I've been to Fogo De Chao's in Houston, Dallas, Denver, and this one in Kansas City. Not once was I offered filet and really at the price what I got was not worth it. Probably my last visit.
We looked forward to going. We invited my father in-law. A real family dinner. My son was there too. A late celebration for my birthday, which was a milestone. My mother died when she was 53. She was diagnosed in January of 1989 and she died on August 6, 1989. I’m wondering how many people decide to write a review after finding out it must consist of so many characters? Do you have to write a book or what? Are they even reviewed if it doesn’t? We spent a lot of hard earned money for the “experience “. We drove for an hour one way. From some podunk town you’ve never heard of. I read all the reviews and was impressed so many people thought so well of the restaurant. I am disabled and money is tight. I had to save up the $375! That might not be a lot to most people but it’s a fortune to us. My heart and soul were in that dinner. I can’t believe there are still over 1000 characters to go. Seated promptly was the only thing that was right. I was really ready for the “experience “. I mean really that was the deal. You dropped the ball. We had a 5:30 reservation. Not a busy time for a restaurant. We weren’t treated as welcome customers. More of a let’s get through this until the real crowd shows up. Very much felt like we were more of a process. Do your better employees work later hours? Waiting for the big spenders to show up? The person who seated us kept pushing us to order the ribeye. 3 times and the 4th time she suggested it be split among the 4 of us. What the heck? We ordered bar drinks and waited and waited. We had to ask twice and were assured the third time they were on their way. We had been through the salad bar twice before someone else not serving our table noticed we did not have our hot sides. We didn’t know we were supposed to have them. You would have thought I would have remembered since I read and reread the menu and reviews. I guess I was caught up in the experience. I won’t be going back. Not worth the money!
We had an absolutely amazing experience. From the service to the quality of the food, we couldn’t be mite pleased. Delighted that we only have to walk across the street now to get this amazing experience. Thank you guys for making our meeting a very pleasant and memorable one. By the way, your desserts are also amazing. Huge fan.
The food and service are phenomenal!
Birthday dinner we enjoyed everything nice experience
We went to celebrate with family and were disappointed. Multiple times we were passed by from the meat distributors and our cards stayed on green for 90 minutes! This should never happen at a Fogo
I am Brazilian and I took my boyfriend and his son to Fogo for the first time as our first family outing and they never had Brazilian food. It was dinner so I don’t see why I had to request premium meats THREE TIMES and all we got was the very last slices of picanha once. I requested beef ribs, picanha, fraldinha and alcatra. I got nothing. I love Fogo and never had such a disappointing experience before. Gauchos would pass right by us and never stop except for the one with sausage and chicken and steak wrapped in bacon. It was a waste of time and money and kind of embarrassing since I told my family this was the best Brazilian place and very authentic. They were not impressed. I was not impressed. I’ve been there at least 30 times before and I didn’t get the food or service I paid for. I got the salad bar plus four pieces of meat for over $60 a person. Then had to have dinner later at home. We will not be coming back unless this is fixed with dinner for two to make up for the money we wasted and disappointing experience.
We had a reservation at 7:30 PM. We were not seated until 7:54 PM. We birth ordered the experience. It took about 10 minutes to receive our cards. We got our waters shortly after and had to ask for mashed potatoes from another server. The meats took a LONG time to come around. We counted 11 minutes in between receiving meats. We had to request meats multiple times. We also had to ask for potatoes a second time. Our server was not attentive at all. I feel like I overpaid for what I have received from other Fogo’s. I will never eat at this location again. I was not happy at ALL and feel as though I wasted $150.00 plus valet charges.
Great service & Great food
Food was good as always. The service was good. Just would have liked to paying process to have not taken as long as it did.
Birthday , we had to beg for filet mignon, seems like the variety wasn’t has wide as it used to be
We came to celebrate a birthday and it was a blast! The servers were super friendly and funny. The restaurant was clean. The food was obviously plentiful and delicious. We’ll definitely go back!
Very good food for a good price
We were there celebrating friends birthday! The dinner was excellent and so was the service!
Recommend more hot fish options. Maybe include seafood into the endless meat options for non-meat eaters.
Great meal! Good service!
Food is great but I thought the wine was over priced.
Fogo de Chao is a decent restaurant if you enjoy novelties. The food is mediocre at best but the service is great and the place looks really nice. If you want something to do while you're in town and don't mind paying the price it isn't bad but if you're looking for food that matches the price tag this isn't it. There are a lot better steakhouses around that offer much better flavor and I would suggest going to one of them.
The server we had was outstanding. Her customer service skills was beyond professional!
We have been to two other Fogo De Chao steakhouses and to Texas de Brazil and other places like this (including in Brazil). The meat was very slow coming out and we had to make a special request for 3 of the meats that were on the regular rotation that night because we did not see them for the entire 1.5 hours we were there. Moreover, 80% of the meat was well done. We had to turn down meat 4 different times because it was dry and overdone. Then we had to wait 10-15 min for the medium or medium rare steak to come out (the way steak is supposed to be, unless your parents didn't raise you correctly). I'll not go back.
Birthday celebration with my meat loving son. It was perfect! Food was great. Excellent service. Can’t wait to go back.
