Slow to get food and very limited when it did arrive
To top it off we had a group of 6
All separate checks
They have a tablet that you pay
So each person had to navigate that system and there was only one tablet
Took 45 minutes to pay our bill
Server was new and had issues with the tablet
Needless to say 45 minutes later there were still issues manager came and all he wanted to do was reconcile the equipment as it did not balance even though everyone had their receipts
Will never go back
Best carnivore feast you can get !!!!!!
Service is phenomenal and the myriad of food choices is unbelievable!!!! Freshest produce and choices on the market table along with some delicious choices on the hot table !!!! Hot sides served continuously at your table. We just love Fogo!!!!!!!
Best dining experience
The young lady that greets you when you walk in a pull your reservations was just horrible. Her attitude was nasty even in front of her authority she was very non-caring for a classy style restaurant.
I love the way we was treated and the service was amassing I would recommend this restaurant for any one
Went to FoGo for the first time, I was told there where over 14 types of meat to choose from. Bad thing was the waiters kept bringing the same 5-7 items out. Staff was very polite just expected to try more meat for $150.
I am never disappointed with my experience at Fogo de Chao!
My family of three had the higher value dinner which included 4 high end cuts and the service for those cuts only came around twice my entire time there I definitely did not get my money worth especially $195.00. I will never go back there!
My wife and I go to fogo about once a year for the past decade. This was by far the worst experience. First of all they apparently have two menus now. The crappy devour Indy one and the normal one. Well we didn’t know that until we got down there which was a huge disappointment. You think you are getting a good deal but you find out if you want any of the decent meats you have to pay regular price. We never saw our waitress one time after she “took our order”. No idea if she left for the day or what but we seemed to be afterthoughts for 2-3 other waiters for the rest of the meal. The meats came out in waves, which hasn’t historically been the case for us. We would get a flood of everything for 1 minutes then nothing for 20. It got to the point where my wife felt that she needed to hold her green card up in the air and waive it around for anyone to stop by. Then our dessert took about 15 minutes to come. Lastly the meat was just not as good as normal. Several times I asked for medium rare and got well done meat.
I have been to Fogo de Chao in many different states and this is the only time I have ever been disappointed!! I was only brought to different cuts of beef all night. My waiter never came back to check on us in over an hour.
I was disappointed because I updated to the full experience and got a different circle but was still unable to taste the higher quality meats even after asking several times. Also this is the 3rd time I’ve come for my birthday and even though I let our server know that several times I didn’t get the typical free birthday dessert which was disappointing. My entire table was neglected most of the evening and skipped over by several different meats. Not my best experience.
We used to love FOGO and dined often. We had a party of six and quite frankly we were treated like cattle. In an obvious money grab, tables were crammed in due to the Devour downtown and poorly timed kids eat free promotion. The restaurant was overwhelmed. The servers were frustrated and the circulation of food was extremely poor. If you want to create a fast-food environment for what was usually an excellent restaurant, then stacking promotions and overselling tables is an excellent tactic.
Even though we reserved a table, the wait was long and unpleasant with no room to wait. The young lady at the desk appeared to be overwhelmed and unprepared. We did not see the floor manager, normally a constant presence. We ordered off the full price menu and truthfully we had a subpar experience. Three of the six of us had hot grease spilled on us due to the very cramped space in the normally spacious dining area. It was not the servers fault as they had to work around and between the overcrowded tables.
First time here - we were not disappointed! We tried the Devour menu & everything was delicious. Also got a moderately-priced bottle of merlot. It was my fiancé’s birthday so we also received a complimentary dessert. Great service! Hard to keep up with all the awesome food coming to the table.
So great! The food was incredible and the service was outstanding!
Food and service was amazing! Did not disappoint!
The steakhouse is a fairly good copy of the Brazilian Steakhouse. The real deal is better.
We take our nephew to Fogo for his birthday annually! It's our best meal of the year!
Usually love this place but this time around we only got to try 4 different meats and they kept trying to give us the same thing every time.
Went for the devour downtown special. Was unaware that they changed that special to eliminate some of the more popular meats.. such as the filet & ribeye. Service was sparse, and when we finally asked about wanting to try the filet (as a finish to the meal), the waiter explained the changes. Ok, easy enough, but that sucks. We were asked about desert, and ordered... 20 minutes later, still nothing, no bill, etc. we probably waited a total of 35-40 minutes or more total during various times of the meal. We went last time during devour and unfortunately had a similar problem with service.
Can’t attest for how it is not during devour, but even for an 8pm reservation, the service was unacceptably slow.
Will head to other places in the future.
