Nice and worthwhile.
Very satisfied this time the first time my family and I went It was at 8:30 at night and I feel like the food was cold and it was meat they been serving all day but this time we went at noon for lunch and the food was wonderful
This was a nice night out, but not something I will do regularly. The service was good and I generally had more meat coming than I could keep up with which was good. There were some very nice cuts of meat (filet mignon & bacon-wrapped filet mignon, chicken, and ribs were quite good) but a few that had more gristle than I would have expected (picanha) or just not a good recipe in my opinion (parmesan-crusted pork - super salty and tough). I can't quite say it was worth the cost for the actual food, but I think you pay somewhat for the experience which was nice, but not worth paying for on a regular basis for me. It is a nice night out if you want to impress with the atmosphere and tableside service and have numerous options.
I have frequented the locations in Tyson’s Corner Virginia, and Washington DC. I decided to visit the Bethesda location since it is closer to my home. Unfortunately it just wasn’t what I expected. Upon arrival, it took 15 minutes for us to get water with lemon, and when we received it we got the bottled water when we asked for regular tap water. It was also not clear who our waiter/waitress was so we continuously found ourselves asking others for assistance. Just not the level of service I expected after receiving great service at other locations.
The food was amazing but I had to ask multiple waiters to finally get sides and water refills.
We love the Brazilian steakhouse experience and they do an excellent job of it there. The only thing we didn’t appreciate this go around were the people walking around ambiguously offering you additional cost al la cart options (shrimp cocktails, specialty drinks, shots). One of them was about to put the shrimp on our table and didn’t explain that they were $21 until I asked him. Very strange, you have a menu, I will order off it, please don’t continue this practice it was very off putting.
I’ve been to the Baltimore location several times and loved it. My date lives closer to the Bethesda location so we went there...deeply disappointed. The wait between meats was pretty lengthy, I asked for medium & he asked for medium rare & several times we received RARE and well done smh. There were servers going around pushing their drink specials & shrimp cocktail specials alllll niiiight, super annoying. The servers were attentive and 2 managers stopped by to check on us, so that was nice. They forgot to give us our complimentary meal coupon for a return visit, we had to ask for it, which sucks because they should automatically put it in the bill book w/the check. Overall I have absolutely no plans or desire to return to the Bethesda location, 1 & done. I’ll stick w/Baltimore or try the DC or Tysons locations.
Great food! Seasoned better this tume
I had to keep asking for our drinks, and side orders, meat was cold at times and so was the restaurant temperature. I was so disappointed.
I loved the layout of the restaurant and our seat next to the window. One of our waiter’s was a young man named Milton and he made suggestions that made our first time at the restaurant wonderful. The every staff member we came into contact with were professional and friendly. We had a great time and will be returning soon. Plus, we shared our dining experience with family and friends!
My husband and I love it here. Leslie always makes us feel at home. She is awesome. We definitely recommend this place 100%.
Great service and food! I would highly recommend FOGO and will plan future visits.
First time at this location. Had a great time with my husband on Valentine's Day. Good food and staff very attentive being that it was very busy,
The food is what you can expect from a place like this what I
My wife and I were both sick shortly after leaving. Definitely food related. We leave next door and will not likely be back.
Way overcrowded with the table layout. Salad bar was mediocre and the dishes were not a good value for the taste. It was Valentines so they were busy but the servers did a good job checking in. The hostesses not so much, my wife arrived first and asked where she was seated for my reservation and I was told that I could go look for her. Thanks...
We won’t go back, this Fogo is not a great value for a steakhouse, go somewhere else.
We enjoyed our dinner. The ambiance was great and the food good. The service was TERRIBLE. It took 25 minutes to get a glass of wine and another 20 minutes to get fresh plates after they removed our old ones.
Always an amazing experience. The staff is incredible and the food is fantastic.
The server disappeared, the food was slow to come, plates weren’t refreshed. It was disappointing.
Everything is good, except we went there for my husband’s birthday and I put simple request of putting a candle on his desert when I made the reservation. They ignored that or forgot that
The staff at Fogo de Chao is wonderful! The food is always fresh and delicious. Servers walked around offering champagne, cocktails & shrimp cocktail. Nice touch! A lovely evening in Pike & Rose!!!
I have been there a few times. The food was not as good as the previous times. Several of the salad items were soggy and they did not taste right. When the side dishes were brought out, they were all cold. The polenta, one of my favorite things, tasted like it was from last year. I also felt harassed by the main maitre'd. I got the feeling that they did like that we did not order the house special (all you can eat meat), but the cheaper version of the dinner, that allows me to eat just one variety of meat + salad bar. I am not sure if I will give this restaurant another chance. It's a hit or miss thing. Sometimes it's fantastic and some other times mediocre. For the price you pay, it should always be fantastic.
