If you haven’t been to the Minneapolis Fogo, you are undeniably missing out. The atmosphere, the friendliness of the staff, the drinks, the salad bar, oh yea, and the meats...make a reservation now and experience the best night out you will have in a looong time.
Had a 630 reservation and we’re not seated until 653. Did not get beverage service until we were nearly finished with our meal.
Absolutely wonderful! Love the assortment of meat dishes
My husband and I hadn’t been back since the remodel. We like the former look better. The lights were waaay too bright and the ambiance feels more sterile. It was cozier before the remodel.
Amazingly experience! Very tentative staff.
Will definitely return, food is superb!
Serves were not present. Took over 25 mins to get served. Food that was requested was never delivered
We left very full and satisfied. The food was fantastic, as it always seems to be. We were seated more toward the corner in a small enclave, and it was markedly quieter than in the center of the main dining area, where we were last time. Was nice to be able to arrive at 1:45 pm on a Sunday and still get Sunday brunch. Come hungry to get your money’s worth.
We usually love Fogo.... but the past couple visits have been a disappointment. When we first started coming here, the venue had an intimate upscale feel to it. The servers were very personable, and the food was great. Ever since they opened up the extra wing, the restaurant just doesn't feel the same. This past visit, the clientele was different. Instead of a more upscale feel, there were people walking around in sweatpants and hoodies. The servers seemed rushed, and were far less personable. A place that we used to consider a nice spot for a great dinner and bottle of wine is now starting to feel more like a cheap all you can eat buffet type of atmosphere.
We loved the market table and all of the delicious meats. The most notable favorites were bacon-wrapped chicken, Parmesan dusted pork and the filet mignon was super succulent!
Bathroom was disgusting! Bloody tampon and toilet paper on the floor full roll of toilet paper in the floor I've never seen this bathroom look like this ever!
Great as always. Love this place.
Not bad for a fast, casual restaurant. The service is unfortunately, somewhat inattentive. The waiter forgot my cocktail and the service for the meats and sides was slower than normal in this place. It is not bad for a quick, casual group dinner, but not for a romantic dinner or quiet celeation.
Food: great meat. Delicious. But it was cold sometimes. And the lamb chop was “bee and kweed”... like past well done. Inedible. Some of the cuts they called medium rare were well done. But they did come pretty quickly and the selection was great. The meat guys were friendly and had great outfits on.
Salad bar: pretty good.
Service: we had a new waiter who appeared drunk. It was our first time at Fogo... he knew this because he asked if we had been there before. But he didn’t explain anything to us so we didn’t know how it worked. He also only brought us water and didn’t take a drink order. A second waiter (tall blonde) had to come and explain the way it worked and took our drink order. Told us the other guy was new. Then the inexperienced waiter came with our drinks and spilled my husbands beer all over the table. He said “oops”, did not say “sorry”, grabbed a napkin from the neighboring table and just placed it on top of the spilled beer. He did not offer a replacement beer nor did he discount the bill for what he spilled. He was completely unattentive. Never checked on how we were (only the blonde one did). Then after the blonde one had already taken care of the bill, the newbie came over and said “have you gotten your bill yet?” Really, dude? Get this guy out of there. Really.
I do understand that the tips are shared between everybody fairly. However I do not think it is right. Our waiter should not have even received a fair share of the tip. The tall blonde waiter deserved more, but explained that they are split between waiters, meat guys, etc and that he’d have to split it with the new guy. Not right. Wish there had been away to tip the good guy five bucks more for taking the time to care about our table. Anyways, thanks to you, blonde waiter, for making our experience a bit more pleasant than it would have been without your help!
I seriously love this place! From the minute you walk in everyone is so friendly and helpful. We arrived downtown early because we didn't realize how easy it is to park (their valet is only $10 btw!) and they sat us 15 minutes before our reservation with no problem! We were seated in a new remodeled room, super nice by the wine bottles.
It was incredibly busy but all of the service staff was very helpful and always around when we needed them. It was like they could read our minds, they anticipated our every need! The salad bar was beautiful with homemade soup, which my server said was a hit. My wife loved the imported cheeses, colorful salads and the salad bar meats was a big add on as well.
As far as the meats go, everyone loves filet mignon but their house special was my favorite. The Parmesan pork was also pretty amazing. Something to try is the cowboy bone in ribeye, something pretty new. We didn't save room for dessert but our server insisted and said they give desserts for anniversaries. We tried their flan which was to die for.
Best anniversary ever!
We can't wait to go back. Will tell about Fogo all over the place, you rock!
The food was great. The service was amazing. Made a very nice birthday lunch!
Wonderful experience, great food!
Drive in from out of town several hours for a special lunch with friends, so worth it, will do again!!!