Unlimited food, great service, and a great chance to try new foods! Devour Indy makes it more affordable and you even get dessert! (We had to take ours home because we were so full!) Very happy with this restaurant, and we will be back!
Ate here for Devour Indy, and the menu was more limited. However, even with that in mind, I was a bit disappointed with the food and service. To begin with, there was a big pot of feijoada, but everyone had picked out all the meat, so all that was left was beans. It was never replaced with a fresh pot. Finally, I had to ask for a dish to be brought out to me. Even then, it was disappointing. Feijoada should have a variety of meats, and this just was mainly sausage with a little bit of pork. It really was just a black bean stew flavored with sausage, and not true feijoada. The salad bar was OK, but nothing special. The meats were good, but the service was really slow. For certain things, like flank steak, we had to specifically request someone to come by, and even then it was 10 or 15 minutes before someone finally came. In the meantime all we could do is sit with empty plates. Maybe it would be better if it wasn't Devour Indy, but I don't think I'll be coming here for a while.
It was good, but have been there before when it was definitely better. Some of the meet was overcooked and dry when I asked for medium. Have been there when service to deliver the meats was a lot quicker, too. They were not too busy, as this was 3pm on a Saturday afternoon. Salad bar was top notch. We visited during Devour Downtown, so our meals came with a dessert. The one waitress tried to cash us out early without the desserts, but luckily another waiter was on top of the game and brought us the desserts.
Exceptional service and a wonderful experience. We will be back!
Been to Fogo many times and enjoy the food and service. As good as it is, it is still very overpriced and very loud. This time, my wife and I went for the devour Indy with an advertised price of $15 below normal, but was told for that price you only get half the meat selections. This was not mentioned anywhere in the marketing that I could find, and I feel it was a classic bait-and-switch to get people in the door. Very disappointed in that. I did go ahead and pay the extra $15 per person for the full menu, but was not happy about it, so that tainted the experience. I will probably be back, but not for a while, as I have somewhat of a bad taste in my mouth for the restaurant at this point.
Food is wonderful and they accommodate gluten free, luv the rolls. Also found out their croutons on the salad bar are gluten free (made from the rolls also)
The service was excellent. All of our servers were very polite and extremely attentive. The food was good.
Since we did Devour we were told we would not get the better cuts of meat. That was disappointing. The bottom sirloin was tough and not chewable. We had reservations at 5:00 pm and served only 6 types of meat. When 6:00 rolled around here they came with a lot more choices and we were already done. Really disappointed. Won’t go back for Devour or maybe not at all. Was one of our favorite places to go.
Had an amazing experience. The food was awesome. Wife talked me into going and I was blown away. I will definitely be back again!
The staff was extremely professional and courteous. The food is delicious. One of my favorite restaurants in Indianapolis.
Not enough meat servers available to serve the customers
Service was a disappointment this time. Wasnt busy but our table was skipped multiple times. Food great as always. My lil boys first time and he loved it!
The food was fantastic and Ismar treated us like royalty, checking on us consistently and making sure our table was having a good time and even better food. I love Fogo and will be back for the amazing experience!
We love it! The service was amazing. I will recommend here.
Went there because all the reviews were great. Was not disappointed. Meat lovers dream. I was however disappointed with the service for a few reasons. Took a very long time to get our checks and we never got asked if we wanted any cocktail or wine by the waiter, so we only had water with dinner. Also, we went for the experience of them bringing all the meat to your table, which was a great all you can eat dinner. However, they also bring around $20 plates of shrimp and make it seem like its all part of the dinner. But they don't tell you it's an extra $20 for 6 pieces of shrimp, they just ask if you want any just like the rest of the food they bring to the table. I felt a little swindled by it. So anyone wanting to go there for the first time, just be aware of that.
Well worth the money, easy to get to, great ambience, hard working, very friendly sraff!
My table of 5 people had the ultimate experience where you get samples of all the various meats. The meat was extremely salty and tough. As I bit into the meat, I crunched on some coarse salt repeatedly. I requested medium but every sample was overcooked. My entire group agreed that the meat was salty and tough. Side dishes were ok. Salad bar was good. Service was ok. I would not recommend.
While we initially were attended to, there were significant periods of time where we waited without attention: 10 minutes for water, no one came by with food (our green cards were face up), and after we were finished our plates were not cleared for at least 10 minutes. When present, the servers were pleasant, but they were absent more than they were present. I think a manager noted the problem because he cleared our plates, but it was most unfortunate given the cost of the meal. It will likely keep us from returning.
What an amazing dinner. Food was outstanding, atmosphere was welcoming. I will go back again.
