For an upscale Brazilian Steakhouse this was not impressive. The noise level made it nearly impossible to have a conversation, the quality of the meat the Gauchos served was not top grade and the Gauchos opinion of rare, medium rare and medium was rather poor.
However, overall it was a decent experience but I wouldn't have your hopes up if you have prior experience with Brazilian Steak House dining.
The place was so loud we couldn’t talk. The food is far from legit Brazilian food. The rice was plain and the beans seasoned with black pepper. We don’t plan to go back.
Overall experience was good, service was great and food was very good. I had saved up my Open Table points to cash in for this special experience. I was disappointing that not only did the servers seem to be confused on how to ring up the dining reward, it also only gave me $40 off when it had been listed as a $50 voucher. Not a huge deal, but still a little disappointing. Other than that, everything was great. I just think next time I'll cash in my points for an Amazon voucher or something, just so I don't have to deal with the hassle when it's time to pay the bill.
Make sure you come hungry, the food is Absolutely amazing and the service is outstanding this is one of the best places in Baltimore to eat you will not be disappointed
Not bad for trying to replicate something from another country. I would have liked to have had Cupim, couldn't believe that wasn't offered. We understand that chicken hearts would not be offered as they aren't eaten by as many people I guess. Grilled pineapple is a must and was missing from this experience.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! Our go to spot. Our favorite is the house sirloin! The staff is so accommodating and friendly. Definitely recommend this place if you are a meat eater like my family and I are!
Cuts of meat were not as good as I remembered from before. Salad bar was great. Service was good, but slow getting our bill.
It was an amazing night and dinner spent over there for the bachelor
I took my boyfriend Nathan and I here for his 25th birthday and it was a wonderful time. From the moment we walked in we felt like we were VERY well attended to. The staff really worked together making sure you were always taken care of and had everything you needed. The steak was so tasty & the lamb was my absolute favorite! Best cuts of meats I’ve ever had!! At the end, we got a free dessert of Nathan’s choosing that was on the house. We’ll be back for another special occasion.
It was a perfect birthday dinner.
Always delivers. You never leave hungry.
Have been there many times. Not long ago we noticed a difference in the food. Sunday was not so good. Looks like new ownership. The cuts of meat all tasted the same and were tough. Quality not the same. Not one familiar staff member. And now a menu? Had to ask for most of the stuff. For $55 a head, not worth it at all. Salad bar not so good. Cheap. Unless you bring back the original staff/owner, that was our last visit.
Restaurant was very crowded. Between the employees and the patrons, it was difficult to get around at times. This harmed the ambiance a bit. However, food was delish, waiter was suuper patient with our wine choices. I do wish there was a stricter dress code, I feel like $55/person for dinner warrants more than sweatpants and t-shirts. Despite that, this is one of our favorite places to go.
My first time there wasnt bad at all a little pricey but the food was delicious
We love it
The food way over priced - child’s price WAY over priced - meat did not come around in variety but the same over and over - salad bar selection was not the greatest and the soup horrible
This was the second time I have a a bad experience at Fogo de Chao.
When I asked someone to please take my water glass that was full I was told just leave it in the middle.
Several times I asked for rolls or for a soda and was told ok. But no one ever followed through..
I wish I wasn’t disappointed in my last two visits but I was.
I think it will be a while before I return.
Is a language barrier the issue...
Always a fantastic experience characterized by superior service and attention to detail!
Didn’t wait long for our table. Had the buffet/steak selection which was really good and fast!
A disappointing visit to Fogo de Chao. I am a big fan of a good churrascaria, but did not find Fogo to be very good on that night. The meat should stand out as the star here, but we found them all to be relatively tough and not very flavorful across the board. Seasoning is bland with the exception of the garlic steak - which was almost comically too garlicky. The best meat that night was the chicken wrapped in bacon.
Service was pretty slow, even considering that it was busy. The staff was friendly.
The décor was disappointing - a little bland considering the cuisine and culture it represents. Did not feel special. Also - the tables are really jammed in there.
At a $55.95 price point - a little steep for the experience. Our group of 3 with tip and no alcohol was around $230. Yikes.
Didn’t know what to expect as this was my first time experiencing Fogo, but it was definitely worth it...from service to food. Highly recommend anyone who’s thinking of trying it out. Come hungry...trust me.
Waited about 20 minutes to even get a drink! Ended up walking to bar!
Outstanding service, Stephanie was our waitress-kind and polite.
The manager came out too-very customer-oriented!
I frequent this place because I luv luv luv their lampchops, which are theeee bomb! The food is exquisite and the service that you receive from the workers is always sincere and genuine. Their mission is to ensure that you have a great experience! I will keep coming back!
Very poor service. Rushed to make a decision. Asked for a 2nd helping of mashed potatoes and it never came. Service was very sporadic.
Being next to the kitchen, we got the meat as it came out and always got the outside cover. Bland and lacking in flavor.
Asked for a receipt when checking out electronically and it never came. Had to find someone and then got the wrong receipt. 5 minutes later the correct receipt was presented.