Having enjoyed Fogo multiple times in the past, my wife and I were excited to try it for lunch rather than dinner. We were impressed that Fogo was able to maintain their impeccable service and quality at the very palatable lunch prices.
Service was kind, quick, and always accommodating. The salad bar was delicious as always.
This is the first time we have visited since the remodel and we were very impressed at the new design which provides a more open concept, flexible large capacity rooms, and highlights their bar immaculately.
One of the most amazing experience I've ever had at a restaurant
Awesome birthday experience
My husband and I had dinner at Fogo de Chao and were dissapointed with our experience. We had been a couple years ago and on this visit discovered that the restaurant had been renovated. While it looked lovely, there were way too many tables in the dinning area which made it hard to walk from our table to the salad area, in addition, it made it difficult for our servers to come to our table and serve the various meat selections. The premium meat selections were not as available as others. The restaurant was loud and service was slow. We also waited for our check for 20 minutes. We normally love to celebrate fun occasions at Fogo, but will now only come here during a lunch (less busy, and room to walk) if that. The entrees were tasty as always as well as the sides. I wish I could say that we had a better experience and did not wish that we had chosen a different place to dine for the evening.
We had a party of 8 people and everyone had a great time even our 2 kids! They eat a lot and had a blast with the green light red light coasters. Only thing i had an issue with( that has happened in the past) is you can add on seafood but they have never told us there is an up charge.
The service was fantastic.
Do not recommend the earliest set of reservations--the meat courses were too rare regardless of supposed "doneness". Some burned exterior, but very rare interior.
Mismarked Market Table had me eating Hearts of Palm instead of Mozzerella. Not the same thing.
Fruit flies...lots of fruit flies.
Good experience but I wouldn’t go back anytime soon. Food was excellent. Service staff was attentive - except for the skewer guys. They seemed to forget our table for long periods of time. My wife was charged for the meat service ($50) even though she had salad. We didn’t catch that until we got home. The ambience was challenged with bright lighting and loud patrons (poor acoustics). There are too many good choices in the area that overall tie it all together much better.
Meat quality a bit lower then in other fogo de chao I’ve been visiting in the last year. But still a nice experience
Too many customers for the number of employees. Apparently the restaurant did not know about a mining convention going on.
Great experience as always. Garlic steak is my all time favorite
Food was just okay. Four out of five meats were tough. Sides were tasteless. Service was awful- it took 30 minutes to get the $140 bill. We had to keep flagging down our waiter to request things.
Wonderful ambiance, fantastic food. Overall wonderful experience. This was my daughter's first time there (not mine, by any means!) and she's recommending it to all her friends now. We'll definitely be back!
We enjoyed all of the attention from the wait staff. They were very attentive and kind. I took my 16 year old grandson because his favorite food is beef! I think he was in a meat coma when we left. I enjoyed the variety of salads/vegetables on your salad bar. Very tasty especially the marinades.
Went to celebrate a birthday. The staff/service was excellent. We had a great experience.
Our server was short handed and we needed to ask for things throughout our meal. We had a reservation and were seated a half hour passed our scheduled time.
Communication was lacking. Dishes were piled on our table. It was just a frustrating evening. Such a bummer for us since this is not something we do often.
Overalls the food is good but they never serve all the meats they repeat chicken bacon four times and I need to ask for a piece of top sirloin and after 10 minutes finally received the piece cold and I don’t even try asking for a filet minion, I ended paying 450 for mostly chicken and cold meat ( the same time of meat 3 times ) the soda comes in the tiniest bottle ever and they charge you 3.5 per bottle and the bottle don’t even fill up the glass I think is over price for the meal no coming ever .
Overall, not impressed with the selection offered. Wonder if they cut down on meat offerings due to restaurant week? The service got progressively slower as the night went on. I had to flag down wait staff numerous times to see if we could get some more steak/chicken/whatever. It’s like they decided we’d had enough and just quit coming around. (And no, none of us are extremely big eaters.) Wait staff also crossed signals and I had to find someone to order dessert. My 3rd time there was a disappointment. Especially as I was bringing my son and his family for their first time to celebrate his birthday. I probably won’t be back.
Service was absolutely amazing! Salad bar was the best part personally for my taste as I wasn't a huge fan of the steak and pork. Bacon wrapped chicken was great however.
The server was very inattentive. He did not visit my table once during dinner. I was unable to order any drinks and I had to find someone to give me my bill. I asked the hosts who my server was and I believe his name was Ezra but I can't be sure. They asked if I wanted to talk to customer service but I was running late for an event. I do want to be clear that I was exceptionally disappointed in the service and hope you will do better.
Restaurant Week at Fogo is one the best deals. You don't get the whole meat menu but more than enough to satisfy. Plus the great salad bar and a dessert. Love the new addition to the restaurant. A lot more room to spread out.
