It was nice but I think it is over priced for 3 people without alcohol it was $230 with a bottle of wine and it would have been 300 or 100 per person
I’ve been to Fogo a few times and it’s usually a great experience. The service was a little slow but I will give them that the restaurant is new in Bethesda. Food wasn’t as amazing as the other times in Baltimore or DC.
Once our server Evelyn explained how the dining worked we had a great experience. She was excellent and very patient with us. Food was great. A fun place. 5 stars to Evelyn!!!!!
Excellent food and outstanding service!!! I definitely recommend Fogo de Chao Bethesda.
Nate our waiter was very attentive and funny. Great Birthday celebration experience for a friend.
The quality and selection of meats were outstanding as was the salad bar. The issue was the service. We were constantly asked if we were done with our plates when we were obviously not, and felt as though we were being rushed the entire evening. That was not pleasant. It was also annoying to have to ask for certain cuts of meat instead of it just coming around to the tables. For these reasons, despite the excellent food, I would hesitate before dining there again.
We came to this new location during restaurant week so obviously it would be busy. Our server was friendly when he did come to our table. Unfortunately it took about 20-25 mins to receive our drinks. We never saw him again after that. We kept looking around for someone to help us and finally after 10 minutes, another server came over to us to explain that our previous server was moved to a different section. We wish someone had told us when this happened and that our new server had been more attentive given the circumstances. The meat is overly salted. I get that there are garlic and sea salt options but it was too much salt. We would choose other rodízio style restaurants over this.
Felt hidden as a table.
The staff was friendly, the visits from the meat servers were plentiful and enthusiastic. We really enjoyed the market garden table and the experience.
We had a great celebratory lunch with family.
All the managers and service staff treated us as if we were the only guests in this very busy restaurant
Fogo de Chao has amazing food. In particular, this new North Bethesda location is a great fun environment and a perfect addition to the neighborhood.
one of our servers dropped an empty wine glass and glass got all over my wife, our table, and our chairs. they moved us to another table but it took a while for us to get more food and new drinks. we know accidents happen but we would have liked a better response time even a free meal for the inconvenience
Service was very good so this is not a reflection of the wait staff and the manager was on top of everything. However, we probably wouldn’t go back because it wasn’t anything special . The salad bar was nice with a big variety. If you really like to eat a lot meat, all roasted then perhaps you would like it. But it wasn’t for us.
While I would recommend Fogo de Chao, I would also recommend making a reservation for a time that allows sufficient time to enjoy the experience. Our reservation was for 1:30 pm, but the restaurant lunch hours end at 2, so while we were there until 2:40; the dining felt rushed as the servers would look at their watches, they stopped bringing meats around and instead pushed us to identify what we were looking to try.
I would also note that the restaurant is participating in restaurant week but when I asked, the server indicated they would only honor the menu/pricing during dinner hours so we were forced to pay the higher lunch pricing for the same food which started the experience off on a bad note.
Overall great food and atmosphere; I will return but at a time that allows for a more leisurely meal.
We always enjoy Fogo, whether for special occasion or a nice evening/lunch out. It's nice to have the new Rockville/Bethesda location. We enjoyed the market bar, and we did have pretty decent service. Our only problem that evening was for three of us who only ordered one meat + market bar. The meat (picanha and chicken) was late to come out, and the chicken actually never came. We did continually ask for it, but the staff were not as diligent as I would have liked/expected to ensure that our single meat choice came to the table. They were apologetic, but still - it shouldn't have taken so long to get the single meat. That being said, we did enjoy our experience and will be returning for sure.
Many of the meats were significantly undercooked and drink service was extremely slow. Compared to the other Fogo de Chao’s, very disappointing experience. Hopefully as time goes on they will improve.
Although they seated us immediately due to we had a reservation, the service was slow in the beginning and the bar was slow to serve our drinks. Also, the complementary sides, i.e. mashed potatoes, etc., were never offered to us until we were ready for our check. The food was good, what we had of it.
Everything was great! Service and ambiance was exceptional. The location and shops were wonderful.
Piece of bacon-wrapped steak was dropped in my lap by a server, leaving large amount of grease on a new pair of pants
Our waitress was extremely rude.