Food was tasty and plentiful. One note/recommendation - the soup wasn’t labeled, which would be nice, and it wasn’t warm (much less hot) - but was still tasty. Other note - my husband and son, who had the meat, really wanted lamb chops. None came around and we asked and then waited an additional 30+ min before actually getting the lamb chops. Servers seemed to forget about simple requests - like initially bringing us our water - or take an extremely long time to do so. We did appreciate the complimentary delicious molten chocolate cake for my husband’s birthday.
Great from start to finish. The restaurant itself is beautiful and very inviting. The selection at the salad bar was amazing and everything was super fresh. Service was fast, friendly and very professional. The restaurant was packed, but it was never more than a couple of minutes before we were offered a portion of a different cut of meat. And it was actually hot! And completely delicious, perfectly cooked and very well seasoned. My friend had never been there before and was very impressed. We'll be back for sure! Leslie took great care of us, she was amazing!
We went to celebrate a family event and they went out of their way to make sure we had a good time. Good job to every one involved.
We are fans of Fogo, and have been to several other locations but this was our first time here. Great food, great service! Made our anniversary worth the 90 minute drive!
Best Fogo de Chao location in the DC area. The food is top notch and the entire staff provided me and my family an exceptional service. I live almost an hour away, but will gladly make the drive to experience dining like this again.
Wonderful meal and fabulous service
Towards the end of our meal, we noticed that there was a drop off of food coming by. This may have been because the dining room became more busy. And the staff that we were able to flag down were very helpful in trying to take care of us.
Interior is a bit tame compared to some of their other locations, but very bright, open, and clean.
Had to ask for our drinks 3 times... Not enough servers going around with meat. Had to wait a lot to get the type of meat we wanted. Some meat types were extre2salty. The dc place is much much better
Great food, wonderful food!
Fine. Tables are a bit too close together. Service is hit or miss, some servers very good and some are not so.
Some of the meat was Burn and the mashed potatoes were so cold I ask for new ones and they were still cold
Overall, it was fine. Weird waiter who could not explain anything. He was focused on the alcohol and wine even after we said we did not want any. It was my son's birthday and he told him that he would get a cake. After he got our order we never saw him again. No one came by to clear dirty dishes. The waiters with the meat were fine even though the silver tray with the meat dropped on my son's LAP. The waiter did not really are and didn't check to even see if any juices got on him. Then manager or someone not in a uniform brought cake and put it in front of him and then light the candle. It was all weird and not at all celebratory. Only reason that we would return is because the food was decent. Seems like they need a lot of training and need to get it together. So not such a great experience for a lot of money.
First time at this restaurant and was really excited about it since it was also our anniversary and we never get to go out because we have a young baby at home. The food was really good and what we expected. However, our main waiter kept forgetting about us. We kept seeing him just walking around with his hands behind his back looking around but never at our direction. The waiter for the table next to us noticed we were constantly looking around for him and ended up helping us several times. The experience was completely clouded by the horrible service our server provided. Very unfortunate.
Good experience. Food and ambiance were good. My flan dessert wasn't fully baked though (runny) otherwise all was good
One of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. We should have given up when we got a text confirming our check-in even though we hadn’t left the house. When we called, we learned that our reservation had been given to another party but we could make another one. We did, again identifying the meal as a birthday celebration.
When we arrived the hostess asked us to wait a few minutes and then rudely gestured to us as you would to hurry a small child when our table was ready. The market table was largely depleted. Serving utensils were missing from a number of platters. The gauchos were polite and the meat was cooked to temperature but largely tasteless, chewy, and tough.
At the end, our main server asked if we just wanted the check or needed something else. No offer of dessert or coffee. No acknowledgement of the birthday. We paid and left.
At this point, I wouldn’t go back if they paid me.
It was my birthday and it was also my family and I’s all first time here and we were definitely confused when we got there since we thought it was going to be a regular restaurant ordering off a regular menu. And this experience was far from regular, it was honestly worth every penny. The server was knowledgeable and extremely patient and helpful, any of the ones we had any contact with were very helpful and kind. All of the men who were serving the meat were also super awesome, Cristian, however, stood out to my entire family. He went above and beyond for us, I even apologized for feeling like we were bothering him at some point and not once did he even look anything but happy to help us and make our experience a little extra special. Thank you everyone at Fogo, especially our two servers and Cristian, we’ll definitely be back!
First time, Great Experience. The food was amazing, the cost is high but it was worth every dollar
