Great place to eat. Wife loves to come her for special occupations.

One of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. Do not come here if you want fine dining, or even the bare minimum of decent service. The waitress “forgot” to bring us our sides, we waited for over 30 minutes for the meat to come around, the drinks were horrible, and the server was just plain incompetent.

I don’t know if it’s new management or what the issue is but the service has gotten terrible
we waited well over 20 minutes for someone to wait on us to get us a dessert order. Then we had to wait longer than 20 minutes for the desert which made us late for an event we were in Austin for.
We specifically went to this restaurant because it is mostly self service and quick service and was very disappointed that we never got refilled on the cheese bread or the polenta and no one took our dirty plates from our table. Very disappointed and we’ve been eating there often on for eight years

Good food and people. Bathroom was horribly not clean.

There wasn't much space between tables, our waiter pulled down his mask to talk to us, and we didn't receive one of the chips to signify to gauchos that we were ready for more offerings or not. Overall, it was an overwhelming experience, I will not be back.

Took my youngest SD for her 18th birthday. Both the food and service was incredible. It was awesome that they had fish entrees for pescatarian/Lent observers. They even wrapped up to bones from the fire roasted ribeye for us to bring home to the pups. They made everything wonderful and very special

No words to describe the flavor of this place... absolutely fantastic

The best meats were lacking in return visits. The yard bird was flowing freely, both of my guests raised the same issue. Also disappointing was the salad bar in comparison to Texas de Brazil, very light in offerings. In comparison to Capital Grill & Bob's Steakhouse, I would not return.

Never expected such good service, i was truly amazed and surprised on how good the service was, they were on to of us making sure we were happy and well taken care of.
The food is what I’d expect huge salad bar with all the good stuff and then the meats...
This time I only had the filet mignon which was perfect the first one and not so much the second, but it was my fault for eating so much.
Keep it up you guys are doing the reopening just right!!!

Food was fantastic!!! The service was very nice, but it did take a few waiters coming by to check on us to get my wife wine refilled. Also to order dessert(4 waiters each time). Granted they were busy Saturday night. Also there was a group of about 10-12 guys at one table shouting across the table being very loud. I couldn’t even hear my wife who was sitting next to me at some times. My last thing that made me sad was that they did away with the flags(coasters) colors to say if yo want more food or not. I know it was a small part that they did, but it made the experience that much more meaningful to me as well. Hopefully they bring it back one day. Overall not the best experience, but still a good one.

Family outing

Slow to get initial service; quick dump of options so requires ref to online menu (none provided); things forgotten after order. Food bar selection was very limited for this type of restaurant, compared to others. Only saw less than half of the to-table meat options the entire time there. These were small serving/slices. Ordered shrimp cocktail also, not fresh shrimp of course, and only six for $21...

The service was poor. When You ask for a drink or a special meat, they would take for ever to bring the drink refills. The meats never came. We had to ask several waiters for dessert. They were quick to give you the check even before getting the dessert. We had 4 waiters ask if we were ready for the check. We told them not until we get the desserts. They still brought us the check. Overall a bad experience. The place was not even busy when we got there. Houston location is a lot better.

Wife’s birthday. Service was slow, meat selection was limited, kept bringing the same thing over & over. Never got my mashed potatoes. Glass stayed empty for some time. It was ok.

This was my first time eating at Fogo de Chao! It was amazing. The food was great and the staff were very friendly. My boyfriend and I had a blast celebrating his birthday. We can’t wait to go again!

All meats were great! Waitress just waited a bit too long to get us started on the buffet. Overall, good experience.

The food was mediocre. There weren’t many side options. The ambiance was amazing. And the servers were very attentive.

I read a review that this location didn’t seem as good as others- and I’d have to agree. The meat seemed quite a bit drier and not as well seasoned.

Every part from salad, appetizer, drinks food and dessert was phenomenal and delicious. Servers very nice. It did take forever to get our drinks and dessert which was disappointing, like it felt we were forgotten or something but not something to fuss/make a scene about. Other than that, it was delightful.

The selection was wide from their appetizer/ salad bar to the meat and sides. It was quite overwhelming for people going there on their first time so we appreciated the mechanics being explained to us. Would suggest that servers of the meat have a better knowledge on the meat and have general descriptions to make it easier for people to re-order their favorite cuts. Since it’s pandemic times and the noise level is kind of high would suggest that the servers speak louder and clearer so we can hear them through their mask. Also, it was a little bit chilly inside as well.

Overall it was a great experience with great food! They have great precautionary measures such as gloves and wearing masks. We appreciate our server and cashier person, Otilio, and Alfredo. Will definitely come back again! Thanks for a pleasant Valentine’s dinner. They also gave us complimentary $25 gift card for our next visit as a part of their Valentine’s promo which was a welcome surprise!

The food was pretty good but overall value for the price was low. The service was fine except the wait staff checked up on us almost too much. I also think having the green/red cards would help indicate to the staff that we were not wanting any more meat instead of having to say no thank you 10 times. We also ordered a bottle of white wine that was served room temperature, which was probably the most annoying aspect of the meal. They forgot to offer us the sides until 3/4 of the way through our meal. Other reviews were right in saying the inside of the restaurant is very plain. It is interesting becaues I have memories of going to a Fogo De Chao in Philaedelphia when I was a kid and it was so memorable because of how extravagent the experience felt. Would not recommend wasting your money on this location! Plenty of other better restaurants in Austin.

Celebrating Valentine’s with S/O

Very difficult to enforce COVID-19 protocols in a place like this, though the Staff did their best with what they could to make it as safe as possible. Most of the cuts of meat fried (about 12 of the 18) were honestly not seasoned enough with salt and pepper making them kinda bland. The Garlic and Parmesan flavored meats were seasoned well. Any of the beef asked for at Medium were done a bit more and dry as if they’d been cut without resting. The cuts asked for Medium Rare were Ok.

Te food always comes fast and furious and never disappoints. The meats are always cooked to perfection. The service was a bit slow this visit- not sure if because it was mid-week or short on staff.

Special birthday dinner. Great ambiance and outstanding service. Food was good -- great salad bar; nice side dishes; "all you can eat" meat. Great variety of "gaucho style" roasted meats. Meat quality was variable (some very tender, some a little chewy, frequently well-done), but always very tasty (great seasonings). Service is so attentive it is almost overwhelming. Made up a nice "birthday dessert" for my diabetic brother. Overall, a very enjoyable experience. I will always return for special occaisions.