The food was excellent! Our server never came back to our table. However, there were other servers and the manager who gave us excellent service.
Great! Food was very good. Visiting manager was super!
I used to love going to Fogo de Chao but lately, the last few visits have not been what I originally came to love.
First I'll start with service....
Our waitstaff was very nice. I did have to wait for water more than once, which when you're paying that much for a meal, you should never have to wait for water, but he did apologize, which I appreciated.
There were extremely long waits between meat choices coming around. I'm sure there is a reason for that from a fiscal standpoint, but when you are there trying to enjoy a nice meal, you don't want to have an empty plate for 5 minutes, then start eating again. I remember when I first started going, they would come by so often with meat you had to turn your "stop" sign on to catch up on what you had on your plate before continuing. You won't have to worry about that anymore. I'm basing this thought on my last three visits, not just the last one.
The salad bar was just ok. I do like their cold green bean salad because no one else offers a cold green bean item and I like cold green beans. I've never been crazy about their salad bar, I would always choose Em Chamas salad bar over Fogo de Chao but I know many people who would choose Fogo over Em Chamas. My dining companion is one of them.....he normally loves Fogo's salad bar and even he was unimpressed this time.
The bananas were hard. The potatoes they brought out to our table were cool and bland. I remember them having a little more flavor in the past.
Now the meats: As always, Fogo did not disappoint when it comes to the meats:for the most part. We specifically did not do the discount meal of $39 because she said we wouldn't get the ribeye and some other meats if we did the promotion. I love ribeye and have been wanting to try it, so we opted for the full price option. We had to ask for the ribeye, it had not come around at all. Then, 20 minutes later, it finally comes around and is pretty tough. There was inconsistency to the meat quality
The service at this location is amazing. Our drinks never ran out, the only thing I would suggest is don’t get seated behind the market table. The Servers with the meats can’t see you and it takes awhile to get meat. The meat that did finally get carved was exceptionally tasty.
Tasty food for meat lovers. Noisy, crowded on Saturday night. I’m not a fan of the way the service works. You are constantly being offered a selection of meats. Great tasting but I missed having a selection of starch. Great salad/vegetable offerings from buffet.
This was our first time to enjoy the full Brazilian steakhouse experience. The service was impeccable and the food delicious.
I have always loved the restaurant and brought my fiancé for the first time. We were at a table and a waiter dropped glassware that hit the table. We were immediately escorted to a new table, had amazing service for the night and they even comped the food which was unnecessary because we did not really get too affected by the glass. In any event it was a wonderful dinner as usual. What great service and wonderful folks to deal with.
Great as always.
My husband and I came here for our anniversary dinner and we are so happy we did! The food and service was OUTSTANDING! Everything we tasted had excellent flavor and the servers made sure we were well taken care of. Highly recommend!
I’m a native Southern Brazilian and this is my favorite restaurant. For the first time, I faced issues regarding service. Any request my friend and I had, had to be brought to the servers’s attention more than once. I asked for a second serving of cheese bread three times and never got any. I found it very unprofessional especially when one of the male servers told us it was ok to have a drink because he was drinking that morning. He was young and probably new there. I have never seen him but this should be taken as a training opportunity from a fellow business owner.
food was amazing however music was way too loud for how little the crowd was.
Amazing service, even better meats
Wine was affordable
One of the best places to go to celebrate. I took my girlfriend here the other day and it is now one of her favorite places. The steak here is phenomenal and so tender. We call it an "interactive dinner" and is definitely a unique experience you can't get at a traditional steakhouse!
Amazing dining experience and everything was delicious. All the staff were friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend and can't wait to go back!
They stopped bring out meat around 830, so we started to have to ask for specific meat to come out... we had to wait a long time for anything to come out... we didnt realize they were slowing down their service bc they were trying to close by 9....
Went for the the restaurant month special for $39 upon arriving we were told that didn't include the Ribeye, Filet, or Lamb so we decided to upgrade to the usual $52 meal. The premium meats never came by the table, they finally came after we asked a waiter to bring them by multiple times. The other beef options only came around once. I hate leaving reviews and generally can find something to enjoy about a place but this was so disappointing. The food we got was solid but the service and presentation was so poor it made the entire experience absolutely sorry. Would not recommend.
It was a Friday night on the Plaza. The restaurant was crowded and I had reservations for 7:30. My girlfriend and I were seated at about 8:10 so we got seated a little late. The staff was so friendly and felt bad about them being so busy and that it took longer than expected for them to seat us. They gave us a percentage off our bill for our inconvenience and personally apologized. The ambiance in the room was phenomenal as was the food and atmosphere. Will definitely come back here again!
Didn’t acknowledge our special occasion, and the waitress forgot just about everything. The food was delicious and we saw those people very frequently bringing our food. Our waitress however was few and far between and she would say she was going to bring something and never showed up with it, however other people would come by and ask how we were and would bring us what she couldn’t ever remember to bring us.
I was disappointed that they advertised $39 dinners thru June 30, but we were charged the full price. I thought I must have misread it. Well, you had to ask for the special pricing. This was my first experience at this restaurant, so I was not aware. I also thought Harvest table was, "eh". Could definitely use a new menu choice.
