The bananas, oh lord the bananas, please get the bananas with the sweetened condensed milk
The food as always was great. But to top it all off our server Miguel was very attentive, helping, and got us everything we needed with a great smile on his face running around doing everything he could to help our table of 9 people while also helping others in the most respectable manner. Amazing service. Made the environment so much more welcoming Then we thought.
Never been, and saw it on Restaurant Week. Food was phenomenal, waiter was very attentive. Will definitely be back
Awesome food. Awsome atmosphere
Everything was absolutely amazing!! First time ever dining and for sure will be back!!! Cierra the server is top notch! She wasn’t our main server but took amazing care of us and made sure we were taken care of at all times! Miguel is an awesome manager! You can tell that his team respects him and he is so personable with the guests! These two people are for sure two of the biggest reasons I would be back!
Another amazing lunch at fogo!! Everyone there is so attentive!
We sat down and never got a meat plate or tongs, even after asking three times. The meat servers rarely came to our table, and the few times they did it was the same exact item. We decided to leave after only a few servings. Not enough food for the cost, unless you want to be there for several hours with long waits between servings. Wanted another drink, but server never came to check on us until they brought the bill.
It was remarkable! We went during Restaurant week for the first time and surely will be going back!!! I gave it a higher noise level, the day we went was during RW soo take that into mind. If I had any pointers, I would've loved to seen more of a fruit selection and kid-friendly variety food bar for my toddler vegetarian Son; with that said we are yet still very satisfied customers!!
We were seated in the corner near the kitchen. We were often forgotten and the meat didn’t come as often to our table as it should have been. By the time we got served any meat, it was usually the last of the meat left and probably was on the way back to the kitchen to get tossed.
It seemed like our server forgot about our table. It took almost a half an hour for someone to ask us if we wanted dessert. It took our server over 5 minutes just to run our cards because he was too busy chatting with the other servers.
It was busy because of restaurant week. We were seated ten minutes past our reservation time. I had to ask our server for a napkin a few different times. Also I was referred to as a "fella" by a server when I am a woman. Other than this the experience was great. The food was wonderful. The servers were otherwise good and hospitable.
First night of restaurant week. sunday night. packed to the rafters. Poor control of salad bar so many could not go because couldn't fight through the crowd. I pad for paying the check could not devide bill for 6 diners. Poor planning, The side dishes were only served once at our table of 6 and that was before we went for salad so the single small plate of potatoes was cold by the time we wanted to eat it. We were only given one plate with 4 polenta pieces and two banana halves on it, for 6 people. Felt like I was at a food trough or cheap smorgasbord. We never saw many of the meats that were listed on the limited menu. Had to ask for a chicken option to be served in our side of the dining room. They should have limited the reservations, or times them more scattered. Very unorganized. When their is a big crowd at the salad bar...someone should give direction and keekp it moving not allow random butting. I will never return. What a joke.
The food was good and the servers did a great job. But this felt rushed and crowded from the moment we sat down.
Fabulous salad bar and unlimited proteins/meat walked around the room
We get our table right away, the customer service is highly recommended, Miguel is a good Customer Representative and of Course Konnor is so sweet he is our server next time we go back we’ll request for Konnor as our server he is so friendly so is Miguel.
Connor was an attentive. The garlic steak was generally tough. The bottom sirloin was delicious.
The staff were so nice and the food was good
Its definitely on the pricier side, but the food is very good. The numerous options and “buffet-style” are a nice change of pace from the other steakhouses downtown. Overall enjoyed the dinner and would recommend this place.
Service was little slow...
We came in and they had our table ready for us so we were seated immediately. Half of our party had not been to FOGO before so the process was explained clearly. The staff was attentive the entire night and would come back to check on us at just the right time. We ordered dessert and coffee. The cheesecake and flan were so delicious. We will be coming back! Thank you Fogo for being such a wonderful place for date night!
Asked for multiple meat and had to re-ask the waiter and servers 5!!! Times and after an hour it finally came around.
It took forever to get our meat.
Hands down worst service ever! My wife, child and I went there with my parents. Our waitress came and got our drinks for us. She then NEVER came back and checked on our table once. We had to flag down a floor manager a couple times just to get our drinks refilled. Horrible, horrible service..
