Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse - Orlando Ratings and Reviews
It was great for my husband who was eating meat but I chose the cold bar and my son did not eat at all...we were both charged for a full meat service meal. he is 7 so his was "only" $27, ha for one piece of bread with butter. Completely over priced but no one was around to ask about the bill. Drinks were quite over priced as well. But what I had to eat was fantastic...but the price would be a deterrent.
From previous experience with this well run chain I expected to be well feed and in that was not disappointed! What I didn't expect was the superlative service from the entire staff. Our group of 9 presented challenges ranging from dietary to youngsters (2 early teen, 1 infant in arms). Our waiter smoothly and efficiently handled each curve we pitched while making us feel as if none of these were really challenges. We felt welcomed and well served as well as well feed (#meat coma).
Superior service. Outstanding quality food but you pay for it. Complimentary valet parking was a huge plus. Noise level sometimes made it difficult to carry on a conversation or hear the waiter at the end of the table. All in all, Fogo has been and remains one of our favorite places to take groups for special occasions.
I’ve been before and sat near the hot bar, and honestly had a better experience the first time than tonight. We were put into the back right room near a waiter station and it seemed like our cards were green but they were all walking past us. We watched several sets of meats come out and be shared around the room but our table had no luck for getting several cuts of meat even after asking. As someone who lives local, and loves this style of Restaurant I was never disappointed that I only got one cut of meat.
Celebrated our anniversary and was not disappointed. Better than the first time we were here several years go. Salad creation bar was amazing and it was nice to taste all the flavors of the different meats. My favorite were the lamp chops. They even gave us a special dessert of strawberries and ice cream.
Service service service!!!!! My husband and I go out to eat a lot, especially when we’re on vacation—and now with a four month old newborn eating out can sometimes be challenging. Besides the food being spectacular, I really have to mention the ‘out of this world’ service we were given today. Yes this is a more elegant dining area (maybe not so baby friendly) but our baby is well behaved (for the most part) so we’re confident in taking him out to settings such as Fogo.
The management continuously asked us if we were okay, after seating us in a stroller friendly area — the waiters kept bringing out meat and various side dishes. They were extremely patient when I had to step out to nurse my baby, and they were extremely patient during the end of the lunch hours (since we did reserve the last seating for lunch hours). Did not feel rushed whatsoever, even though they were getting ready to close for dinner.
Yes the food was good. The salad bar had a nice variety of options. Yes the ambiance was nice—but nothing tops the service !!!
Thank you Fogo team. We can’t wait to come back!
Having been to several Fogo restaurants throughout the US, I was excited to see one in Orlando. Generally they are a good location to have group dinners which was perfect for a night out with colleagues. The service was excellent as usual, but I thought the food was lacking in flavor. Not sure if it’s because this is more of a tourist destination or not. There are other Brazilian steakhouses in the area to choose from if you’re not sure about this one.
Food started out great along with service. Waiters and servers quickly forgot about us. The restaurant was not that busy. We were finished with our meal table was cleared of everything and it took over 45 mine to get our check and then another 20 mine to get it picked up. Second time visiting this restaurant and I won’t repeat.
Wait was long even though we had reservations. However, customer service, great food and nice atmosphere made up for the long wait. It was my husband and I first time going out since the birth of our 1st child and it turned out to be an awesome date night. The food was so good and our table was constantly checked on. Customer Seevice was 5 stars!!!
Food was decent but nothing spectacular. Felt like we weren't being offered all of the meats that were listed on the menu. We kept seeing the same 5 things come around. Salad bar was great, but overall food quality was just ok. I would not pay full price for it. Service was lacking. I ordered a glass of HOUSE red wine after the wine lists were removed from the table and when I could track down our server...the wine ended up being $14!
Don't bother making a reservation. They will put you on the same list as walk-ins. I proactively made our reservation for 7pm as we would be there with our toddler and waiting is difficult. We were seated at 7:45pm only after we spoke to the manager. A 45 minute wait with a toddler ruined our experience.
This is, hands down, my new favorite place! I've been to 3 "other" Brazilian steakhouses and after visiting, Fogo de Chao, my mind is made up; I will never go back to any of those other "wannabes"!! The service was impeccable, the craft cocktails at the bar were delicious and, Andrew, the bartender was great! Our server was fantastic, but he was by far NOT the only staff member that visited our table multiple times throughout the evening! This place is a well oiled machine; we never wanted for anything!! Everyone was so friendly and more than happy to assist in any way! In regards to the food (the different choices of succulent lamb, the Parmesan crusted pork, the garlic steak, the marinated mushrooms, the fresh & perfectly seasoned asparagus...the list goes on), it was absolutely to die for!! All of the meets were perfectly seasoned, perfectly juicy and the salad bar was the perfect accompaniment to this cohesive explosion of flavor's throughout the night! My best friend and I were celebrating my birthday and WOW, WHAT A TREAT!! I think that we ended up being there for over 2 1/2 hours, just enjoying the food & a beautiful bottle of wine, while we caught up on our busy life stories, all while surrounded by a lovely, comfortable environment with a nice, modern twist. I could sit here all night and talk about how amazing this place is, but I'm going to make it nice and simple... Do yourselves a favor and GET THERE IMMEDIATELY!!!! Thanks for an awesome birthday, Fogo de Chao!!! We will definitely be back, again and again!!!!
To start off, they sat us at a nice table for 2 against the wall. A server greeted us and took our wine order and explained the buffet and invited us to help ourselves. We went up to the buffet and after about 5 minutes we returned to our table to discover that they had pushed several other tables together with ours to form an 8 top and they were busy preparing the table for a large party. So there we stood (looking confused) in the middle of the restaurant with our plates of salad in our hands and no table. About a minute later our server noticed our puzzled looks as we stood there and said, "Oh ya...we moved you over here...Sorry about that" and gestured to another table in the middle of the restaurant literally right next to the buffet. I worked in restaurants for years back in the day, so I understand that they needed that table for a large party, but it was handled terribly. No manager even stopped by to apologize for the mix up or offer us a complimentary beverage for the inconvenience. Then a new server came, didn't introduce himself, but apparently we were now in his section?
On a positive note, the flavor of the meat was excellent and there was a nice selection of salad/appetizer items. Unless you tend to overindulge at buffet restaurants though, you will never come close to getting your money's worth since they charge $52 per person. The hot side item selection was meager at best. The tables were extremely close together and the staff were literally running the entire time which created a stressful environment all around.
We opted for the Magical Dining at $35, but by doing that we were not offered any of the premium meats like filet mignon, ribeye, etc. If you are just going to deny the customer the premium meats so that you can offer a lower price, that defeats the purpose of Magical Dining...what is magical about that? As long time Orlando residents we are frequent Magical Diners and their competitors offer a much better deal.
