Garlic Mashed Potatoes
The taste of comfort is given southern brazilian flair with roasted garlic, drawn butter, cracked pepper, and fresh chives.
They seated us thirty minutes after our reservation time. The wait staff seemed overwhelmed. This was not the normal restaurant we are use too. Never seen a night packed like the night we visited.
We went for my girlfriend’s birthday and had a decent time. It was something to experience. The worst part was how long it took to seat us. We had reservations for 7pm but didn’t get seated until 7:30. So not sure what the point of the reservation was. That kind of ruined the whole mood/vibe. But the experience itself, was nice. Many different good meats coming your way fast. It was a good experience but probably not something I’d like to do again anytime soon.
The food is amazing, but you may get skipped at certain times if you don’t catch the guys walking around, and it can be pretty loud depending where you sit, but in total it was a great experience.
We eat at Fogo Addison very often - like 6 times a month or more some months. BEST restaurant in Addison hands down. We go because the food is always good and consistent, the service is always outstanding, and the managers are the friendliest than any restaurant we have been to anywhere in Dallas and the surrounding counties. I highly recommend this restaurant. They will make you feel like you are family and this is your home.
Wonderful date night spot. Great service! Not a lot of social distancing (about 3-4 feet between tables) but staff wears masks and you must wear gloves while you're at the buffet. So that's nice
Food was good, super noisy table next to us. Was not seated for like 40 minutes, even though I made a reservation about a month ago. Not a great time.
It's disappointing to hear your experience wasn't as wonderful as it should've been. You deserve top-notch experiences, so we hope you allow us the chance to deliver this to you in the future.
Im with another reviewer that was not happy. I expected state mandated 75% max capacity when I made my reservation. Fogo seemed to take reservations resulting in 125% capacity on Sat 2/13 Valentines Day weekend. It was unsettling but hard to leave since that was my reservation for the weekend. The tables were closer than Ive experienced and it seemed 'extra' tables were squeezed into normal walk ways. I felt bad for couples being jostled around by people getting food. They seemed to be taking advantage of Valentines Day revenue but putting patrons and employees at risk.
John, we would never put our guests and team at risk, so this is concerning. We can assure you, we will work harder to enforce our safety protocols.
We always love eating here. Food is great and service is good.
The service is terrible, the all foods is terrible and the restaurant is not clean my glass super dirty
Terrible restaurant and I will pay dinner price at 2:30pm ridiculous
This is concerning to hear, as everything should be up to our high standards. We hope to welcome you in the future, as we know we can deliver you the experience you deserve.
Way too many tables so close together. Wasn’t the normal Fogo dining experience. Felt like they were just cramming as many people as they could in there. Don’t feel like it was a $140 experience.
We know our experiences are a bit different due to the current circumstances, however, we should still be earning your 5-stars. We appreciate the feedback, and we hope you're willing to award us a second chance.
Great food and service
Lo had been coming to the same location for more than 8 years due to the service and food
LOVE LOVE LOVE! Just do it. Won’t regret the service
I felt like they were trying to up sell us on everything. And don't go there if you are worried about Covid. There is no social distancing and the restaurant and waiting area was completely full.
Jeff, your health and safety is our priority during these uncertain times, so it's concerning to hear you felt unsafe. We hope you award us another chance to earn your satisfaction in the future.
Outstanding food and great service, easily my favorite Brazilian restaurant!
Fogo was one of my go-to's for a nice filling meal. Usually the meat selection is all outstanding but it seems like Covid has taken a toll on everything but the number of tables seated and the line at the salad bar. The house favorite, picana, was still pretty good but rarely came around. The rib eye was bland, we had to request for the filet to come by and the other meats were either dry or nothing special. Our waiter who first served us vanished after delivering our 1st bottle of wine and if there was a hand off, nobody told us. We ended up flagging down a waitress and she served us from then on and did a good job. The food definitely did not warrant the cost and that is even with a $125 gift card! Having visited Fogo many times in the past, this visit was probably our last. Very disappointed.
The food at Fogo is always amazing, but the service was awful. We had 3 waiters throughout our experience and the first forgot my drink order completely. Anything we asked for was extremely slow. Also there didn’t seem to be any social distancing at all in this restaurant. All the tables were full and back to back to each other.
I have been coming here since opening week. Food and service were excellent. What happened to green and red?
Had not been in a few years. Place was packed (glad to see business doing well). Food was great! The salad bar had fewer items than I remember. Wait staff appeared to be confused. We were seated next to the kitchen and were overlooked several times as the waiters brought out new skewers of meat. It is important for us to adhere to the masks protocol but due to the noise... made it difficult to understand the descriptions of the meat they were serving. Maybe a label on the skewers, for the time being, would be helpful. Will be back!
Amazing!! Incredible!! Delectable!! Phenomenal!!!
We are delighted you enjoyed your dining experience, with us! We look forward to welcoming you again!
I was admittedly nervous about eating indoors. But we were pleased to see the tables sufficiently spaced apart, all of the staff wearing masks, and the brilliant way they handled the salad bar (a very polite gentleman escorted the three of us through the line and served each of us with our requested items; it was a very effective way to maintain the cleanliness AND kept us from overserving ourselves before the main course).