The restaurant was very overbooked, our server was nice but didn’t provide basic things (plates, water) until we asked several times. There was also a large party next to us that was being over served and becoming quite intoxicated. We would never come back here
Dirty silverware and water glasses. Had to ask several times for a sever to come by with meat. Not worth $57.00
It was a busy Valentine's weekend, so I understand a little hiccup here and there, but we had a 6:30 reservation and waited over an hour to be seated. The restaurant was extremely crowded and loud and our service was extremely poor. The meats were tasty but it took a long time for the servers to arrive.
While the food was good, the service was slow and the table side meat service was really lacking.
We were seated directly next to the salad bar. Since it was so busy people were lining up next to our table. Literally bodies standing over us as we ate. It was awkward and made conversation and ambiance undesirable. We eat here often and have never experienced this. We now have a table we will refuse in the future.
Sad to write this review. I have been going to Fogo for years and it seems I continually tell myself that it was an "off night" and to try again another time. My last visit ended that nonsense. Fogo intentionally overbooks the restaurant to the point where someone should notify the Fire Marshall (on weekends) .
Reservations at 5:45. Seated at 6:45. Stuck in a back corner where we saw the Gauchos only when tables around us complained about poor service. (So in that sense, we saw them often in spurts; as complaints were frequent). We only received the table sides when we requested them...3 times, and only the bread. Oh, and some cold potatoes dropped off once too that had literally crusted over the top), The meat itself-- frankly all the beef selections taste exactly the same, and all are too salty. Tip--Be cognizant of what you wear too because on a over booked night, the Gauchos are in a hurry and they will get meat blood on your clothes. I frankly wear stuff I no longer care about.
The drinks-- don't waste your time on a specialty drink--they are overpriced and small. The wine selection or a draft beer is your best bet. The Salad bar-- if you are going for the overpriced THE FOGO® CHURRASCO EXPERIENCE which most of us are, you won't mind that the salad bar has dropped in quality year over year. But if your wife is like mine & orders the $35 salad bar only, she will mind. She'll mind that entire dishes are labeled but not actually there the entire 2.5 hour time we were in the restaurant. She will mind that the area around the salad bar in Minneapolis has been stuffed with more tables and there is no room & no semblance of a line--it's a free for all with people touching everything. And she will mind that the soup is cold with a layer crusted over the top. The wait staff-- I am sorry to knock them. They try hard, but Fogo overbooks and puts them at a disadvantage. To have to ask for water and sides and meat 5 times is bad. Not going back.
It was a great concept, with good food. It was so big and crowded. Hard to move through the tables. We were seated so far away from the food. The meat people were scarce, waited for them to come in our corner. I felt like we were on a cruise ship where they were making sure you got in and out and not slowing down to enjoy the experience. Too crowded and not relaxing.
Extremely crowded. Poor service. Will not recommend on a holiday weekend or probably attend ourselves again after having many good experiences.
Food was great but service not so much. Waiter sat us down and brought our bottle of wine then we never saw him again. We had to ask other waiters for help as they passed by. Additionally you pay for a wide variety of choices to be brought to you table. In our case meats were brought to two tables close to us but then the servers would turn a walk away without visiting our table. We complained to a manager who sent more servers our way but by then we had waited so long we were not really interested anymore.
We were not offered as much meat as before but we’re still satisfied with the quality of food and service so, really no complaint here. Thank you!
Very flavorful meats
We been many times at Fogo. Our last time was Friday February 14. The waitress was good always on top. But meat guys barely show up to uor table. We waited for minutes with our plate empty looking around to have another meat. And then it was pretty much the same meat over and over again. Really disappointed.
Service was a huge miss for us. Server only came by at the beginning and had to flag someone down to just get water. Food was very slow to come out. Waited just over 20 mins with no food at all. Very busy night but must have been short staffed as this was unusual and not the date night we wanted. Will celebrate date night else where going forward.
Great customer service
It was our two year anniversary and we were seated way in the back and they served the same meats. Special top sirloin and pork sausage. I was sadly underwhelmed. The lobster tails were soggy and disgusting. I wouldn’t go again. We barely were served any meat.
Lovely Valentine’s Day Dinner!
