Hostess warned short staffed. Half of restaurant closed. Rest jammed with too close tables resulting in collisions of servers. Had to complain to get a single offer of meat after 20 minutes and cards green. Over 60% offerings never arrived. Two special orders never appeared. I was a regular for years so I knew what to expect. Twice had to pile and clear our own dishes. Silverware missing and when taken never replaced. For the price this was a disaster. Would never attempt a special occasion again at this location.
Date night! Was good! Busy but decent service!
Service is not as great as what it was before. We had to ask multiple times and multiple people for simple requests. The wait staff kept forgetting our orders or requests and flagging down a server was a feat as well. Complaining does no good as the staff seems entitled to their positions and dont really care about giving guests a good experience. Not sure what happened to this Fogo, but pretty disappointing. Not coming here again.
Had a great anniversary dinner. Thank you!
made our anniversary a great ending. thanks to all the staff.
Service was amazing. Loved when multiple servers/workers asked specifically what we wanted and how we wanted our meat cooked.
Fogo has become mediocre. This was our first time visiting the downtown LA location and it really wasn’t worth it. The service especially was horrible. The wait staff was seen chatting amongst theirselves while dirty plates sat at our table, our water needed to be filled. We ordered a bottle of wine and had to fill our glasses the entire time. When I go to a fine dining place that charges $62 per dinner, I expect exceptional attention even if the food is mediocre. I definitely won’t return. There’s a new Brazilian steakhouse opening downtown and I hope that their service, food and value exceed this. I don’t know if it’s because we are people of color but the wait staff (with the exception of one person) did not really seem interested in offering good service. Also, they need to revamp their sides options.
The service was excellent. The waiter was very nice and courteous.
Loved the experience and ate a lot of meat that was perfectly cooked!
A must go to place. Meat lover paradise. Good atmosphere. I have never had a bad experience at this place. Salad bar is good as well. Wine and liquor variety is top notch. I do consider this place high end, so go on a special occasion. What I like about this place is that even though it's a great place to eat a variety of meats and vegetables, the staff is friendly and they dont make you feel intimidated. It's a casual setting, and it feels that way when you're there. So please do yourself a favor an treat yourself to this great eatery. You wont regret it.
From the beginning it was excellent. Made reservation and ended up getting sooner. They were able to accommodate us. Bar drinks were good for the price. The food was so flavorful. One our guest only eats well done meat and they would come back with meat just how she likes it. I will come back whenever I’m in town again.
Tasty food with good service. Love the cheese bread and lamb.
My Mom’s Birthday was a complete success. We loved the food and the service. My Mom is still talking about it. We will definitely come again.
It was our first time at Fogo de Chao, never going back. After being shown to our table and heading to the bar to pick up some sides, my lady and I waited over 15 minutes after being seated for a churrasquero to pass by and offer any kind of meat (yes, we had the chip flipped over to the green side the entire time). Then another 15 minutes (of flagging someone down) passed before anyone asked if we needed anything, plus a few more 10-minute intervals waiting for more meat offerings. Most of the staff seemed very low energy during our visit. Even though the quality of the food is excellent, my lady and I could not wait to get up and leave the restaurant due the lack of proper service. For $166 USD on a dinner for two, I could've brought my business elsewhere. So much for a special romantic occasion, what an embarrassment...
It smells like a gym locker room in the dining area for some reason. I don’t have that experience at the La Cienega location. 🤷♂️
Their customer service is very nice and organized. The server of meat was very friendly and his service was very customized based on the requests.
For many years we have visited several Fogo de Chao locations but this one is not at the standard level of the company. As a matter of fact, it’s the worst. They didn’t offer the usual variety of steaks and when we asked for something specific (for example picanha), they didn’t bring it. Service very poor. I’ll start trying other Brazilian restaurants.
The food was outstanding as well as the service. Lots of choices at the salad bar and the hand cut chicken was delicious.
Manager was outstanding kept checking on us the chefs where on point with the food.
There was hair in almost all of my food. This really disappoints me because this is supposed to be a quality restaurant.
I love this place! Food is amazing and the service is beyond exceptional. It’s pricey but you definitely get what you pay for.
It’s we awesome, fogo never fails
This is one of our favorite restaurants. The staff recognizes our family every visit, which makes the experience more enjoyable. I have a couple of suggestions. First Adding carpet to around the bar because It can become very slippery and is a liability. Second offer a variety of breads to accompany the spreads and cheeses. Lastely I would recommend changing the soup variety more often. It's been lentil or bisque for a few years.
We have experienced many celebrations at Fogo and we continue to make this a family favorite . Thank You for the hospitality. We love Jimena and all the STAFF in LA.
Nice decor and good location close to L.A Live. We didn’t get a first good impression as we were greeted by the hostesses. Not friendly at all. It definitely seem they didn’t enjoy their job. We saw them criticizing a couple of clients that came in. Very unprofessional but again they are very young. However after we sat down out server Jimena did make it worthwhile. Very friendly attitude and made very good recommendations about the menu. Might come back some day.
Our group visited Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse prior to watching the Kings vs Bruins game. There were six of us and the wait staff were very attentive to each persons needs. We were at the restaurant for about 2 hours and never felt rushed. The food was very good and the wine list was on par with the food. I will make this one of my go to places prior to any function in the downtown area.
Good environment over all
Pleasantly surprised with the food and service here. The manager was on the floor throughout the night ensuring our experience there was pleasant. The atmosphere and food were top notch, the staff was helpful at explaining the menu and making suggestions. I’d definitely go again.
Great food great service and very clean environment
It was my second time going and it was as good as the the first.
The food/ service was great and I could probably write a full page describing how good everything was. However, I did run into an issue when I got my check. Me and my wife went to Fogo de Chao to celebrate Valentine’s Day and decided to stick with the churrasco experience as we both felt that would be more than enough food for both of us. Unfortunately, not all of the food being served is included in the churrasco experience and we didn’t find out until we got the bill. So if anyone wants to go to Fogo de Chao, I’ll recommend the food, just be careful you don’t run into the same issue we did.
Do NOT eat lunch in advance of having dinner at Fogo!!!
Took to long to come back and some didn’t come back at all ... I paid basically for a salad date on Valentine’s
Food was okay and service was great, I did expect a little more taste from the food overall it was good
Valentine’s was great!
Amazing service - Everyone was attentive and beyond elated to assist with whatever it was that you needed. It was our first time and our waiter explained everything exceptionally well.
Amazing food - Every single piece of meat that came out was cooked to perfection. The filet mignon, the chicken thigh and the mashed potatoes were phenomenal. I do not eat cheese do the salad bar was tough for me to enjoy but I did have a few options to select from!
Food was simply delicious! Wait staff and chefs answered all of our questions and were super helpful
The dining experience was great as usual.
Everything was good except for the drinks my friend and I got were were very strong we didnt enjoy them.
Hopefully I chose the right noise level. It was rather quiet with an occasional baby crying.
When I first commented about the baby, they offered to move me.
The salad bar was very impressive and the meat selection totally delicious. Our main waiter, Peter was very attentive as was all the staff.
