Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse - Minneapolis Ratings and Reviews
I mixed up the reservation for restaurant week but they were kind enough to honor it even though we were a half hour too early. Except splitting the check caused a whole fiasco where some people were charged more than they were supposed to and some weren't charged enough. Just divide the check by 5. It shouldn't be that difficult. Caused absolute chaos to split a check. And we never saw our waiter. Had to get other people to help us. He finally came by to try to clear up the check issue which he only made worse.
Fogo de Chao just opened their new expansion area. The restaurant is very spacious and elegant. As always the service was exceptional and the meats outstanding...probably the best prepared meats in the Twin Cities. Moist, flavorful and well seasoned. The meat is the focus, but the salad bar is incredible! And do not forget to partake in the soup, rice and beans on the side tables. If you prefer the extensive salad bar and sides with less meat for lunch, please note that the salad bar can be purchased for $15.00 with one meat entree for an additional $6 to $8 dollars. This may be a more economical option for you instead of the full $35.00 for the full all you can eat luncheon. As always, our experience was everything hoped for. Timothy was our waiter and did an incredible job of professional service with a great attitude in spite of how busy the restaurant was during our luncheon stay.
Beginning to sound like a broken record, but when you have a favorite restaurant, what else do you say? The team at this Fogo is unbelievable. Never once have I questioned their ability to work together to make every guest felt like I did my first time here and every time my wife and I visit. Yes, it was a busy Valentine’s Day night, yes this Fogo just expanded because they’re amazing and fill up quick, but their service never ceases to amaze my wife and I. We love you all, as I’m sure you know, the people are the only thing better than the food!
Only thing I was very disappointed with, was you don't bring around the good meat. Rack of lamb, filet mignon only came by one time the whole time we were there. The managers were very friendly. We didn't see much from our waiter he never even came by to ask if we wanted another drink.
This was the 10 year I have celebrated my birthday at Fogo de Chao. This year was different. No one asked why were visiting on (2-13-18) and we did not get the "Valentine" special gift card promotion that was given out.:( We felt very rushed and watche.
We did like the new area, however, it did not seem like there were that many diners as in the previous nine years.
We are now looking at finding my new birthday spot. Perhaps, we won't feel rushed and watched!
Had reservations but were sat 15 minutes late. Didn’t get any of the added food (cheese bread, fried plantains, polenta) until we asked for it. Then when we were finished had to wait 20 minutes to get our check brought back to us after being taken to be run. Horrible service but good food was the only saving grace.
Very busy place, water service was Very attentive. Plan for at least a 2 hour meal. We had reservations for 6 but did not get a table unless almost 630. All in all food is good, you have to love meat to get your money out of the experience, but we spent over $300 for 4 people with one drink per person. Salad bar is awesome which sounds strange when this place is known for meat.
This is one of my favorite places to dine. I have been to almost all of the fine dinning restaurants in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area and this one is in my top 5. The service is amazing! Matt Roth is always there to greet me and say's hello. I am always treated well. The service is amazing and the food is perfection!!! They have an amazing salad bar for those who don't love meat as much as I do. The meat is cooked to perfection. WOW. The drinks are very tasty. It is worth every cent!
This was our first visit since the opening of the restaurant. We had received a gift card so we decided to try Fogo de Chao again. The food was fine and the salad bar offered a variety of options. But I feel it is greatly over priced for the normal person at $75 per person for the salad bar and all you can eat meat,
The check in girl had a total attitude problem. Seemed like she was doing me a favor by checking in.
Made a reservation through your website. She of course was not listening. We were the first ones in with our best clients and even showed her on my phone the confirmation.
She made me look like I did not no what I was talking about and then she said after she relished she wasn’t listening, oh you made the reservation on the website like that was something I wasn’t suppose to do.
We all almost walked out to go to another high quality lunch place.
How hard can it be to put a smile on and welcome high profile guests?
A carnivore's Heaven - the fire-roasted meats were all great. Staff was attentive and accommodating - if one of our guests asked about availability of a specific meat, the server would head back to the kitchen and almost immediately bring out a fresh skewer of it. Sensational salad bar (hold back!), nice wine list, great martinis, and the birthday dessert was presented beautifully. Two of our group were new to the Fogo experience - I'm pretty sure they will return!
My husband and daughter are in Minneapolis for the super bowl and the staff was more preoccupied with preparing for a big group that was coming than waiting on them. There were hardly any guests in the restaurant and they still received poor service. The staff was busy dragging tables all around them and made them feel unwelcome like they wanted them out of the way. Very disappointing!! We have eaten here several times before and it was always good. They felt like they were at a quick service restaurant rather than a fine dining venue.
Having visited Fogo de Chao multiple times before, I would have to say that this lady visit was by far the best experience. Everything was top-notch - food, drink, pace, waitstaff, and company. The only negative comment that I have is that I sat by a window, and as has happened previously, there were a couple of fruit flies that just wouldn't leave us be. I think they live in the curtains. But that does not deter me from affirming that this restaurant is far and away my favorite.
