. I also don’t love the buffet table concept - particularly when there are no covers over the food and people are milling around grabbing things. I thought the service was ok - attentive but the server did forget to put in our wine order and had to be reminded. And the wine prices are outrageous! My summary = trying to be fine dining but really just a glorified buffet for the most part.
Outstanding. You have to try the special prepared cuts such as the parmesan encrusted loin, garlic steak, and the lamb, oh the lamb... butter!
Great food and fantastic market bar. Great pricing. Server was a little bit lackluster but I don’t blame the restaurant for that. Gauchos were ever present offering more meat. I will definitely go back!
Definitely the best Brazilian restaurant in the city.We have been to quite a few over the years, here and other cities. And I think Fogo has the best meat quality. But what really makes this a 5 star choice is its staff.I was very impressed with the staff which can also be attributed to great management.Everyone goes above and beyond to make sure you have a great meal. Quality food and quality people make a great combination.
Food and service was great. I recommend Fogo to all!
The food was good for large amounts of meat being served, the service was amazing. Will definitely return.
After 25 minutes of getting the same 5 meats we inquired what was going on with the 12+ meat choices to find out that they extended restaurant week and those who didn’t ask for the discount were expected to “ask” when they wanted the other meats!
Horrible...we were full by the time we were told that, but were still charged full price. 2nd chance given to the Pittsburgh Fogo and final.
Service was terrible. Our food was ok but we bought the $50 package with promises of great meats but we never got any, just the basic stuff we could’ve got for $40. I waited at least 20 minutes before someone came over and asked if I wanted another glass of wine. I was celebrating my birthday and wish I would’ve went to one of the many steak houses in the city.
Had a absolutely wonderful time last night for dinner! We went before a show! This was my third time coming and I have yet to have a bad experience! Food was absolutely delicious and the staff was super friendly! Of course I will be back again!!
Absolutely delicious! Been to Fogo several times, and every time, service is good, food is amazing. The caramelized bacon is a must-have, and the beef is always perfect. Will definitely be back!
Beautiful restaurant. Very modern and elegant. Nice atmosphere, but don't judge a book by its cover... Paid the "premium" price to have the "premium" meats. We never saw the premium meats our entire meal until we asked and then it took 20 minutes. By that time it was too late. Our server knew this and never even bothered to ask, actually she avoided our table. Someone 15 minutes later asked if we wanted desert. 30 minutes went by and still no desert. Probably the worst service we had ever received at a restaurant. Spending @ minimum of $90 per person I feel that the service should be above average. Texas De Brazil and Rioz makes this place look like a Burger King. In fact service at Burger King might be a little better.
Everything from the hostess, the barmaid, the servers and the gauchos were wonderful. The cheese puffs were to die for and the lamb was fabulous. The market table had lots of variation and was delicious as well.
Fogo De Chao is an up-scale chain. The dining room is large - they are expecting crowds. There is a bar with a happy hour menu. We arrived on a Tuesday at 5:00, 45 minutes before our reservation, so we could have a drink at the bar. We could not get served. There was only one bartender and no other bar staff we could see. We waited 10 minutes, then asked to be seated at our table even though we were early, hoping a server would come and take our drink order. At that time, the restaurant was not full, although there was one large party in a private dining area (maybe why the bar was so busy). We sat at our table and the waitress gave us the cocktail menu. We asked for the happy hour specials but was told we could not order them at our table. So we ordered full priced drinks, a martini and a specialty Brazilian cocktail. Ten minutes later, the waitress came back and said there were no olives for the martini. We agreed to a twist. We waited. We got our drinks at 5:40. In the meantime, we were given a plate of warm mashed potatoes and a plate of warm plantains. We had not yet ordered food, so we asked them to take these dishes back and re-serve them once we were eating. They were re-served to us right after we received our cocktails and we again asked them to wait. We never again saw those dishes. When we ordered second drinks, some 45 minutes later, we were told there was no tonic available. The food is good, by the way, and plentiful. The service needs a lot of work.
I actually bought gift cards from FDC and gave them for Christmas gifts. We eat a plant based diet and I have to say that your Market Table is the BEST IN THE CITY!!! There is an excellent selection on the market table and it is always fresh and delicious. The service at Fogo is always outstanding.
It was amazing. Great food and staff made this place a great one. I will definitely be returning to it
Great food and drinks. Ambiance was the best
Waited 20 minutes to be seated even though we had a reservation. Found the staff pleasant, but it was confusing because they all shared the duty of waiting on all tables, so we weren't sure who to ask when we needed something. We had a decent time and the food was good, but nothing about this experience impressed me. Very mediocre all-around. And I'm sorry, there were a million empty tables, we should have been seated immediately with a reservation. Nothing to write home about. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anybody, but if someone asked me about it, I'd tell them "it was fine." Meh.
From start to finish it was a great time and a perfect meal. The drinks were delicious. The staff and service were outstanding. The food is amazing. Wear stretchy pants!
I think this is a great restaurant for people who like to eat beef and pork. They seemed to have many different varieties of beef steak. I'm not a beef or porker eater so I can't say how they taste. However the lamb and chicken were very good! I wasn't too impressed by the salad bar. It seemed like it was missing something. No bread was given with our meal. I was there for brunch so maybe that's why.
Went today for my daughters birthday brunch. The food was delicious as always would highly recommend trying the brunch the spicy/sweet bacon was amazing! Servers were very attentive never waited for drinks, clean plates, or sides. We were asked what type of meat we wanted and they made sure we were taken care of. They gave my daughter her favorite cheese cake for desert on the house. Will definitely be going back.
Same 4 meats offered over and over until an hour later when we saw chicken and lamb for the first time. For 49.99, their highest offering you expect more compared to other Brazilian Steak houses
Food was great as usual but the service was awful this time.
