Great service, and amazing people that work there. Always happy to go back. Receptionist was very helpful.
Mediocre service. All meat was generally overcooked.
We were not visited by many of the meat servers. There were many times that they walked past us with meats we knew were part of the dineLA special. Our server did not check in on us after dropping off our drinks. The best thing about the meal was the salad bar.
Always awesome. First time to this location food and service great but personally not for a especial occasion.
The food was great and the selection for the salad bar was vast. There was a dish for every pallet. Although the downtown LA location is a bit pricey, it is not over the top. Our servers Fabio and Mae were very attentive and helpful. The biggest down side was the close proximity of all tables. They have crammed way to many tables and chairs in the space and this drastically impacts the dining experience. Waiters are unable to tend to the needs of a table without impeding on the personal space of other patrons. There is no room for two individuals to walk down an aisle without one moving in front of another table and hovering over their dinner. It was a beautiful setting, but we could barely enjoy ourselves due to feeling so cramped.
not bad but not very good anymore, other Brazilian restaurants have much better choices and salad bar, for the price, ($200 for dinner for 2 with drinks including tax and tip) expected better. garlic steak was tough, they kept offering well done steak, service was great, just had better quality and options at other Brazilian restaurants (via Brasil in Vegas, Texas de Brasil in Oxnard, gauchos grill in Glendale)
Always consistent! Excellent dining experience!
This was my first time & I was not impressed with this restaurant. I had no idea who was my waiter or waitress as there were so many people coming to our table & no one introduced themselves as our waiter or waitress. I really wanted a bottle of wine & I had to waive someone down to order it after my cocktail had been empty for at least 20 mins.
All of the food was excellent. Only two real complaints:
1) We were seated at a 6-top near the pillar by the salad bar, and it seemed like the food kept going around our table instead of stopping. We saw the servers going down one side of the restaurant and even to the table next to us, but instead of hitting our table they would keep going down towards the front. The ones to the left of us would come back down towards us, but instead of stopping they would go back into the kitchen.
2) The Arnold Palmers my friend and I ordered tasted like tea mixed with lemon juice or grapefruit juice, not the traditional lemonade. They were too sour and neither of us drank much of them.
I would still go back for next Restaurant Week, as the bottom sirloin, pork picanha, and bacon-wrapped steak were standouts on an already outstanding menu. We didn't even notice the absence of ribeye from the dineLA menu, which says a lot. Thanks!
The food was really really bad. I’ve been to other Fogo de Chão and had a very different experience. So shocked About the experience
It was wonderful . The staff was very attentive and gave excellent recommendations on items to enjoy at the restaurant.
The experience we had at dinner was superb. The vegetables, fruits, soups and of course the meats were very delicious. Lightly seasoned just perfect. We truly enjoyed everything we had and it made an awesome first time experience.
The waiters and waitresses were very friendly and knowledgeable. We were celebrating my son's birthday and he was given a complimentary dessert. Truly a delightful experience.
Excellent since the moment we entered the restaurant !! Will definitely go again!
I loved that the server and team wrote happy birthday on our dessert plates. That’s so wonderful !!!
Awesome place to spend our birthdays.
Great food, wine and service like always
Excelente comida, muy buena atención , es un buen restaurante para cualquier ocasión
Very poor service. Was placed on a table where I would have to ask people to move so I can use the restroom. Waiter never came and got my drink order wrong multiple times.
They chiling over charge price
We reservation restaurantweek dinner
They charged us regular dinner price
We call server ‘can you fix price??’
And than they sooooo loud to us
It was just okay. The meats needed more seasoning. We asked for more salt, they charged an extra person so had to get 62.99 refunded. I wouldn’t go back.
The wait time was more than 30 minutes even though we had a reservation.
It smelled bad. That smell. A kind of smelly smell. The smelly smell that smells... smelly.
Our group visited Fogo de Chao LA prior to going to the Kings vs Blue Jackets. We found their wine list too go to leave, so we stayed and enjoyed great food, great wine and each others company. I would not hesitate doing it again.
We did not get greeted upon being seated at our table..we had to wait for at least 20 minutes, no acknowledgement by a waiter so we decided to get up and ask who our waiter was...we were told we didn’t have a specific one and they work as a team...apparently the team doesn’t communicate because we had to get up a few more times to get some service for our refills and mashed potatoes...meat servers were decent with the service and would get someone when we would have a specific meat request...Beverly hills and even Puerto Rico location sets a really high standard that LA just doesn’t possess
Super unhappy being that our bill was over $500 and it was a birthday dinner
The $8.00 Happy Hours Cocktail values are very good. Andre knows how to make an excellent cocktail for you, for example, this $8.00 Caramelized Pineapple Old Fashioned he made here looks great with a good taste.
Amazing experience thank you
Fin de año
NYE dinner was great!
From the moment I enter the restaurant, I'm greeted warmly by the staff and we take no time in getting started. The ambiance is relaxed, the servers are well-informed and professional, and the food is great, especially the beef ribs, rib eye, and rack of lamb. I can't get enough of the cheese bread. I'll be back with a friend.
I read some of the reviews on Open Table prior to dining at the restaurant. I agree that there weren’t many meat selections brought to the tables and we had to ask for things. The bathrooms required servicing. Management was attentive when we brought up the issues but a restaurant of this caliber should not have issues like this. The Beverly Hills location is much better.
Too expensive! No good meat
Not up to par for Fogo. Not much meat on the floor. Poor server. Had to ask for everything. Understaffed. I love Fogo. Won’t be back to this location. Lots of overcooked or super rare meat. For high dollar, I want high
Level. This was lacking tonight. Disappointed. No hospitality.
Nothing EXTRa spectacular. The only thing is when u flip the round red/green coaster.
The crispy chicken is smelly (the smell of a meat/chicken defrosted AND left for 2 days. We waited for at least 10mins for each server to arrive in our arrive to present to us the choices of meat/chicken; grilled zuccini in the salad bar is cold. Nobody’s checking to refill (i.e. black beans). I waited for the appetizers but throughout out the time, no prawn/clam arrived.
Out of the 10 choices of meat/chicken, i must say, i like the filet mignon. I love the sparkling Moscato.
Iver all, For the price of Fogo de Chao $60+++ per person excluding tax, wine it’s nor worth it. Sorry. I still prefer La Boucherie and I don’t mind paying $$$$ as linf as I know my money’s worth
Service was non existent. We were at a table in the middle of the restaurant, and the servers literally walked around us, rarely stopping. We're still waiting for the filet mignon we never received.
Love this restaurant! Definitely get your money’s worth
Great meat and service
I loved the concept of the endless parade of meats. And I thought the salad bar was great.
Holiday time severely impacted the quality of service, frequency of tableside and soup station food items being available timely. The noise level was very high due to very large groups. Definitely didn’t get my money’s worth this time and this was my fourth time dining at the DTLA location. Long wait for bill and had to ask another waiter for it and ask yet another waitress for the receipt after 30-40 minutes.
