We've been coming to Fogo for many years. We have even been on a first name (almost) basis with staff. I'm sorry to say that our last few visits were not very great. When we starting visiting Fogo years ago, the service was impeccable. Your water glass never got below half. You couldn't keep up with the meat offerings, and your sides never grew cold. That has sadly changed, and not just because of COVID. This has been happening for a while. On our last visit, we were not greeted at the table by a server at all. When someone did stop by to see if we needed anything, and we made our request for a particular cut of meat for instance, it never came until we asked a few times. I had to ask where my menu-ordered entree was twice because it didn't come after 20 minutes. We had to ask for more sides and they didn't show up for a long time. Our dessert order was lost and we had to re-order. Then, when the check came, it was incorrect - twice. I really hope management reads these reviews, because we are long time customers and we really hope things will go back to the way they used to be. In the meantime, I think we will be looking at other options when visiting Minneapolis.

We went for restaurant week which is a HUGE value! Loved the salad bar and dessert! The meat was great also but service was kind of spotty. We had some wait time. The restaurant was packed so that is one reason for my lower review. We still have COVID restrictions that need to be respected. Overall we loved it but were a little uncomfortable with the crowd.
Anther outstanding meal at Fogo de Chão! As always, the food was delicious. But what Fogo does that other restaurants can’t imitate is the level of service. Every server, busser, gaucho and manager is kind and is there to make sure that your experience is exceptional. The salad bar always has new and delightful options. We feasted on all of the meats including our favorites pichana and lamb. We ended the meal with the chocolate Brigadeiro cake, which was to die for! We can’t wait to plan our next trip back to see Matt, Fernando and the rest of the team!
Huge failure at social distancing guidelines. Food was ok but not great. Servers were slow at bringing food. Overall just a mediocre experience so we probably won't return.

Service was pathetic. I had to ask for the item multiple times and wait for a long time. We all had to spend 2 hrs. Food was very salty. Overall, I and my family didn't enjoy

At one point our plates set empty for 15 minutes while we waited for servers to come around. Not exaggerating, we timed it.

For some reason this time around it didn’t feel like usual dining. They were over packed it seems like for Covid regulations. We were seated towards the back of the restaurant to the left so meats weren’t even coming out like experiences we’ve had before and when they did the cuts we wanted were gone and it took them awhile to come back. There was a time during our dining where nothing came to our table for like 10-15 mins. I rather go to Grill Hall in Maple Grove where their service is exceptional and they do practice the social distancing with even seating.

Went during restaurant week and outstanding as always. I really love how the restaurant practiced safe precautions for covid and socially distanced the dining tables and how staff wore masks at all times and patrons when they weren't eating/drinking. The food and experience were excellent!
wasn't our favorite experience. It was extremely busy, there was really no distancing which made my parents a bit uncomfortable since you had to touch other people to get out of your chair. We were there 2 and a half hours and sometimes sat there for 10+ min waiting for someone to come to our table with food. also, when we were done we started seeing all sort of items that were never offered to us.
Kima, we don't take your disappointment lightly, as we always want our guests to leave happy and wanting more. It is our hope that you visit us down the line, as we'd love the chance to deliver you a better time.
I have heard people rave about the food. Service, I sat waiting for meat to come around time after time and left still hungry. Waiter poured sparking water and neglected to tell us that’s something they we have to pay for.... I don’t even like sparkling water and ended up paying for this. Never got my cheesecake that was supposed to be included with the meal. All in all not an experience I was expecting and very disappointed in the service.
It's disheartening to learn we let you down, as you should never leave our establishment hungry. We'd love the chance to deliver a better experience, so when you're willing, visit us again.
Great! Service was fantastic and when a drink took too long, they comped it even without being asked. Also gave us a free desert for our occasion.