We had another wonderful experience at Fogo de Chao! The salad bar alone is worth the trip and always interesting. This time, we did not feel the need to try every meat but rather focused on those that truly interested us. The service is always excellent, but Leslie makes the experience truly unique. She goes out of her way to accommodate your needs. We had a particular liquor on our prior visit and could not recall the name. She was diligent in finding out what it was, and in making sure we enjoyed same. The non-stuffy atmosphere and ability to tailor your meal make this our choice for a fine dining steakhouse.
The waiter disappeared for almost the entire time. It wasn’t busy when we went. He pretty much made the experience disappointing. The rest of the staff was great. Food was on point as usual.
Not the experience we were hoping for. Signature cocktails were delicious but there was more muddled fruit than beverage in the glasses. The quality of the steak is middle of the road. The pork tenderloin and chicken wings were quite tasty. Desserts took forever once they were ordered. They were a bit disappointing / pretty to look at and lacking taste.
Milton and the rest of the wait staff were AMAZING, to say the least. Yes, the food was great but the service made my experience worth it. I will be back 😁
Our serving team was awesome!! They were super professional and on point with great service!!
Had a great meal, we tried out the full churrasco experience for our anniversary. We had a wonderful prinary server in Mike and we can’t wait to go back.
Definitely grab one of the caipirinha and try the picana steak if you visit!
What a scam - we ordered the Full Churrasco experience and not once did the filet mignon, beef wrapped in steak, grilled cheese, or lamb chops come by. We were nearing the end of the meal and only after we complained, did these items come by one time. The response from the manager was almost unbelievable - he said we had to specifically request those cuts - what?!?! Why would anyone pay for the "full experience" and then have to request that the better quality cuts be brought to the table?? We basically were loaded up with cheap cuts of chicken, pork, and sausage. If you want all you can eat chicken, dried cuts of pork, and sausage, this is the place for you. If you want actual cuts of steak as advertised and shown in their menu, Fogo is NOT the place for you.
Amazing experience and service. Rueben is simply the best.
Amazing service! Food was incredible I didnt think I would full that fast
It was awesome!
We were there two weeks ago with a group of 14 people in a Saturday dinner. The restaurant was full food was ok to much salt on the food. The cheese roll was hot and delicious and they deliver a lot of it before they deliver the meat. We requested some wine , we waited 20 minutes and I asked the server about it he said they are looking for the wine. I personally requested steak and lamb chops at around 6pm the meat came around 6:50pm which a long time to wait. For me a as a customer who paid almost 800$ for dinner i was hoping to get a better service than that . We go all the time to Chima at Tyson corner but this time we decided to go Fogo de Chao In Rockville area.
On July 30th it was my 13 years anniversary my wife and I decided to give anther chance. I told the server that we are here for this occasion. Some of the food was over salted the potato salad was so dry. Some of the staff did a great job. Other staff they come and asked if we need anything and we requested some items they just walk away and never come back. There was a couple sitting next to us they order same food we did and they got charged less than us for dinner deal. I been to your other location in DC and we did not have the same issues here. I hope you guys work on this issues. Forgot to mention that they send us the check before they ask us if we need Dessert or not especially when they know we are there for anniversary dinner.
My office decided to go to Fogo for their lunch salad bar. At $15/person for the salad bar, you get an incredible selection that includes cheeses, upscale salad options, italian meats, candied bacon, and the standard pan de queso (cheese bread) and sides. A great lunch meal that can fill you up on healthier options for a fair price.
I paid $164 for dinner for two. At that price, I am expecting better food.
The service was good, everyone was friendly. Salad bar selection is good and meats were tasty. I recommend the top 3 listed.
Most of the meat was delicious and juicy. The grilled cheddar cheese with honey was AMAZING! Some of the servings were a bit dry like the chicken and pork. It was really loud which made it hard to talk to our whole party of 5.
Beautiful place, amazing food and variety, extremely nice customer service. However, at the bar, long wait time, poor service.
We were sitting in a table for 6 and the table was close to neighboring tables, so the waiters had to squeeze by every time they brought new food. But the food dropped couple times on my guests and the waiters did not even apologize or do anything. We knew they realized they dropped food. We mentioned to the manager but he only gave us some wet-ones to clean.
Everything was fantastic! All staff was awesome and food was amazing...
Servers skipped over us quite a bit. We had to constantly ask for meat servers to come to our table. The service was much better at the Tyson’s Corner location.
