Honestly, at this time I would not. I've always had good experiences with Fogo, and felt the quality of the meat was comparative with any other high-end steakhouse. Recently, when traveling for business I went to Texas de Brazil and the food was amazing. It reminded me how much I enjoy the Brazilian Steakhouses so it seemed a perfect fit for my daughters 15th birthday. Honestly, there was not one cut of meat that evening that stood out to me as being amazing. The two meats that seemed to be the best prepared for what they were was the Parmesan encrusted port and the bacon wrapped chicken. Here's whats disappointing - we're at a Brazilian STEAKHOUSE - the beef should be amazing. Several of my bites had gristle, the cuts were not overly tender - overall a disappointing meal considering my wife, daughter and her friend - with tip was over $300.00. I thought that evening it was just me, but on the ride home my wife made the same comments I made - it was fine, but it wasn't up to our expectations. I debated about commenting and probably wouldn't have until I received this email. I'm not an overly critical person - Im a pilot and travel for a living so I am used to a wide variety of food and their preparation - my disappointment is when I spend $300 for four of us to have a celebratory dinner, I hope the food is memorable. Monday evening, the quality of the beef was a step below something comparable to Outback Steakhouse and maybe a step above Logans or something comparable. It will be a long long while before I consider another meal at Fogo's in Indianapolis.

Service was lacking in all areas. The restaurant was extremely loud. The food on the other hand was totally amazing!!!!!!

Our service for a group of 12 was terrible. Drinks took forever to come after the initial order, then once they did arrive it took forever for them to be refilled or replaced. Also we were greeted by a gentleman then he never returned. Other servers had to be prompted and flagged down to serve our group. Then once desert time came we again had to catch another server passing by to bring menus. Meal, desert, and all over then again it took an additional 40-45 minutes to get our bill and receipt. Once these simple things were requested it was as if we were inconveniencing the servers to actually serve this large group of guests.

A great experience as always. Even though the restaurant was extremely crowded and the kitchen was having trouble, the staff was able to make up for any shortcomings and still make the experience enjoyable.

Great food. I really hate it when I take the time to Post a review on the website and the demand that I write a review of at least 50 characters. Note to Open Table, I said it was great food, that’s all you really need to know. If you’re smart you remove your 50 character minimum review before people get so upset they won’t even take your surveys.

Great food and service. The meat is well cooked and salted like it should be for a Brazilian steak house. Everything was spot on

We went with friends for lunch. We didn't do the full experience, just the market table (salad bar). It was GREAT, filling and enough. Plus it was $15 per person. Think they were running a special. Go and enjoy!

Our waiter was rude and obnoxious. The rest of the wait staff, hostess and manager were friendly and helpful. Ironically, the meat and seafood was subpar. Their salad bar/market table was excellent. Would only come back for the market table.

We visit Fogo several times a year and have noticed a decline in service. Saturday we were seating and it took about 15mins for someone to take our drink order. We had to ask everytime for drink refills and our sides to be filled. We had a late evening reservation(8:45) and seated at 9pm. At one point all the food service stopped and nothing was offered, except our bill. The gauchos were filling their plates at the salad bar so we knew food service was done. The restaurant was open for another 45 mins but it was very obvious we were being pushed out. We asked for a dessert menu, ordered, and waited 20 mins. Once we were ready for the bill, we were brought over a card scanner and the server stood over us as we were asked to put our tip in! The last straw, as we were leaving two servers were standing in the middle of the main isle having a personal conversation and would not step out of the way for us to get through!! Even after saying, excuse me!
Do not offer late evening reservations if you plan on pushing customers through their meal. Our hard earned money will go elsewhere.

We had a reservation for 7:45 pm. At a little before 8:00 pm, they finally gave us a pager and said that it would be an additional 20 minutes. After watching them seat people without a reservation, we left. This is the 2nd time in the last month that we have had this happen.

We are (were) regular visitors to this location.

Had to ask for water twice and then still waited over 20 min for them and even then was brought by another person that happened to walk by and notice we didn’t have water yet. Paid for the full experience, but never had the beef ribs come around. Don’t feel we had the full amount of meats offered to us.

Other than that, the place was great as always. I did receive a free dessert for my birthday. The food was delicious.

