    Had reservations for 7pm. At 730 I had to insist we be seated as walk ins that arrived after us were getting seated. The young inexperienced hostess was quite rude about it. Was not an enjoyable experience, will not return to this location in Naperville.

    Still a nice dining experience - though not as it was pre-Covid. Service was very attentive; present, but not intrusive or absent - the right amount of attention. There when or before you needed it, but not after. Wonderful to have our water glasses tended to as they were. Market table offerings were still good, but gone were some of the offerings like chicken salad, bread, and a few other things. I don’t know if this is due to the Sunday Brunch service or whether it’s a cost thing, felt like the latter. Not everything was labeled either; there should be no doubt or uncertainty on offerings. While I can’t comment specifically on the meat experience (we only had an entree/Market Table) - what we saw presented to others looked good. Restaurant cleanliness appears to be something slipping and warranting managerial attention. I understand the task of keeping bathrooms tidy - especially with the numbers of brunch customers on a weekend. That said - the bathrooms warrant a bit more steady maintenance to keep the floors clean and dry. And on a prior visit - we noted an outside planter being used as an ashtray - full of discarded butts - not really the most appetizing thing to see upon entry to the restaurant. Please - details like this matter. Also new this time was one of the staff members offering menu add-ons such as the Shrimp cocktails (which looked awesome) and specialty drinks. We were halfway expecting him to walk around with shaved ice desserts around the 7th inning - much like our local ballpark. Any convenience offered by this I think is more outdone by the cheapening of the Fogo dining experience. In my opinion it wasn’t necessary to hawk Fogo’s add-ons like this - more than anything it cheapened the Fogo experience for us. At sixty-something bucks a crack for the prime-time full dining experience - this is neither necessary or appropriate. Tell the bean counters to stop it. You’re harming the Fogo brand, you’re cheapening it.

    I’ve been to Fogo de Chao several times as well as a few other Brazilian Steakhouses. I honestly feel like the last 2 years the quality and level of service has decreased. The meat was good, but not exceptional and there was a lot more chicken (breast’s, thighs, and legs), as well as pork vs. the higher end meats like filet, ribeye,and their specialty. I enjoyed it, but feel quality and service have gone down some.

    Joseph was our server and he was excellent. He explained the concept with the card you flip for meat. We always had water and bread at our table. The guys serving meat were attentive and always at our table when needed. You guys did a great job.

    We had a delicious meal. I like that there are several servers per zone checking on their tables. We were never out of drinks or sides. They also continued asking what our favorite meats were and kept having those meat servers sent to our table. The food was amazing. We also indulged in their desserts - those were just as exquisite. It is an expensive meal but between the servers and delicious food - the price makes a lot of sense.

    It took 30min to get the two cocktails we ordered. A few of the salad bar items were okay but overall the food was bland. All of the meats were flavorless and most of them were dry. Highlight of the meal was the grilled cheese (not a sandwich, literal pieces of grilled cheese drizzled with honey). When we were first seated, there was a large bottle of spring water at the table and the server casually asked if we wanted still or sparkling water. I was not aware that they charged you for both options. I found it tacky and deceiving that they don't mention upfront that the water is an additional cost. We ended up spending $15 on one bottle of spring water and a small bottle of sparkling water... absolutely ridiculous. Won't waste my time or money here again.

    We had 2 waitresses assigned to our table. One was very friendly and efficient. She was consistently checking on us and filling our water glasses. The other young lady was busy talking with her 2 friends that were sitting at the table next to us. Thankfully, we had the other waitress that took care of us!

    We have been going to Fogo for over two decades and it’s typically excellent. However, much of the experience depends on the service. On this occasion our waiter was mediocre. We had to ask for drink refills twice, they did not attend our table in the way Fogo is famous for doing. The waiter offered us the $39 meat option but we asked for the premium $62 option, then had to specifically ask for premium meats be brought to the table after 20 minutes of everting but premium meats. I have probably eaten at Fogo on 100 occasions thru the years and this was near the bottom of those experiences.

    We received little to no service at dinner. Pulled a server to ask if they knew who was our server after waiting for 15 min. He tried to help by getting our drinks. There was one quick rush of serving meats. And then nothing. Once again had to pull another server for the check. Charged us incorrectly and had to wait again another 15-20 min for them to correct and pay. I’ve never had such a bad experience before at a restaurant.

    The best brunch buffet in town. I like churrascarias. I normally go to another restaurant for churrascaria dinner, but I really enjoy brunch at Fogo de Chao. I would even come here to enjoy the buffet table without meat. Since we usually choose full churrascaria experience, I do not eat a lot from the buffet, but it is the best around.
