Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse - Baltimore Ratings and Reviews
This was my first time here and I enjoyed it greatly. My fiancee introduced this to me and we was worth the time and money. I loved the atmosphere and the food options. I would love to come back here for another date and/or special occasion. This restaurant is truly one of a kind. It was the highlight of our vacation.
I've been several times but my brother from SC has never been. He's the biggest critic of everything in life. He had a great time. He won't stop talking about his dining experience. HaHa. Greatest dining experience of my life. I would go everyday if I could.
We had a Terrible experience some wait staff were unfriendly, waited to long for desired cuts of meat, did not pay 137.00 for sausage and chicken drumettes and cuts of pork. ..waitress kept pushing mash potatoes on us in lieu of meat. Waited 30 minutes for first serving of meat which was sausage links and pork .we don't eat pork . This was not my first visit this was a poorly managed establishment and frankly we feel robbed for our Valentine weekend dinner.
I really enjoyed Fogo de Chao. It is a restaurant that I would only visited occasionally not on a regular basis. The atmosphere is upscale and relaxing. Took my daughter for her 18th Birthday so that she could have a different experience from what she is use to. She had a nice time and enjoyed the meats. She actually ate more than I did. I'm happy that she enjoyed it.
For the third year in a row, my partner and I have gone to Fogo de Chao for a Valentine's date. And for the third year in a row, we've loved every second of it.
We never feel underdressed or overly formal. Considering the ambience of the restaurant, we try to clean up nice, but since we're going to stuff our faces with an endless supply of meat and sides, it's nice that I can roll up in a loose button up and she can wear something cute and comfortable.
The actual meal itself, really depends on who you are and what you like. We promised ourselves, we won't overload on the sides, we'll focus on the meats we like, and we'll try to refrain from the salad bar.
But, for the third year in a row, without fail, we failed. Rather, I failed. I devoured those cheesy, puffy buns, smeared the mashed potato on every bite of steak, and got a second order of the plantains and polenta.
I couldn't resist the black beans and rice, but only went back to the salad bar to stock up on the quick pickled cucumbers, jalepenos slices, quinoa salad and red onions. These were a must have. Without them, the steaks would have become unbearably salty.
I think the amount of seasoning itself was perfect, but its a LOT of meat, which means, even at a perfect seasoning, is a LOT of salt.
But overall, we had a great meal, with great service, and left feeling like we were royalty.
We'll absolutely be back.
We went to the brunch to celebrate a birthday. We had reservations at opening time. We were seated by the kitchen door which is great if you want hot skewers of meat to hit you first! We enjoyed our meal but would have appreciated the opportunity to order the market table + grill at brunch.
The steak is obviously superb and enough to make the visit. Their salad bar is also very fresh offering numerous options to accompany their steaks. While the ambiance is very fast paced with a lot of staff sometimes literally running by your table they are very customer-focused and approachable. The management staff is also out on the floor very much involved with what's going on on the floor. While refilling my wine glass, one of the managers noticed there was something floating in it. Without any hesitation he offered to refill it with a fresh (half) pour. It definitely wasn't something he had to do, as I wouldn't have cared, but he did so anyway which was very appreciated.
Celebrated my 30th birthday here and had a great time. It was a Friday night and they were pretty busy. Service was great as always and food was amazing. Very good teamwork from the staff and they kept the sides refreshed on the table and they even comped my dessert. My girlfriend is not a meat eater and enjoyed the salad bar very much! I always look forward to my return to this place and will be back!! Great job!
I have been to this type of restaurant before but this visit to Fogo was the bomb. Great food, great service, and ambiance just great. My nephew is suffering with a brain tumor and we were all going to Johns Hopkins the next day and this is the restaurant he wanted to go to. We are coming back for more appts and you will see us again.
Food was great! Just as long as you know that they try to keep the meat on that super small plate so they can fool you with how much you’re eating. Don’t give in! Use a salad plate! Also, know what cuts are better than others before going. They walk around with sirloin way more than the filet mignon for instance.
Despite having a reservation we still had to wait 30 minutes to get a table. We had to request particular cuts of meat as guachos seemed to ignore our table. We were not seated in an ideal location. As always the Market Table did not disappoint. I felt rushed through our meal.
We were so excited to check this place out only to be extremely disappointed. Service was extremely slow. I was expecting to be overwhelmed with food but at times we waited for over 10 minutes to have someone show up with meat. In addition, our waitresses were slow. We had to wait up to 20 minutes for drink and dessert orders. We had to track down someone after 20 minutes to pay our tab. If I am paying $500 for a meal, I would expect to be waited on quickly and not have to follow up with a server. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially for a special occasion.
From start to finish. Had a reservation and still waited 45 minutes to be seated. Initially saw our waiter only for him to never be seen again. Took 15 minutes to get water to the table. Food was delicious! Some meats were over cooked, but for the most part it was on point. Ordered dessert. Awesome. Waited for the check for over 45 minutes though. One of the managers did comp the dessert and some drinks for the wait though. If it hadn't been for the hour plus waiting game, this particular location of fogo de chao would have gotten a higher rating.
I'm still going to recommend people go to Fogo in Baltimore, just maybe not on a packed saturday night. Our past visit was by far the worst/slowest service we have ever had there. Had to have a manager approach us in order to ask for the bill and never got clean plates. Seemed that even while waiting for our table that ordering drinks at the bar was a slow process. Very unfortunate, did not make for a good experience for our group.
Estou ansioso para voltar
My dining partner and I enjoyed our experience and I will be happy to return. I learned a few things during this visit that will inform my next visit and improve my enjoyment of what you offer.
I appreciate the many options and regular stream of offerings, though didn't get quite the attention to my described preferences that I would have preferred. I do expect that when service is by "walking around", the servers will quite understandably offer their, warm, fresh items as quickly as possible. The solution to that would have been, a little less frequent with the offerings while I had a fairly full plate, and a little more frequent offering of what I'd identified as my preference. Also, I sat with my dinner partner at a table for two and was mystified why, when there were many open tables, the host repeatedly tried to seat other single/couple diners right next to us, rather than at other tables away from immediately neighboring diners. Fortunately for us, all those diners asked to be moved to an "open" area themselves. None of this is a "deal breaker" or "game changer" for me, though seemed it should have been easy to resolve, which I will try to emphasize to our main "handler" the next time I dine at Fogo. I had a nice special offer I'd received from Fogo, which made this a very affordable dining experience; without that, I'd have deemed it rather pricey for the value and experience received.
My mom’s 73 rd Birthday, myself and 9 other family members had an awesome time the service was outstanding for a large party we didn’t wait for want any food item, the service again was outstanding!!! My mom and I️ had gone there several times before but this time was better than all previous visits.
Overall great service and food as always! We were able to get a table pretty quickly on a Friday night which was awesome, must have been our lucky night because it's usually so busy! We went a bit later, at 8pm so we must have just missed a rush. Sat in the section past the buffet, had 2 wonderful servers, both ladies were very attentive. The meat selection was great, and our server even sent over the Rib-Eye again after we said how much we liked it. Everything tasted great!
Everything was perfectly cooked and fresh! Service was a little slow but they were really busy. The only complaint I have is that they allow exceedingly obnoxious patrons to continue their shenanigans, rather than see to the aural comfort of everyone else in the room. They were all at the large party tables, so maybe it was the money they didn't want to lose? It made the meal less enjoyable which is sad, because the food is amazing.