Lovely meal, wonderful experience, our staff were incredibly attentive.
The dining room was extremely loud, I have been to this location many times and I don’t recall it being so pound, people yelling and laughing uncontrollably all around us (probably had some alcoholic drinks) social distancing not so good, people making a line for the salad bar next to each other and tables are still close to each other, also large groups of people seating together. Food was good as always.
Overall good experience. They however have tableside upsells without any clear disclosures. They should reevaluate this as a profitability strategy.
In the days of COVID and reduced restaurant capacity, this restaurant continues to pack seemingly every table. We went here on Friday evening and at the start of the dinner, there were many empty tables but within 40 mins, most tables around us were completely full with very little social distancing. I'm not sure how this is allowed.
The service level has significantly gone down which makes the Addison location border on par with a Lubys cafeteria. Items such as leg of lamb continue to be displayed on the online menu, only to find out upon request they are no longer on the menu. The restaurant has put a strong emphasis on cross-selling - trays of shrimp cocktails being displayed around the restaurant for customers to buy. Premium cuts being shopped around for customer upsell. I am unsure if this is unique to the Addison location since I didn't notice the constant upsell push at the Plano Legacy West location
We also had an issue where we were charged for a drink that never got delivered.
Your safety at the moment is the highest priority, as these are scary times. We apologize for making you feel uncomfortable and leaving you with such an opinion. It is our hope that you will award us another chance in the future.
I felt like the appetizer table was lacking this time around. The tables seemed less than 6 feet apart. I understand they got rid of the stop/go cards to limit contact but the system they currently have doesn't work when you're going to just wave food right at people's faces before moving along to the next table. We won't be returning until this pandemic is under control.
A classy experience every time! Food and drinks were supreme!
Food and drinks were delicious! Domingo and the waiter from Italy were amazing!
Market Table or Salad Bar is one of the best. We went to the weekend Brunch, so add in fresh Waffles and Omelettes. The gaucho servers were very timely. Very good team concept. Even the manager checked in with us a few times. And did I mention the meats are just perfect and delectable.
Staff's always accommodating, pleasant, informative, and efficient. I bring girls afternoon to the bar each time I'm in town to the Fogo bar! The Strawberry Hibiscus is worth the travel!
Me and my family went to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary as well as enjoy new-year eve and we order the cake that are sever forgot that we waited until the end and we had to remind are server, was so crowded lack of customer service the food was good and the cake was soo yummy.
We love this place and will come back for sure in the future. This was a New Years dinner and it was 7 of us celebrating together. As expected the place was super busy. My only complain is that the food was taking forever to come out and servings of meats also took forever in between. Many meats just flat out never made it to the table so we ended up eating 3 out of all the cuts they offer. This has been a difficult year and many restaurants have lost its ability to handle really busy nights. As I said. We will be back and on a regular night this place is fantastic and the food is top notch. Do not let my review of one ok dinner discouraged you from trying out this steakhouse. They are normally fantastic. Best of luck in 2021.
It was New Year’s Eve and they were packed. The staff was super attentive and accommodating. Anything minor that happened was dealt with amazingly. They did a great job. Food was impeccable. Loved it!!!
The salad bar is always outstanding. The selection of meats seemed smaller than it has been in the past, but all were of high quality. The drinks were excellent, and the desserts (which I'd never had room for before) were incredible.
Fantastic as always! The meat was done perfectly and the service couldn’t be any better!!
We received a gift card and I was not expecting to like it as much as I did. I knew my husband would enjoy it, but I thought the buffet was fantastic, the meats were really good and juicy. (My husband favorite was actually the bourbon chicken thigh). I loved the lamb steak. The garlic mashed potatoes were fantastic and the cheese bread was light and fluffy. We ate way too much! The service was fantastic. Don't forget to try the sauces that go with the meat. I loved the mint jelly and the spicy one.
Fogo is a great place. Been to a few Fogos but this one is my favorite. The staff are outstanding. They take care of anything you want. And quick!
Great place to take kids too. They eat and are entertained at the same time.
Food, service and cleanliness always wonderful! The only thing is the salad bar has a lot fewer items compared to before the Plandemic.
I have not been here in years and now I remember why.
This is not a Covid protocol resturant and they pack the tables together way too tight.
People were allowed at Salad bar without a mask but interestingly they give you ONE glove ?!??. I saw two people holding the plate with the gloved hand and touching the spoon with the ungloved hand. Salad bar was poorly staffed and many items were picked over and not replenished.
After the salad we had to ask waiter 3 separate times to bring an extra plate for meal. Server was overwhelmed with tables assigned and we got only one refill on ice tea. Mashed potatoes and plantains came about halfway thru the meal.
Meats were actually good but servers are under intense pressure to keep moving and so you feel rushed to make a decision when asking specifics. (garlic?)
This is a VOLUME resturant and not meant to go to for a special occasion as they want you “in and out”
It was really nice thanks guys. It was Christmas Day and you all pitched in as a team and made me feel like a queen, my hubby also says he felt like a king! Goodbye 2020 and Happy New Year —2021 everybody!