The waiter who was assigned to our table did not greet us. He randomly stopped as he was flying by our table to ask us if we were waiting on our drinks. We had not ordered drinks (or been greeted) at that time. He then took our drink order and mumbled information about the salad bar. We had some salad bar items, then waited for over 15 minutes for meat options to arrive at our table, meanwhile the tables around us had been served multiple options during this time. This service continued throughout our dining experience- servers passing by our table as if we did not even exist. At one point, I had to ask another waiter to come to our table so we could put in a request for meat options. She was pleasant, but we again waited over 20 minutes with no service. She and others walked by our table numerous times. The tables around us continued to be waited on, greeted, servers and waiters laughing and carrying on conversations with them. The table directly next to us received what looked like top-notch service, from what we could tell, and multiple managers stopped by to greet them. We even noticed one manager look at us during his conversation with the table, to fully ignore that we were sitting idle with no food on our plates. Finally, after waiting for excessive time, I had to again ask the female server to come to our table so we could get our bill. It then took over 15 minutes to pay our bill and leave. While I recognize that Restaurant Week may bring in less revenue, the event is promoted all throughout the restaurant and it was my understanding that this opportunity may bring in repeat customers. Our experience had the complete opposite impact, and we are appalled at how we were treated, the lack of service and respect, and baffled at the ignorance that multiple Fogo de Chao employees demonstrated by their actions.
There should never be any lack of service on our part, so we truly apologize for such an experience. We take your words seriously, and we hope you award us a second chance in the future.
One of the men who brought the meat out was very rude and over all 90% of them weren’t friendly. The servers were very polite. Also, we waited for filet Mignon and didn’t end up gettin it until the very end of meal.
The brunch was great! Love the salad bar offerings and the omelet was very good. The bloody Mary took me by surprise with the Brazilian rum-very strong. Very accommodating for our large party with a few small children-much appreciated!
No Covid-19 protocols in place here. Tables are close together and packed with people. Salad bar has no social distancing or compliance to ensure proper and safe use. I’m not sure how the city is allowing this place to operate like this. Most of the meat was good but the rest of the food served we didn’t enjoy. It was very expensive for what you get. We won’t be back.

The food was fabulous, as always, but it was very busy and clear that the restaurant was not following Covid guidelines with capacity and seating. I had hoped Fogo de Chao would be a BETTER experience due to the Covid restrictions but it was disappointing to see that the restaurant was very full even though reservations are required. I also felt there were few servers for how many people were in the place.

Sadly, I feel this Fogo is no longer meeting the name and reputation. We used to love coming here - been to other Fogos as well over the years. This visit really missed the mark, from poor service, food not tasting fresh, and nickle-and-diming every charge. For example, when we sat down, we were asked if we wanted water. Said yes, server said "sparkling or still". I said we wanted "regular water" and he brought out mineral water and charged us 4.95 each.

We had a fabulous experience for a late lunch at Fogo this weekend. All safety protocols are being taken seriously, and we had an exceptional server - Celeste. She was very busy but made sure to check in with us and provided a wonderful experience to our group! The entire team was also fabulous from the gentlemen that came around to our tables frequently to the alternate servers who came to help when ours went on break. We for sure will be back again soon.
This is thee best restaurant I have ever been to. They go above and beyond in ensuring a safe and distanced experience, as well as making sure that you are more than taken care of. My water is never empty, the salad bar is magnificent, and if you like a never ending pile of perfectly cooked meat on your plate, this place is made for you. Service, safety, food and people that will leave you beyond full and happy for the rest of your week!!

Valentine’s Day
The food was great although I wish there were more sides to choose from . It was our very first experience and it was really packed because of Valentine’s Day so it took a while to get seated but overall it was a great experience.
When we first arrived we waited over 10 minutes before someone asked for our drink order. When attempting to order another drink, it took over 15 minutes before someone asked if they could assist. I told them that they had and never brought out drink.
The food was over seasoned, too much salt. There wasn’t the variety that was advertised. When we asked about it the server never came back after they were going to “check”. We had the same three guys with the same meats.
I ask for dessert and instead they brought me my check.
This whole experience was not worth $200+. What a huge disappointment, and we left hungry.
We are concerned to hear of such an experience, as all our guests should have attentive service and enjoy their meals. Please know that we appreciate the feedback and hope you don't allow this to keep you from visiting us again.

Restaurant was obviously busy for the holiday and filled every table available, including placing tables a couple feet away from the line for the market garden table, which is very uncomfortable when you're at the table close to it, trying to eat, and there is a whole line of people standing a foot from you. Also worry that the table's location made us go unnoticed by the wait staff as we waited 30 minutes to get someone to notice us to bring the check. I understand more tables means less wait for customers to get seated, but there should be a limit when you're being placed so close the market table that you can't have a private conversation because dozens of people are lined up next to you. Also not good for social distance guidelines.
Not the best service I have received there but it is understandable it was Valentine’s and Busy. Highly recommend still and very accommodating to my needs.
Waited a long time for food, was offered 4-5 kinds of meats out of the 10+ selection. Offered wine on sale for $50 along with dessert that night per server it’s a $75/bottle, check online is $25 per. Every year we come here for special occasion celebrations and service always excellent but not this year.
You should always be offered every cut, as you should be able to try the variety we offer. We hope your next visit is wonderful.

We came as a party of 4 and had a fabulous time even though it was super busy on Valentine’s Day. Food was delicious and hit the spot as always! Our server was Raquel and she is the bomb! She was so awesome and caring and always came back to check our table and others that she was in charged of. Thank you! We’ll definitely come back again!
