Great experience! Thank you!
We had not been to Fogo in a number of years and it doesn't seem to be the treat that it was before. Previously, we had gone to the DC location and thought the service and food was great. This time, they seemed real slow and mostly brought out the lesser cuts of meat. We paid extra for the higher cuts but had to ask for them specifically. Even then, we still didn't get the opportunity to try everything we wanted.
Service was not very attentive either as they couldn't even keep our water glass filled.
Over all, I just don't think the bang for the buck is there anymore. We're unlikely to return.
I've visited the Fogo branches in downtown DC and Baltimore and enjoyed the experience. I visited the new Bethesda branch right after it opened and found the service and food uneven. I gave the restaurant the benefit of the doubt on that occasion because it had just opened. I returned on Veterans Day to take advantage of the discount for veterans. The experience was still disappointing. The place was packed. The service was bad (after 40 minutes with no potatoes and bananas appearing we had to find a waiter to ask for them,) and only a few cuts of meat were properly salted.
I complained to the manager. He apologized, saying that the number of diners was unanticipated so they were "overwhelmed." I replied that we were definitely "underwhelmed."
One of the better locations - open space, bright with plenty of sunlight. Service was good but not outstanding. The food is classic Fogo not disappointed.
I was a first-time diner and the system was not adequately explained to my party resulting in a number of mix-ups and faux pas throughout service. The food was delicious, though I’m afraid I could never have an appetite large enough to justify the cost. Unfortunately I found the male waitstaff ambivalent and distracted. The female waitstaff and manager were extremely friendly and obliging, and one was kind enough to fix an error on our bill. Had everyone been as apt and helpful as these ladies it would have been an exemplary experience
Food was delicious, service was fast, and staff was friendly.
Went for our anniversary and we definitely had a great time ! Food was amazing and our waitress was awesome! Definitely going to come back to this location.
We just went to the Rockville location today for Veterans Day. The servers seemed to avoid our table. We actually had a different table get the attention of one of the servers to bring their skewer over. The only steak they seemed to come over with was the picanha, we got the filet mignon twice, And the bottom sirloin once. We never even saw the New York strip , or the ribeye even once. We had a server actually tell us he had to bring his skewer to a different table before he could serve our table. The restaurant is noisy and you can barely keep a conversation going. Overall this was a crappy experience and I will not eat at this location again.
Meat was incredibly salty and service was slow. Very disappointed in the food and service! Will not be back.
Wonderful dining. A little crowded for me as I have a mobility impairment so I had to navigate between tables, people and servers.
The food was very good. The service was good. However, out table of six sat next to two kids who screamed the entire time. There nanny/mother ate nonstop. At one point she put the male toddler in the stroller and pushed him away from her so that she could continue gorging on the food. The kid pulled a plate off the table and threw it on the floor. It smashed to pieces. The wait staff was visibly annoyed with her. She had been eating nonstop with those two toddlers for roughly three hours. The kids were just tired. It was an unpleasant spectacle.
Great food and a great atmosphere. Our server was not as attentive as we would have liked. She forgot about drinks we ordered and took a long time to check on us.
We had dinner on a Friday night. Fogo was a nice looking and had great ambiance The serve was excellent. The food and drinks were great.
We will definitely eat a Fogo again.
The service needed some help. The management stepped in to fill the gap. You don’t see that often. Usually they only ask and watch from afar.
Excelent experience! Staff was very attentive , specially Krista, Joseph and Fernando! Will definitely try their NYC location!
The food was not up to par with other Fogos, significant delays between each different meat, the meat never came around for seconds, and the service was dreadful. Drinks took forever and the vegetarian meal that was ordered separately never came and the wait staff were indifferent to the situation. Won’t go back
Service was slow yet server made oddly overly eager attempts to please. We had already finished our salads and meats and had ordered after-dinner drinks when he suddenly appeared with 2 plates of vegetables/mashed potatoes. We said "vegetables now?" He made no apology for bringing them so late/not with our meal and actually seemed to imply that this timing was normal and that somehow, we were not. LOL. The food was mediocre and for what it was, insanely overpriced. This place is a one-time novelty restaurant experience at best.
Service was poor
Wow! Excellent food, service, experience! Highly recommend!
very slow service. after being enticed to go for the “full” experience we had to ask several times for those pieces of meat to be served. and even after requesting they never came. probably just received one of the premium cuts in the whole experience
My dad 74 birthday o
A fun place for a business dinner!
Excellent experience. Staff was super friendly and the food was delicious.
Celebrated my sons 16th Birthday
A marvelous dining experience. We enjoyed every aspect of our visit. Great service. Excellent food. Superb beverages. Magnificent
Had a wait a bit for a table; we were 15 minutes late for a 730 reservation but we had called so not quite clear why we had to wait another 15 minutes. After that the experience was all very good; the service was good and the meats etc. brought to the table were often and of The high-quality that we have experienced at this restaurant chain previously. My wife and one daughter mostly did the salad bar and thought it was great. A lot of complaints online about the service but we did not experience it at all and we would definitely recommend it and come back.
The price of the meal varied greatly with menu selections. The prices for wines, other alcoholic beverages and coffee were quite high. Our party by chance ordered none of these,so we each had a very delicious meal at a VERY reasonable price.
The Market Table supposed to have Smoked Salmon. I went to this location twice, once when it was just opened and again in Oct 2019, both times they did not have Smoked Salmon. Soup also was not available. Staffs appear to be uncoordinated and untrained. They appear to be trying their best to provide good service, but without good training it does not provide an upscale dining experience. If living in DMV area, the location at Tyson Corner in VA is so much better compare to this location in North Bethesda. Since we already tried twice, we would not return to this location ever again.
Great but trying too hard to upsell the wines...
It was my friends birthday
Been to many Fogo de Chao's in the past, this is excellent. When asked for a special meat, they promptly delivered. They also made grilled pineapple (upon my request) - the best.
We really enjoyed our time there. The food was well cooked, the service was great, the meat was flowing constantly, and the atmosphere was very nice. We had a two top table and it was big. Not one of those small tables that drive you crazy!
Wonderful Saturday Brunch with family celebrating an Anniversary. The Market Table was simply delicious with added Waffles, Made-to-Order Omelets and a Smoky/Sweet Bacon. And of course the full Churrasco array of meats. Service was exceptional and the dining area was beautiful and spacious. A lovely and festive dining experience!
I love the Fogo de Chao experience! It's a great place for groups and there are options for all types of eaters even vegetarians. Our server was James and he's awesome. All the staff there are so accommodating. I would visit location over and over again.
Food was burnt and had no flavor
We were seated in a smaller rom so the noise level was ok. Reservation was easy through Open Table.
Wait staff was excellent. Food was very good but we liked the food at a Fogo de Chao in CA better. For example, we had a 7:00 reservation and the salad bar was pretty sparse.
The prices are quite high, so I expect excellence.
Food was good. Service was just ok.
Service was abysmal. Waited the better part of 1 hour for desert. Coffee was lukewarm. Waiter forgot the most important desert . Hostess was argumentative. You expect more for those high prices.
Food is insanely delicious and staff is very nice and attentive. It’s loud, but that is a small price to pay for such an amazing meal.
The staff at Fogo are always so helpful and accommodating. Love going there for Saturday brunch with my husband and two well-behaved toddlers. The food is amazing and the kids have a wonderful time. This new Fogo is also beautiful on the interior with plenty of light from the large windows, lovely bar area, plentiful buffet, terrific omelet and waffle station, endless delicious meat and a spacious dining room. There’s a parking garage on the same block so parking is not challenging.
