Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse - Orlando Ratings and Reviews
Absolute madhouse the night we went, you could not hear yourself think and could hardly walk around it was so packed with people. They clearly don't keep this particular Fogo a place for a fine meal. Felt like I paid $170 for drinks. The service was poor the night we were there. They asked if you had special requests, and brought the meat list. I asked for lamb twice with both waiters and no one ever brought it. Won't go back to this location.
Great wine list and meat combination. Wine marked up 100%, which is not too bad. The meat was perfect, and salad/condiments/cheese bar was excellent. Very pricey, especially with 4 kids. They should have noticed my picky eater and offered something different for her. She did not eat $50 worth of food. Overall excellent.
We were in vacation and went to the Orlando location, food was awesome the staff were great and the White Sangria was to die for!!! Had a small incident with one of the sauces however had immediate assistance with the manager, which showed attention to detail and customer satisfaction.
You must get the beef ribs. I didn't know they existed, and when I tasted these succulent pieces of fatty beef, I fell in love. I would also recommend that you ask the server what is being brought around to tables. I always seem to forget when at these types of places, that in order to get the best bang, you have to request the foods you want, not just wait on the meats on a stick to come by.
Picanha and beef ribs is all you need to know.
Our server was Tyler and he was great until he disappeared. There were two meats that smelled rancid when they were served and other meats were not seasoned well. Additionally, here was a lady with a vacuum vacuuming around the customers. We had to ask constantly for meats, as by the middle of our lunch every worker was gone. When we asked for a meat at the end the gaucho gave us a dirty look and never brought it. The whole meal felt rushed and was unpleasant. In conclusion, we will never return, nor recommend this place.
We were disappointed in the quality of the food and the service. While the concept is unique it does not seem to work well at this location. Even when your disc indicates you do not want food, the servers are trying to serve you. When you ask for rare meat you often get well done. Not sure if the waiters just don't care or do not speak English.
We had experienced this chain in Atlanta a few years ago and had a very good experience, this location did not live up to that experience or our expectations.
Food was awesome. all of the meat came out at a perfect temperature and the sides were delicious. Service was outstanding. Waiters are very attentive until they drop off the bill. So, just make sure you are completely done before they give you the bill or they may be hard to wave down as they are super busy.
My wife and I decided to to an impromptu "weekend getaway" in Orlando. We usually stay away from Int'l Drive but this time decided to check out Fogo de Chao; what a GREAT decision!
Bottom line: MEAT
If you love meat, you'll LOVE this concept. This was our first time going to a Brazilian steakhouse... we're addicted!
Great food, great atmosphere... a great experience!
Come prepared (hungry), don't waste too much effort on the Market Table (but it's tough not to), and keep tabs on your "service card" - it you forget to flip It to red, be ready for rapid-fire meat selections (in a beautifully delicious way).
Drinks at the bar and some snackage there was quite good, and paired with good service.
At dinner, however, service was not very good. It took asking midway through the meal for the side items to be brought out, and only two items were even brought out then ( mashed potatoes and sweet plantains).
The meat was, as always, good. The salad bar likewise has a tasty selection.
Wine choices are fairly extensive and priced in the "not terribly stupid" range.
We've certainly had better service and experiences other branches of this chain.
