Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse - Austin Ratings and Reviews
We loved our birthday dinner date night at Fogo de Chao! The wait staff was very friendly and the manager stopped at our table multiple times to ensure we were enjoying ourselves. The service was wonderful, but we did have to wait a little longer than planned for our check. Overall we absolutely loved it!
Everything within the restaurants control was fantastic. However, there was a couple of unruly patrons who were rude and used profanity throughout the meal. We told the manager who attempted to get them out the door as quickly as possible but unfortunately they had already ruined the experience.
First time here service was amazing never needed for anything someone was always there to take care of everything. Got a bottle of wine it was well priced and delicious. The food was well prepared and overall the whole experience was very nice and intimate loved it!
We dined here for my 16 year olds birthday. He loved it but the rest of us thought a lot of the meats were over cooked and dry. The really good meats are not brought around very often. They wait to serve them until you are really full so you won't request them over and over. We never got offered the lamb, and the manager said he would sent them over and there were 3 different ones, but we only got offered two of them. The salad bar is okay. I've been to a Brazilian steakhouse in Charlotte where they had a much better salad bar and a whole sauce bar. I had to ask for the Chimichurra sauce extra. It's a lot of money and I think it could be spend better in another place.
I took my best bud here for his birthday and made note of that when making the reservation. There were a couple of other tables celebrating birthdays as well. Service was noticeably slow and our waitress only refilled our waters once. Another bummer, the other 2 tables with birthdays received a small dessert, my friend did not. Just really disappointing all the way around based off of previous lunch and dinner service.
Asked for filet mignon multiple times including to the manager. After 40 minutes of waiting, filet finally showed and was so rare we had to send back. Reservation was at 2:30p and they charged the dinner rate. We are long time clients and will not go back. Mediocre food, low service (had to ask multiple times for tea refills), and very high price. This concept is destined to fail.
This was a "give them another chance" visit following a Memorial Day dining experience that had less than stellar service. Having been there multiple times over the years the last visit (May 2017) was a huge letdown as service was shoddy. This visit (Sep 2017) restored our faith in the professional service we've come to expect from Fogo. Fun dining experience as "always"! Great sampling their new bone-in cuts.
We enjoyed our dinner very much. All of the meats and sides were delicious. The servers were professional and attentive. I thought the lighting could be dimmed a little to make it feel more cozy. Also free valet or easier self parking would be a nice addition. Overall a great night.
Had to change my reservation last minute, but it was super easy and convenient through open table, and the overall experience at the restaurant was great. The staff was friendly and we briefly mentioned the special occasion we had gone to dinner for when our waiter brought us out a slice of delicious cake. 10/10 I will be coming back!
