If you are over booked update open table. There is no reason to have a 930 PM reservation, arrive with 19 tables ahead of seating us. Almost an hour wait to be seated, followed by being rushed to eat. I spent more time waiting then dining.
Love Fogo in the past but this place sucks now. Get it together and get your people together.
Very frustrating to have a reservation for 8:30pm and then not get seating until 9:45pm. We checked in with the host around 8:10pm, they notified us the wait time would be 40mins. but it just doesn’t make sense to have a reservation if we had to wait anyways... The waitress wasn’t bad, the night was busy, so I understand. I wouldn’t have minded to wait till 9pm but over an hour? That’s kind of ridiculous.
I rarely write reviews, even when my experience is not pleasant. I went for DineLA with some friends to enjoy a nice meal. Clearly, the restaurant and its management staff way overbooked for all reservation times. We arrived 30min early from my reservation time expecting that there would be some what of wait/crowds due to it being DineLA only to experience a 30min wait just to check in. It was another 45min to get seated. This caused other patrons to accuse others of cutting the line as personally experienced. I'm surprised that there was no concern for fire safety issues with so many people packed inside the reception/bar area.
It's pretty ridiculous for a restaurant of this magnitude to participate in an event such as this and purposely overbooks. It's a given that their management clearly does not care for its customers and service it provides. It would be common sense to schedule a lot more staff at the very least to assist and be prepared for this pandamonium if they were to do this or not overbook from the start. Even the bar only had 1 bartender serving not just the floor but the bar patrons. My friend waited 20min to try to order a drink but ended up leaving due to the lack of staff.
Our server lacked some common sense in this chaos as the meat attendants skipped our table at least 3-4x even when called upon cause our server didn't provide us with the "yes" and "no" cards. We requested for picana 3x only for it to result in 3 different servers coming with 2 racks apiece all at the same time (clearly lack of communication). Ultimately, it may not be the server's fault but he's left to take the heat of it for the kitchen and staff since he's the front of store besides management.
It was probably not even worth trying to complain to management since they probably can't/won't do much about it and it would be less frustration for us to try to make the best of a bad situation.
Go MGrill instead, same cost, more variety & they handle DineLA much better.
Place was a to chaotic to check in. We made a reservation for 8pm and didn’t get seating til 840pm. What was the point of making a reservation if you are forced to wait. Simply ridiculous.
I had a very horrible experience. The restaurant was recommended by my brother who had dined there tegularly. Maybe it was due to Dine LA. I arrived 30 minutes early for a 730 pm reservation, but had to wait until 815 pm. The waiting room and the adjacent bar were jammed packed with people waiting for dinner. One of the hostess already lost her voice from callsing the customers.0
I was informed that the price for DIneLA excludes certain meats, like prime rib and filet mignon. But that was fine, I order regular price for our party of five. But the servers keep bypassing my tablet when the meats were served.
I was very upset and had to speak with the manager , then the service improved. But even after that, the server would only go to certain tables and keep ignoring me table even though we had raised our hand trying to get some attention. We did not even get to try out the rib, the server would bring out a plateful and ignore my table. We felt like second class citizen.
A Brazilian barbeque restaurant does not have grilled pineapple. What a shocker! Lastly, dessert is not included in the price. I thought this is a buffet restaurant .
Very disappointing dining experience
Went to check Fogo out during DineLA week. There were so many guests in the bar/waiting area that it felt like a zoo. Service was mediocre at best. The servers with the meat kept skipping our table. It was hard to flag down our server as well. Food was good though. Good value for the price.
Very disappointing. Place was overbooked, not enough staff. I was there on time for my reservation and took 30 minutes just to check in. The better cuts of meat were hard to come by and you had to request them repeatedly. Meat was excessively salty. Service was horrible with the exception of a server by the name of Sam.
Friends have told me to go to M Grill next time.
Waited over an hour even with a reservation. Did not give us dineLA price. Not really any service. Food was ok
Location was overbooked, was seated 1 hour after reservation. Service once seated was exceptional as usual.
We went for Dine LA . We had to wait LONG periods of time before the meat came to our table even though the other tables were getting served meat. Not to exaggerate but it was at least 15 minutes between meats. We had to ask the waiter to have meats brought to our table. We also asked for refills on side dishes which never came.
We probably will not go there again for dinner.
