Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse - Baltimore Ratings and Reviews
The food was very good. Our waitress was great at the beginning, but abandoned us 1/2 way through our meal. Service afterwards was very slow and we had to flag people down to get drinks, dessert menus and the bill. Pretty bad service for a bill that ended up being over $800.
Went there to celebrate mine and my friend's birthday. The manager was excellent. It was my friend's first time and he explained everything to her. He recommended good drinks and checked on us to make sure we are taken care of. The service team was also excellent and very attentive.
Our overall experience was very good, though somehow the placement of our table prevented many of the servers from walking past us. There were many times a server would come to our section and then leave after seeing a table or two. We finally had to keep harassing managers to get the foods we wanted.
However, not my normal experience there and I am hoping that this was a one time issue.
This was our first time and it was ok a little uncomfortable because we had to sit at a table that was in the middle of the floor so people kept walking by bumping us or our table .at one point someone dropped a fork on my husbands lap as they were cleaning the next table I was so embarrassed for him and I know our two friends will laugh about this happening to him gosh you guys need better seating and more careful people cleaning tables
This was my second visit to Fogo de Chao and honestly, I was disappointed. Very little of the meat was tender and it was hard to get anything medium rare. Some of the meat was so tough that I couldn't cut it with my knife. This is a very pricey place especially if there are eight of you and for $50.00 per person the meat should be excellent. It is not. The staff, from the front door to the valet was top notch. I don't think they could have been more accommodating. It is too bad they are not serving a better product. We were there to celebrate my 60th birthday. Boo! We won't be going back.
Understaffed for a busy day! We spent Thanksgiving at the restaurant this year and the the service was very slow. We had to ask several times for meat to come to our table and for clean plates. Salad bar had empty items during multiple trips. The staff clearly wasn’t prepared for the volume
The food was excellent as usual, however our waitress was not up to par. When we arrived , there were no plates or cutleries on our table. We have to asked for them. We have to asked for clean plates everytime too. It took almost 10 minutes to get our drink ( bottled water and 1 non alcoholic drink ) and we had to wait for almost 10 minutes also for our coffee. I understand that we came on Thanksgiving night and it was a busy night but the service should still be good.
We have been coming here for years and always enjoyed our experience. However, we have noticed that the last 2 times we have been here, the service has not been what it use to be. We waited 20 minutes for our drinks and the servers were not as attentive as they use to be. It seemed as though there are less servers and the servers they had were trying to do their best, but had a hard time keeping up with demand. We are not sure if we will be going back.
We decided to eat here for Thanksgiving and were very happy we did. They had traditional Thanksgiving food plus the usual gaucho bar and selections of meat. As always, food was prepared perfectly and we had plenty of attention from servers to tend to any request. Be sure to come hungry - there is so much to choose from!
Came here with a group (12) on a Saturday night. The beef was all great (ribeye, top sirloin, filet, etc), the chicken and pork chops were fine, side dishes (garlic mashed potatoes, pao de queijo) were good, and dessert (turtle cheesecake and molten lava cake) were great. They were out of chicken hearts that night. Ordering drinks and desserts was a bit cumbersome. After tax and tip, the meat and salad bar was about $70 a person (add more for dessert and drinks).
We were definitely disappointed. The salad bar seemed to be lacking in the area of just wanting to make a simple salad. The meats were on the fatty side, especially the filet mignon, it wasn't even edible. We were there for over and hour and never once was offered any chicken or sausage. The same 3 things kept coming around constantly. I felt for a $150 dinner with tip we left feeling like we did not get our monies worth that is for sure.
My wife and I were in Baltimore on business, but it was also our wedding anniversary. We decided to celebrate at Fogo de Chao, after the place was highly recommended by a friend. The food was amazing, from the unbelievable market table salad bar, to the cheese-infused dinner rolls, to the never-ending selection of meat. I only wish we didn’t eat our fill so quickly, because I wanted to keep trying more! We will definitely go back if we are in town again, and maybe we’ll fast all day to prepare!
Most times I really enjoy it there this past Saturday the salad bar I don't feel was up to par and unfortunately some people don't care about the salad bar and customers made it a mess so I was unhappy about the salad bar and all the times I've been coming there never had problems with service but I had to wait a few times on the meat to come around... hope that gets better