Ok, so maybe a bad night? Paid over $250 for 4 people to celebrate a birthday and felt ripped off. Very bad value for your money. There are better places and this is not my first visit to Fogo. I have been to other churrasquerias.
Fogo de Chão was almost as good as the ones in Tyson's Corner and downtown DC. I have only one and a half complaints: the Feijoada was just Feijao, and the waiter kept getting distracted.
Besides Long (he was great) the staff seemed a bit pushy and on edge. It also took us 20+ minutes to get our check as we sat their patiently. Food was good, overall feel for service needs work.
My son recommended because of our anniversary .To start our table must of been in bad area because we frequently seen meats out and even though or card was flipped to green they would run out before getting to us and when they came back they started in the same spot we had to request the things we wanted 3 times .I can understand on a busy night but it was hard to figure out who was waiting on us communication was poor.for the cost of dinner I would of expected more .
Expensive but well worth it. Meat is great and I love going here
We use to dine at Fogo regularly but this last time, the waiter didn't stop by our table not even once to ask if we need something. Also the choices of meat were very limited and they was not passing frequently. We had to stop eating so many times waiting for some meat to come our way or we had to ask them for a specific cut .
That was not what we always expect from dinning at Fogo Baltimore
I’m not sure if it was because of the location being in Baltimore or if they are all this way but this was the worst dining experience we’ve had when it comes to Brazilian churrasco. After we got our salad plates, we got approached by the waiter with Parmesan pork, and then some sort of chicken option after that. We tried the pork which was good, said no to the chicken which looked extremely dry. We were waiting for the steaks. We literally sat there for a good 5-7 minutes before we were offered the next meats which was maybe a sirloin. And that time frame continued to be the same the whole night. We looked around to the other tables and we were not the only ones. On top of that, the meats being brought out were either undercooked or over cooked. We usually ask for medium and my friends plate with the salads and selection of cheeses literally got covered in drops of blood because of how rare the meat was! When we said this wasn’t medium, the waiter left and came back 10 minutes later with an extremely well done steak.
Then later on, a waitress approached our table asking if she could clear anything for us. She asked if she can refresh my plate with a new one and I accepted. She never came back...I just took whatever meat we were getting at that point and used the small butter plate to eat. There wasn’t much to put there anyway.
I‘d rather go a little further and go to Chima, it’s worth it
visited for my sons 25th birthday enjoyed every moment
I’ve found that the King of Prussia and Philadelphia location where much nicer, all around. The bathrooms in the Baltimore location were disgusting, the table cloth was dirty.. not what you would expect from Fogo. The male manager, Dalton, was however extremely friendly and gave excellent service. He really was working hard to make sure customers were happy. Our original waitress wasn’t good, at all. Thankfully Dalton was available to assist. Food is as great as the other locations. The service/facilities is where this location needs improvement. We even heard a female manager and our original waitress discussing someone else’s tip, they were standing directly behind us talking about it! Extremely unprofessional. I would have given this experience a 2 star rating if it wasn’t for the manager, Dalton, saving the experience.
Expensive but good, only for a special occasion
The food, as always, was great! Flavorful meats with good seasoning. The gauchos came around quite frequently so we were never waiting long. The service, was not so great. We were seated promptly and greeted promptly by our server who took our drink orders. I ordered a glass of wine and my partner a soda. The server tried to up sell me on a bottle of wine, which I declined because I was the only one drinking. We never got new plates after eating the salad bar. Our meat was being served on top of leftover salads. My partner was out of soda for 20 minutes and had to flag someone down to get him another. At that time we asked for new plates and I ordered another glass of wine. Our server said, "I told you that you should have ordered the bottle. I'll take the glass off and put the $40 bottle on the check instead." I said no, I was only going to have 2 glasses. She was not happy with my response. Then only returned with a new plate for my partner, not me. Again, no refill on the soda, which are not free refills, so we had to flag down a manager to get us one. The manager asked what our server looked like. Really? Just get the refill and take it up with whoever has that section later. Then our server came over and confronted us asking if it was her we ordered from, not the other girl who she was sharing the section with. It doesn't matter...just get us a refill. Its an AYCE place, so people are going to be there a while and are thirsty. It seemed like there was so much confusion. Its a soda. I finally got a new plate at the end of my meal. 2 tables next to us were also looking around for a server for the majority of their meal like we were. They greet you immediately, then disappear once you're sold. For the price of a meal here, the service should be much better. We will not be returning.
Usually happy with experience but service was slow this time. Waited a long time between meat servings and was offered finer cuts less frequently.
Great location, great food and great service. No wait with reservation and parking in nearby lots or valet. Food keep coming hot and fresh and cooked to order. We will be back!!!!!
It’s extremely crowded and the rice seemed like some cheap insta-rice. For the price and quality that Fogo do Chão normally have, the Baltimore location was not up to par with what I’ve grown to expect.
It’s a very very nice place and very very good food
Please get some gluten free desserts.
Only other issue was that your guys going around with the meats favor tables with certain meats. Thought it was my imagination but after a hour and the ribs still bypassed my party four more times at least and went straight to the other two same tables it was evident. That was a bit disheartening for us after the rest was a good experience.