We have been to Fogo in various locations. Each experience has been very positive and this occasion was in keeping with our high expectations of this establishment. The food was outstanding, as was the service. It was a Saturday night so the place was busy but the staff handled it with ease. We were visiting our college sons from out of state. Watching them enjoy this special dinner will stay in our minds for a long time to come. Highly recommend for special occasions, groups, and anyone who enjoys an all you can eat restaurant at the top of its game.

We have been to Fogo numerous times and normally the service is spectacular. However it was not so this visit. Our servers were very polite and courteous, they just disappeared for long periods of time. Our meal took over 3 hours and we watched tables come and go as we sat waiting on our waiter. We waited nearly 45 minutes once the dinner was complete and plates were cleared before we were offiered dessert or check. Normally we love Fogo, but this experience may have us looking elsewhere for our nice date night out.

This visit was for my father in law’s 65th birthday. The food was really good and they took care of him while we were there. It was a late brunch and it definitely felt like there were less meats coming around. Kind of felt rushed so they could prep for dinner.

My husband loves Fogo. When we visited last week, the restaurant was loud, was hard to have a conversation. We would visit more frequently if there were vegetarian options. It stings a little to pay $30 for cold salad, soup and rice.

We have dined here numerous times; this experience was different. We booked at 2pm. This is their last seating before closing the doors until 5.

We received a phone call about 40 minutes prior to our reservation warning us 3 times that our entire party must be inside before 2 or be locked out. We arrived at 1:45.

There very few patrons, we were seated about 5 til 2. At 2:34 (yes we checked the time) - all other patrons were gone - one of the staff asked if there was any other specific meat we wanted to request. We had just received 2 types of meat, everyone had food on their plate - we had no special request. This response was meet with "enjoy the rest of your afternoon", which seemed odd as it was delivered in a somewhat closure fashion - thus causing the time check. Well in fact we read it correctly, they were done serving us.

We were not done. Therefore, after everyone's plates were empties and we had sat for a few with no sign of life other than staff leaving, manager conducting a phone call from another table that included raised voices and other staff getting plates of food from the buffet, we flagged down someone and asked for more food.

Two different staff members came out after our request to inform us that they would have to cook a whole new piece and one type would be 4-6 minutes and the other 7-10 minutes. We said we would wait. The staff was pleasant as they were trying to get rid of us.

Before 3 (less than 1 hour from our reservation) we asked for a desert menu. This was a birthday celebration. When we arrived, upon seeing the cards being given to the birthday person the waitress told us they provide a free desert to the birthday person. When the desert menus (2, we had to share) were brought to the table, before handing them to us we were advised they would be happy to box the deserts to go! While some were uncomfortable to say the least, some opted to eat the ice cream vs have it boxed.

Never book their last reservation time

This is a chain, so there are some aspects over which the individual restaurant has little or no control. No one, even with a reservation was seated immediately, despite there being empty tables. Many people went to the bar for a drink while they waited.

The service in general was good. However, they don’t seem to serve a lot of competitive bodybuilders who eat huge amounts of meat. Things were fine to start. They even asked if there was anything we wanted that hadn’t come by. We asked for lamb. In a few minutes lamb chops and loin of lamb appeared. Then a large number of tables turned over and the food stopped. We just sat there and eventually a second wave of meat arrived and all was good.

We were a little presses for time and the wait staff was very good about bringing the check.

I have been dining at Fogo de Chao’s across the country for the last ten years, but this was my first trip to this location. Was definitely glad I made a reservation as they filled up as the evening went on, however, the service was very inconsistent. The table next to us was seated after we were but ended up with bread before we did and we had to specifically ask for some to be brought. The meat selection was overly poor and slow. We only saw 8 types of meat circulated around us, 3 of them we had to specifically ask for. For example: We were there for 45 mins before we had to ask for the house special. The staff was friendly and accommodating when asked for items, but definitely not the proactive/efficient experience you get accustomed to with Fogo.

Disappointing. First time in the Indianapolis Fogo, being to Chicago before. Except for the picanha (could be a bit more salty though), the meats were only average, the sausage and the rib were mediocre. The side plates were not close to what they used to be (polenta, cheese muffins). The caipirinha tasted like mass produced. Not a great experience for a couple celebrating their anniversary.
