Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse - Minneapolis Ratings and Reviews
There were 8 of celebrating a 21st birthday. Mix of ages. Serve was really friendly and fun (although our primary server was very new , the others helped him out.We bought a birthday cake in (gluten free) and they were supportive and put candles on and served it. Great atmosphere, we spent 3 hours there and were not hurried! A great experience! Fixed price meals made it easy for even young men to eat all why could! (and more!)
We were going to the Vikings game so we thought we'd make a day of it. This is my son's favorite restaurant so we made a reservation and were promptly seated. If you have never been here before, don't eat that day. Visit the salad bar sparingly, although it is excellent in itself and good enough for a meal. But, the meats are fantastic and the service is excellent. I don't eat much meat but make an exception once or twice a year. Well worth a visit.
We came to celebrate my son's 19th birthday. The food was very good. Obviously you are there for the meat selection...or most of us are anyway and the meats were very good. We did have a slight issue with things being too rare even when asking for "medium." The salad bar was just ok. But the service- the service was impeccable. I was very impressed. Somebody is definitely doing something right there training staff. Oh- and don't skip the dessert!!! Fogo shined there as well. We will definitely go back.
The food was good. The ambiance felt like a large cafeteria. I am not a fan of the remodel. Service started out good but then we had a tough time tracking down our waitress. If you like the idea of trying the various meat offerings then by all means go there for dinner. But don’t expect great service if you are missing something. They are very prompt with the food though if you have the green tag showing
Service was GREAT at this location...from the friendly hostess to the outstanding service at the bar (while we waited for our table)...to the attentive service at our table. We have been to other Fogo's and this one certainly exceeded our expectations! Kudos to the staff and front of the house manager. The food was good but we noticed the salad bar was not in great shape in terms of someone managing that station. Two of the three dressing choices were not available and no one was there to refill and tidy up the messes that patrons left behind. The meat always is good, but we noted that the meat was either too rare or too well done. Perhaps this is a reflection of it being New Year's Eve and a full house. Overall a good meal and we will return when we are back in town.
Fogo was great as always. We arrived at 9:50 on a night they took their last seating at 10:00, and they made every effort to keep things fresh and stocked as if there were many hours remaining before close. Jeff was an AWESOME waiter, he connected with us immediately and made us laugh and played a large part in our enjoyment. If I had to give a complaint, I would say the lighting in the recent renovation doesn't look good. It casts a funny color over the food and the people. I would go back to a more "golden" color and not use the recessed cans. This won't prevent me from visiting, but I don't think the place looks as good.
Worst over priced single dinning experience I have ever had. Service was worse than Perkins on a holiday. Staff catered to one minoritoty, food is cooked on a flat stove not grilled and the tables are packed like sardines. Best steak house in Farmington MN hands down best steak in Minnesota. And for 15.00 you get what you get for 45 a plate at that place. Please people do better and give customers what they pay for.
Each time I go, I get closer to not coming back. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy it, but the value seems to decrease with each visit. There is less and less of the higher quality meats, but instead endless pork, sausage, chicken and house special. If you happen to get a ribeye or filet, don't expect a large piece and don't expect them to come again. They claim 16 meats, I bet I had 5 (opting out of the chicken, sausage and pork). And salty...everything was salty.
The salad bar was still good, but even that was less. No more shrimp, less cheese and bread and all in all, just less value.
I no longer think Rodizo Grill is the poor man's choice to Fogo. Really, I think they are about equal now.
Have enjoyed Fogo over the years. The remodel isn’t quite done, but it’s lacking where it is done. Starting to feel like a hotel ballroom. A few art pieces and air walls. Really colder than it used to be. New carpet helps. Biggest criticism is on the details. The floors were dirty from prior guests, the silverware dirty, the lighting too bright, the music In any way quiet, the main server hard to identify, etc. The food remains solid, the rest was kind of a mess.
It's Dim Sum for meat eaters. No prices listed until your bill arrives. Huge salad bar and cheesy rolls could fill you up too soon. One menu and one bar/wine menu per couple (I never saw the latter). It's a guy's world in many ways. It was an adventure of sorts but I don't think I need to repeat it. The guy I was with was ready to return.
