Bartenders paid no attention to us. Bar was not busy. We waited ten minutes before we were irritated enough to call for service. Drinks tasted good when they came.
Service is very fast. Too fast. We felt very rushed. Very noisy too. Had to request same item four times before it came. Salad bar was excellent as always.
Service was exceptional. Thanks
Great service . Good food . They will bring whatever you ask from them . Key Lime Pie is delicious.
Great service; great food. The Brazilian theme is also great. The restaurant, however, seems overpriced. We paid $350 for a family of 5, ordering wine by the glass and no dessert. While the food is great, it is still an “all you can eat” restaurant, that is as or even more expensive than a fancy steak house.
A little frustrated with the general service Fogo de Chao Houston has been having these last few months. This used to be a go-to spot for great food and even better service; however, this has changed over the last several months. Our most recent visit was the worst so far--we were seated promptly and drink orders taken and then that was it...We waited and waited and waited for our server, who actually never returned the entire meal, even after bringing it to the managers attention. Normally, the server team is on point with fresh plates, beverage refills, and of course the meat. Not this visit...again, we waited and waited and waited. There was a flood manager walking around yesterday in a pink colored shirt who was more concerned about gossiping with the staff about breaks (actually heard him talking to other servers about going out back to smoke together) than helping loyal customers out. Very disappointed in Fogo de Chao Houston and what it's become over this last year...
We are not happy at all.
Service no friendly or very knowledgeable.
Food just quantity not quality.
It was good, but not $120 without drinks+tip good, wont be back anytime soon.
The first Brazilian steakhouse in Houston. First time I had dined there and it was excellent. Service was attentive, but not overbearing; food was all excellent - even loved the salad bar at this meat lovers restaurant. And the desserts were great also - they comped one for my husband’s birthday. It will be high on our list for our next special occasion.
We enjoy going to Fogo once or twice a year. The salad bar and meat selections are amazing, as is the service! Thanks for another great experience!
The salad bar was mediocre, fruit slices were dry and unripe. Salad bar lacked variety and finesse. The meats were over cooked and very salty, the chicken wrapped in bacon was rubbery. I expected more for the price.
The full churrasco experience was amazing!!!
Fabulous. Food was excellent. We had family in from out of town and we really enjoyed the night. Everything was excellent.
We visited on our most recent trip here, for my Wife's Birthday. Being from Uruguay, my Wife loves dining at Fogo De Chao. The salad bar is itself, worth the trip. There's a wide variety of salads, smoked salmon, cheeses and meats at the salad bar. Once you're ready to try the meats, you flip your coaster token over from "red" to "green", and the gaucho parade of different steaks starts around your table. Everyone in our group has a different favorite meat. I absolutely love the ribeye and the lamb chops here. My Wife loves the Picanha, which is a very tender cut of sirloin. There is such a huge variety of meats to try, there's just not enough time in the day to try them all. The service here absolutely cannot be beat. Glasses are never left empty, and empty plates are whisked away quickly and replaced with a clean one. No one EVER leaves here hungry!! We all LOVE this restaurant.
Pre-Easter (Saturday) get-together lunch with the extended family - why fight the crowds on Sunday. It was relaxed and not crowded. The largest online group reservation is for 14, which matched us fine.
A very broad selection at the salad bar - the vegetarian in our group thrived with just the reduced-price ‘Marketplace’ offerings. The smoked salmon was very good - very smoky - and it might even satisfy a pescatarian.
But the star of the show is the grilled meats - the beef, lamb, and pork were excellent - well seasoned, good sear, juicy, and tender. The chicken however was a bit on the dry side - so don’t bother. My favorite remains the house-speciality, the picanha (sirloin rump cap), which was tender and flavorful as always.
I requested a " Happy Birthday but got a "Happy Anniversary" instead. Staff are all very friendly & hospitable. However, most of the clienteles are a special class of their own, worth going to watch how unconcern folks are of personal grooming. Some of their eating habits is like those seen in prison films. It felt like being at a baseball game but in a restaurant ambiance. Would we go back? No.. not our sort of crowd. Snooty.. perhaps!
Awesome food as always, very good service.
Overall a good dining experience. Possibly not as much on the salad bar as they had in the past but still enough variety to keep most diners happy. A bit pricey but the servers do take excellent care of the patrons.
Food was great and cooked to perfection. Service was a little slower than usual this visit, which surprised me. We were celebrating a special birthday and they were aware ahead of time but they didn't acknowledge it...The food made up for it this visit!
It was an awesome way to celebrate my 18th birthday
Food was good but service was not.
Had reservations and restaurant wasn’t too busy when we were seated; originally tried to put us in this awful corner table. Seriously?
Ordered wine but didn’t have what we wanted so ended up with a more expensive bottle. Went to the bar area after dinner, and they had the original (less expensive) wine that we wanted at the bar. Hmmm!
Awesome place plus meals
Staff was very friendly and selection was amazing!
Excellent food, great service, a family favorite
This is my new favorite restaurant. The salad bar is excellent with lots of choices and lots of types of cheese, but don't fill up on it! All of the meats are fabulous. My favorites are the top sirloin and the picanha. Love the fried polenta as well as the plantains (platanos). The service is top notch as well. The manager remembers us every time. The brunch price is not bad. Dinner is a little pricey but you get fabulous service and high quality meat so definitely worth it.
We went on a Saturday night to celebrate my moms birthday. We typically visit the brazilian steak house down the street but we decided to go here tonight just for a different atmosphere. Service was very slow we had to ask our server multiple times to bring certain things to our table. We also had to request fresh plates multiples times In comparison to other brazilian steak houses the service wasn’t on point. Not sure if I would go back when I have other choices. The experience was not what I expected.
Food was great and we all had fun at the restaurant; however, service was poor. We had to call the servers to bring meat to the table
We love the ‘Picantha’ I think it was, and I personally loved the garlic steak and all the chicken. My wife and I both agreed we didn’t enjoy the lamb, and the regular steak was good mixed in with the salad but pretty normal on its own. The mash potatoes were awesome. The atmosphere quiet and romantic but beware when you flip to the green go side of the give me food sign. You may be the only table out of fifty that shows green so all ten meat delivery guys ATTACK!!!! Lol. And all the surrounding tables get accosted even though they put up the red sign.
This is one of the best place for a great meal and dining experience.
Great the food was amazing I loved it
Great food great service but expensive.
First Time we went for my boyfriend's birthday and it was Amazing, good service, reasonable for the amount of food provided and he loved it. I booked it on Open table and they even remembered to bring out desert and wrote happy birthday on his plate without me saying anything. We will definitely be going back
Superb food and service, wonderful atmosphere, we will definitely visit more often
Love this place! The service is impeccable!
Could not get the waiter’s attention to acknowledge the special occasion
Terrible service and experience. Quality of food and service have definitely gone down. We had to ask several times for drink refills, bread, and certain types of meats to at least three different waiters. Waited over 20 minutes in between meats and finally left when none of the waiters would provide what we asked for. With so many great restaurants in Houston, there's no need to go to a place like this anymore.
We were well taken care of and the staff made sure to check on our large group often. Great food and awesome location of any celebration.
Fogo de Chao wonderful place for those who appreciate good company and good food.
Good food, good wine, good dinner in general
Thank you so much for making my 21st so extra special!
